My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this loft. Anjal's friendly husband met us and let us in as soon as we got into town. The loft was much bigger than expected, very clean, and matched the listing photos. Although we had a friend in town to drive us around, we could have just as easily traveled on Muni (a few blocks away), and we noticed many taxis near the loft. The loft is near the Dogpatch neighborhood, and we were able to walk to a good breakfast (Just for You Cafe) and a bar. We also heard that there is good ice cream and a great butcher nearby. We have no complaints or concerns about this property and will be recommending this to friends and family.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The condo is acceptable but was a bit of a disappointment. It was very spacious. However, it was not up to my standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Some of the unit is showing wear and needs to be taken care of. The location was great for parking. However it really isn't an area to be able to walk to restaurants or shopping. It also was a bit noisy for my taste but after the first night, we appeared to get used to it. Probably would not stay here again. Would prefer something closer for walking and also cleaner.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I took a long weekend trip to San Francisco and decided to try VRBO as my friends discussed with me on how using VRBO is so much better an experience and value than booking a hotel room. Upon looking for a place to stay in San Francisco, I came upon this loft in the Protrero Hill area and it was just what I was looking for. I can honestly say that the pictures on this website does not do this place justice. Upon taking my first steps into this place I was literally stunned and overjoyed on how amazing this place really is. It is spacious, beautiful, clean and very comfortable. From the kitchen to the living room, to the bedroom, you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel, and yet you feel at peace and at home. Having the secured parking was a total added bonus! I cannot say enough great things about this place. If you are looking to stay in San Francisco, don't look for a hotel, book this place, you will truly have an amazing time staying here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Could have done with a proper clean before we arrived - not sure why we're paying a $100 cleaning fee when it's obvious it hasn't been properly vaccuumed or dusted, etc since previous tenants. Approx 10min drive to Pier 39, etc - very handy to have own transport as was unsure of local transportation options. Parking space inside garage is really small - easier to park on the street. Industrial area but still a little noisy with trucks and buses at all hours of the night. Very spacious loft with good kitchen facilites - could have done with a little more in the way of pots, frying pans, sharp knives. Nice comfy bed. Hot water can take a while to heat up. Traffic along Embarcadero getting back from downtown can be horrible when there's a game on at AT&T Park. Colder than we expected for so early in the season.Recommended for: Sightseeing.
Owner response: I am very sorry that the cleanliness of the loft was not satisfactory. I have since spoken with my housekeeper to address these issues. Hopefully, it will not be an issue in the future. I will send you a 50% refund of your cleaning fees. Thank you for your feedback.

We have four kids and had plenty of space here. Should have brought an air mattress or two because the Q bed and couch sleep four. Pros are that this place is super-spacious, conveniently located, and beautifully furnished. Cons include the industrial, unattractive neighborhood, tight parking, and constant car noise (OK if windows stay shut). Overall, I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay in SF. The owner, Anjal, is very nice, and we would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

My husband, daughter and I stayed in this condo for our 1 week vacation. It is an extremely nice place and is described and pictured accurately. Very roomy, clean and quiet. Convenient to expressways. And Anjal is a very nice person to deal with - honest, helpful, and understanding (especially when our flight was delayed 2 hours!) You won't be sorry if you stay here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Anjal's loft was a great place for us to stay. It is clean, spacious, quiet and close to many restaurants and a muni stop. There was plenty of room for me, my husband and 2 teenagers. If the garage parking spot is too tight for you, there is also plenty of parking on the street. We met with friends each day we were there and they never had a problem parking. We would definately stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Anjal's loft is beautiful and spacious. If you've ever dreamed of living in a hip, loft apartment in the city, this place is for you. After spending the day in the bustling city or fighting traffic around town, it was nice to come home to a clean, bright, and homey space. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable. The appliances in the kitchen are top notch-- including a great coffee maker that grinds your beans right before you brew! The building is secure and quiet. You are a five minute (max) walk from the light rail which comes regularly and on schedule. You can hop on the freeway in two minutes and be zooming to the east bay or south bay. There's a great dog walk just a block up the street, and if you walk five blocks north, there's a great park where the doggies play off leash together. Anjal was the best host! She was prompt in all communications and met us quickly to help us check in and start relaxing. We really liked the area; it is part industrial part residential, which made it quiet and secluded from the hustle and bustle. Don't miss Dynamo Donuts and Coffee, which is just up the hill (1.3 miles away at 24th and Hampshire). I recommend the spiced chocolate, lemon thyme, or the candied rhubarb donuts (they are dog friendly there, too!) YUM! Also, if you run/jog/walk, Third Street has nice wide sidewalks and is a bit quieter for a jog down to AT&T park (2.1 miles one way/4.2 RT). There are always others running along the bay on 3rd, so you don't feel alone. We would 100% stay here again, and we would recommend this place to other couples who want a city getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My boyfriend and I had a very pleasant stay at this loft. The host (and her family) were very accomodating and attentive whilst checking us in and making sure we were taken care of during our stay. The space is much better in person - we couldn't get over how spacious, beautifully decorated and clean the place was. Please keep in mind that we come from NYC and that space is VALUABLE - but i'm sure this place could have easily fitted 2 more adults comfortably (the additional adults would have to sleep on the super comfy couches - my bf and I fell asleep on them a number of times). We enjoyed using the huge kitchen to prepare breakfast and coffee almost every morning. And for those 'down' times, the loft has an upstairs and downstairs cable TVs. You are given the option to park your car in the garage and EASILY on the street. Trust me, street parking is not something you come by easily in SF. The space is close to cute cafes/restaurants and it's a 5 minute drive to WholeFoods and a Safeway. I'm definitely planning on staying here again when I visit SF in the near future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Anjal's Loft is very roomy and nicely furnished. It was clean and well maintained. The garage parking is a little tricky, but it beats the street. The garage door can be a pain, but that is the only negative. The Serpentine Restaurant is a few blocks away on 3rd Street. The Monday night buffet at Goat Hill Pizza is great and inexpensive. Whole Foods is only a few blocks away on Rhode Island. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. We stayed from 12-17 May 2011.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: Being a San Francisco native, I can be a source of great information about our wonderful city. It is a great place to visit, better place to live and I would never leave! I still live nearby, and only left my beautiful loft to start a family in a bigger home.
Why the Owner Chose Potrero Hill:
Having lived in the loft myself for over 7 years, I can attest to it's great location. It is conveniently located right off the freeway with great access to everything. You are in San Francisco, yet do not have to experience the unique culture of our street populations that often happens when you stay in other neighborhoods closer to downtown. It is completely safe and always gets the best weather. You experience daily morning sun streaming through the huge windows.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Staying at this loft, you are literally 10 minutes from everything in San Francisco; the Ferry Building, shopping downtown, the Golden Gate Bridge. And it's easy to plan day trips from here; wine tasting in the Napa Valley, hiking on Mount Tamalpais, cruising the Monterey Coast to Carmel. It is also a very quiet building with all 100% owners occupying the units so it is very well maintained.
