This is a great house for a family or romantic getaway. It is clean, spacious, and had all of the amenities of home. After a long day of activities it was nice to just sit on the lanai and relax while the children were playing in the game room. It was perfect for our family. I highly recommend this property. I will be coming back to this gem!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was truly a cozy home to stay in for a relaxing family vacation! The drive down the mountain was beautiful and exciting, with amazing views of the ocean and old lava flows. The house was well stocked with everything you might need. And Lynn was a great host. We were happy spending most of our days in Milolii enjoying the hiking and swimming at Honomolino beach. Once home, we just relaxed on the lanai while the kids enjoyed the game room. I LOVED hearing the whales in the bay at night, and our drives through the fishing village. We did venture up the mountain one day for a 45 minute drive toward the Kealakekua area, to restock groceries, visit a coffee & mac nut farm and to snorkel. And we spent an afternoon in Kailua-Kona while heading to the airport on our last day. This house is a bit far from town, but if you're looking for a quiet low-key get-a-way without the hustle of town life, this is the spot. I'll be back for sure!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Celebrated our 25th anniversary. Lynn the Manager, Manager of the Year, had everything and MORE ready for our late night arrival. Great directions, lights on, fans on, food & cold drinks in the fridge, info package on the Island. Felt welcomed and most comfortable. Lani was spacious, great view. Every morning watched for whales to pass by. Hard to get motivated to go explore when we had the most relaxing and peaceful place. Quiet neighborhood. This location was great for R&R. Spectacular breath taking view to the house. The house was equipped with everything, and MORE !!! Private, quiet beaches near by, great for snorkelling and putting in the kayaks. Do try fishing ---( secret... you"ll need bait) Went in the Kayaks and the whales swam by us 100ft away. Can't beat that!!! And the best part.....The House Gekgo!!! The cutiest thing.... had breakfast with us on our last day!!! If you decide to stay here, take care of him!!! And say hi to Lynn for us!!! THUMBS UP!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Nice house, clean, well stocked, and comfortable. It was in a perfect location with plenty of choices for things to do near by. We enjoyed our stay every single day. If we ever visit this island again, I would love to go back to this same house! Lynn was thoughtful! The guestbook Lynn put together was very helpful, as it contained a lot of information about the island, the activities it had to offer, and restaurants ect. ect.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My family and I have recently returned after spending 7 wonderful nights at the Aloha Beach house. If you want something a little off the beaten path to escape the resort feel this place is the one. This house has everything in the kitchen that you will need to be self sufficient. The location is quiet and relaxing as you sip your beverage of choice from the spacious lanai accompanied by the pounding surf. Beautiful ocean views will be your companion as you sip your morning coffee. Lynn was very friendly and infinitely helpful while remaining completely unobtrusive during our visit. I would return to this house without hesitation! Mahalo Lynn!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The Aloha Beach House is a wonderful place! I've spent 25 in the tourism business, owned vacation rentals and I can assure you that this place is incredible! House was spotless clean when we arrived and everything was in working order. Bedding, towels and all furniture were very neat and clean. The house has a fantastic view of the Pacific and it is a very short walk to the snorkeling area. We saw lots of fish. I had coffee each morning on the Lanai and the gentle cool breezes were fabulous. I would recommend this house and location to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is a 45 minute drive from Kona and the neighborhood was very quiet. Lynn was a fabulous manager and welcomed us to the house when we arrived. Very peaceful! Highly recommended!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I recently stayed at the beach house and could not have had a better time. The home and the extra steps taken by the property manager to ensure a wonderful stay (such as the guest book prepared for expalining the local area attractions and places to eat, the beach gear in the garage cleanly organized and in so many sizes and the general cleanliness of the entire home) were greatly appreciated. Thank you for doing such a great job and we will certainly be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have visited the Aloha Beach House twice now, and both have been a wonderful experiences. I am a retired hotelier and I must say that they do it all right. The premises are clean and well maintained. The location is perfect. Lynn, the manager, lives in the community and has been very helpful and pleasant. And the prices are competetive. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. And, I have recommended it to my friends. In life, every once in a while you find a gem, and this is one of them.