The Hohe (HOY) House; is a private, and spacious 1200 sqft. 2nd story, 2BR/ 2BA Ocean View Beach House, with two sun decks, and parking for two cars.
We are located at the Southern border of La Jolla, in a unique North Pacific Beach neighborhood, next to the water, at Law Street Beach. It's a great Family Beach. 'The area's best beach' as quoted in (S.D. Home & Garden Mag.). Our Beach features a grassy park, with showers, restrooms, overlooking the beach with lifeguard services, Swimming, Boogie Boarding, and Surfing. Our Pacific Beach/Mission Beach Boardwalk begin at the park, and heads South for 3 1/2 miles through all the Beach Community. We're located close to all the beach has to offer[Beach, Boardwalk , Restaurants and Shopping], yet quietly removed from the hubs of activity for a nice night's sleep.
* We supply the Bikes, Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, and even Boogie Boards, so that you can enjoy the neighborhood the way we do.
** We are Dog Friendly for folks traveling with their pups.
Amenities also include 3 TVs with Digital Cable, 6 HBOS, DVD, VCR) CD Stereo, as well as Wireless Internet. Two generous decks, a propane barbecue grill with teak furniture for dining and relaxing.
The Kitchen is fully equipped, with an Ocean View, and Breakfast Bar. We provide a Dining area for 6, and direct access to the Patio deck and BBQ.
Hohe House sleeps six, with an Ocean View Master Bedroom and full Bath, with Comfortable, King Bed. The Second Bedroom has two Double beds. Both Bedrooms have a Writing desk, Cable TV with VCR/DVD, and CD player, as well as Ceiling fans.
The Bathrooms are newly remodel, with tile floors, beadboard wainscoating, full bathtubs and shower w/marble surrounds. Each Bathroom has two separate vanities with sinks.
Close to all sorts of water activities: Boating, Kyaking, Surfing, Swimming, Boogie Boarding, Jet Skis...you name it.

Steven, Karron and Sage were a joy to meet. The accomodation were superior. Your every need was thought out and covered. Just bring your suitcase! It is such a lovely location, we will be returning without a doubt.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We wanted to stay somewhere special for our anniversary where we could take our dogs. The owners, the Hohe's, were able to provide us with a very reasonable "Pet Policy," online and were always quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. When we arrived, I was surprised at how well the home was equipped with beach towels, appliances, shampoo, body gel, even hair dryers and curling irons in each bathroom...the fridge was also equipped with condiments and an ice maker. The ocean view was a welcomed site from the living room and large deck where we spent many mornings and evenings worshiping the fragrance of the sea air while listening to the ocean waves. Our dogs loved the many walks around the quaint neighborhood and on the beach which was available from 6:00 p.m. in the evening until 9:00 a.m. in the morning. In addition, the owner's also shared their bicycles, umbrellas and beach chairs with their guests. I could probably write a book explaining the many benefits that the Hohe House has to offer like the Time Warner Cable with movie channels, etc. so I'll just say that we have recommended any and all of the Hohe's properties to our family and friends as we think these owners have gone above and beyond our expectations of providing comfortable, beautiful and highly functional homes away from home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just spent a week at the Hohe Beach House. Everything was perfect and exactly as they described it; definitely well maintained and clean. The location was just a short walk from the beach and boardwalk so we never had to drive anywhere, but just far enough from all of the action to have a quiet, relaxing week. All of the beach bikes, beach chairs, and boogie boards were in great condition. Steve and Karron are warm, friendly, and helpful hosts and we loved their dog, Sage. We would absolutely recommend any of their vacation properties. While you are staying at the Hohe Beach House walk to Kono's on the boardwalk for the best coffee and great breakfasts.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My husband & I loved our stay in the Hohe House studio. The suite was perfect in every way. It was extremely well appointed. We felt like special guests in a private, cozy little hide away. The location was great! Very quiet and so close to the beach, boardwalk, famous Crystal Pier, restaurants and shops. Steven & Karron are the perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful and they have gone the extra mile in decorating the suite. They provide everything you need and more. We loved using the bikes they provide and used them to cruise the boardwalk at the beach. The only thing we didn't like about our time spent there was that it was too short! We will make Hohe House our first choice to stay when we return to San Diego.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

About the owner: Hi ! We're Steve & Karron Hohe ( HOHE ). My wife, Karron and I are San Diego natives... Born and raised at the Beach. The Beach is in our blood, and an integral part of our lives. We have raised our children here, and are now blessed to have our three grandkids continue the beach lineage. I've been Surfing since I was nine, and Karron is a long distance runner who loves to be able to kick back at the waters edge with a good book. As the co founder of The Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes Restaurants over 30 years ago, we have continued a passion for hospitality. As we have retired from the restaurant life, we have not lost that passion.
Why the Owner Chose Pacific Beach:
As a boy in High School, my folks moved from the beach to a few miles inland from the water. I was naturally upset, and did all I could to get back to the beach every chance I could. After College, I bought my first home near my parents, but always kept my sight on the beach...'Some Day' I'd say ! One home at a time I was able to first get back to the beach, and each time a little closer to the water. One day, 22 years ago, our current home came up for sale. I jumped at the opportunity, and will never move again. The one square block of homes in our beach neighborhood all have two homes on each lot. This presented the perfect opportunity to both live in one of my favorite places on earth, and be able to personally share it with others. Our Beach Home resides on the same property as our Hohe House & Guest Studio. We truly enjoy sharing our homes, neighborhood, Beach, and community with folks. We love it here, and try to set you up with everything you will need, from Bicycles & Boogie Boards, to Wireless Internet, so you can enjoy our town the way we do.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This neighborhood is close to all the unique places in San Diego that make it so special. A 10 - 15 minute drive to every attraction in town, or park the car and stroll or bike to all you need to be quite happy and refreshed... again, we provide the bikes. You have a nice ocean view from the Hohe House, and though you are close to all... you will be quietly removed from the hubs of fun activities, to always get a quiet nights sleep. You can listen to the waves breaking while you lie in bed, and appreciate the wonderful sea air. It's a 2-3 minute walk to have your toes in the sand. You will also have us as neighbors. Though we always respect your privacy ( sometimes we never see our guests at all ) we can always be available to help guide you to all the best spots to explore, shop, or dine.