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great house. Had 6 of us there all from Alaska and a great time it was clean, quiet and well taken care of. It is by one of the best beaches swam with spinner dolphins 6 times and got some fabulous pictures and the snorkeling was fabulous there also and right by the house. We watched the whales and sunrise from the lenia. We also enjoyed the snorkeling at two step and Hookena Beach. We also used the kayak's to go to captain cooks monument which was also good snorkeling, I would also say that Lynn is a great hostess and would like to thank Richard for a great house. We will be back next year already making plans. If anyone likes charter fishing the Linda Sue III is great the captain is fun and the deck hand is great caught a Marlin and a Mauhi, Mauhi he is also one of Richards friends check it out and have a great time. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty on land and under the water.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This stay exceeded all expectations! The beach house has everything you need! After a long flight it was fantastic to arrive at such a beautiful property. We saw whales everday from the Lanai! We also went to Honomalino Beach a couple times, which is a true hidden gem, we saw 10-15 spinner dolphins who stayed in the bay all day long! Lynn is doll, she provides anything you require and has any information you need. This vacation was truly one of the best!!!! We liked it so much we bought a lot at Milolii :) If you want a relaxed, quiet vacation this is a great place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We recently returned home after spending six nights here. The house has everything you need and the lanai is a great place to relax and unwind. My husband and I were, according to Lynn, the first to have stayed there traveling via motorcycle. One word of advice if you too might be doing the same...be sure you're an experienced rider and able to handle steep, twisty roads. I was a bit anxious as the passenger (thus my four star rating),but this completed all 50 states for us traveling on a bike so needless to say, my "driver" has LOTS of experience. I got some beautiful sunset pictures, and the stars at night were amazing. If you're in to peace and quiet definately consider staying here. It's a ways to the nearest store so stock up on supplies, settle in, and just kick back and enjoy. Both Lynn and Richard were wonderful to deal with. Thanks to you both for everything!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house has everything you'll need: washer/dryer, beach towels, coolers, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, kayaks, life vests, kitchens tools, bug spray, binoculars, drinking water, etc.....and I'm sure I missed some stuff! It's roomy, well-maintained and pretty private. It's in a small housing development with a couple of houses a little bit close in the back (we are people who enjoy our space and we didn't feel cramped) but pretty open for the most part. It has an awesome view of the ocean (and dolphins & whales!!) which is only about 1.5 blocks away and it's set up just right to catch the breezes to keep the house comfortable. The lanai is large with lots of outdoor furniture to relax in - we spent ALOT of time on the lanai! We also made good use of the kitchen and ate in quite a bit. Miloli'i is somewhat isolated depending on your perspective and it does take a little bit of a commitment to get in and out of there but I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anybody who enjoys solitude, quiet and relaxation. This house is not for somebody wanting to stay in the heart of the action, right on the beach or who wants to walk to restaurants and other amenities.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was the most relaxing Hawaiian experience of many trips to the islands. The house in Milolii had everything we could possibly need and a peaceful setting. The kayaks. snorkel gear. golf cart. beach chairs etc. enabled us to enjoy all the area has to offer. We particulary loved Honomolina Beach. The short walk from the park is not difficult and the beach is a treasure. Never crowded and good for kayaking. boogey boarding. fishing. snorkeling and shell collecting. Even after taking our young adult children to the white sands of Hapuna a few times they preferred "our beach". We were entertained by spinner dolphins at the beach on our last day. A nice farewell. Lynne was the perfect manager...always helpful with suggestions and tips. Although everything about the house and ammentities was a five star. the mosquitoes were initially a problem (and we have experience with Alaskan mosquitoes). We were able to adapt and thoroughly enjoy our stay nontheless.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at three different properties in the state of Hawaii that we rented though VRBO. This one set the gold standard! The owner's rep asked us to call when we arrived and check in. We needed to call her a couple of times for information and one urgent matter. She was so nice and responded immediately. The entire property was immaculate! The whole house was very well appointed. It had everything we could have ever needed or asked for. The owner obviously cares about this property and wants his guests to enjoy themselves! Everything looked just like in the pictures. There was no misleading information. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this property to others. There is not one negetive comment for this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We (family of 5) just got back after spending 4 nights at the Aloha Beach House............the good: unbelievably well appointed house, it has absolutely EVERYTHING you could need or want! The game room was great, the use of the golf cart is a bonus, all the beach equipment is so nice to have, the beds are ultra-comfortable, the Lanai is so nice........though we didn't get the bonus of any truly amazing sunsets due to it being overcast almost every evening. Without the clouds though the sunsets would be unrivaled. The swimming cove / snorkeling area a block away are awesome! The Bad: Milolii Rd!!!! Oh my goodness be careful on this road, especially at night!! After my 10th time up and down it I finally started to get a little comfortable with it as I got used to it but it is a challenge no matter what. Go slow and anticipate other cars coming the other direction. Milolii is a pretty remote location so be prepared to drive a bit to get to most of the Islands more popular attractions. We put over 800 miles on our minivan in 5 days. Overall this house is a tremendous value, comfortable, spacious and modern and we would recommend it! The caretaker (Lynn) is soooooo nice and helpful also, trust her advice as she's knows the Island quite well! Do NOT miss the Luau at the Royal Kona Hawaiian..........I've been to several and this was hands down the BEST!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We, two adults and our two kids, ages 5 and 9, spent a week at the Aloha Beach House mid-April 2011. The house is light and airy with a great lanai and ocean views. The house was spotless upon arrival. The bedrooms are nice and the beds comfortable. There is a downstairs bedroom (accessible from the outside) that would be great for a teenager. The downstairs also has a game room that was good entertainment. The house comes with a single and double kayak (launch them from Milolii) and life preservers for children and adults as well as masks and fins. The fishing village of Milolli is about a mile away, and our kids had a great time playing with the local kids (Easter Egg hunting). The beach that is a 15 minute hike past Milolii village was scoured by the Japan tsunami, so it does not look like quite like the pictures. It is a nice quiet beach to hang out, with fairly sheltered water for our kids to play in. The only reason not to give 5-stars is that the area where the house is located is rather barren without much vegetation. This gives you great unobstructed views of the sunset from the lanai but there is a lot of lava around. The sunset views are almost better from the local swimming spot about a five minute walk from the house (or a much, by the kids, appreciated 2 minute drive in the golf cart). I would not recommend this swimming spot for those who are not able to swim as there is no place to wade. There are fish there, so snorkeling is an option. Lynn, the manager, lives a block away and is very friendly and helpful. She arranged for life preserves for the kids as well as snorkeling gear and slew of helpful information. Milolii is off the beaten track and it was really nice to be away from the tourists which seem to arrive by the boatload (literally) in Kona every day. The nearest supermarket and a really good, inexpensive pizza parlor is about a 10-15 minute drive south in Oceanside. You are fairly close to The Place of Refuge (~ 1/2 hr), Black Sands Beach (< 1hr), Kona (1 hr), Volcano National Park (~ 1 1/2 hrs). Hilo (2+ hrs), Kohala (2+ hrs) and Mauna Kea (3 hrs) are longish day trip distances. Recommended and a great value.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Aloha Beach House is great. Overlooking the ocean in morning sun, watching the fishing boats, and Whales go by. This place is big, peaceful, and in a great location. We went to Volcano,Black sand beach, and the Mauna Loa nuts and candy, one way ( southeast) and to Kona for Fishing, farmer's market and Kua bay the other way (north west). Things to saw and did: Whales, Spinner Dolphins, horseback trip to Captain Cook, snorkeling and jumping waves. We would come back to the house in the evening for a great meal out on the deck and watch the sun go down over the sea. What a great to be for adventure and fun. The listing description regarding the location of the property was very accurate, and in spite of our very late arrival and darkness of the night, finding the house was not difficult. The front light was on, and Lynn, a caring manager of Richard’s place, left dimmed lights in the front rooms for us, also. The posted pictures are nice, but we liked the real thing better. The balcony, on tree sides of the house allowed us not only to see the sunrises and sunsets, but the beautiful colors of the water and passing boats without obstructions. The place is very clean and well taken care of. Lynn makes sure that you have everything you need, or gives you pointers and advise on how to get whatever else you would need. Aloha Beach House is spacious, nicely decorated, and comfortable. There is plenty of adventure gear available for renters use; we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all of it, though. The weather was beautiful and sunny every day. The Milolii Fishermen’s Village is a very unique, and the shoreline extremely picturesque. The house is a great starting point to go on daily trips in both directions on Rte 11 to Kona or Hillo. We really enjoyed our stay, and we would like to return to the house, some day, for much longer. We vacationed at the Aloha Beach House in November of 2009, my wife, myself and a friend. The house was great, allowing privacy as needed and the deck and Kitchen were perfect for barbecue's and cooking. We are divers and we discovered great shore diving in Papa bay a few 100yards from the house. Getting Kayaks in the water there is a bit tricky but just a few minutes drive to the fishing village of Milolii allowed for easy kayaking entry and exits as well as the trailhead for the 20 minute walk to Honomalino Bay, a must see! The nights are quiet and dark, I fell asleep on the deck most nights watching constellations turning around the North star. I'll be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
