This apartment is located in the famous rue Saint-Honoré. You will have a Parisian home located at less than five minutes walking from the Louvre Museum. The Louvre Museum offers one of the most important collection of art in the world. Many other interesting spots are just around: the Quays of the Seine, the Museum of modern Art "Centre Pompidou" and its massive architecture, Le Pont des Arts (elegant Bridge of Arts) which will let you go directly to Saint-Germain or Odeon districts, the Opera Garnier is not far, as well as the Church Notre-Dame and the Saint-Michel district.

The street Saint-Honoré will allow you to walk to La Place Vendome, well known for its luxury jewelers, but also to Le Palais Royal and its romantic gardens, you will also easily reach La Place de la Madeleine and its church. On the way, you will find many beautiful shops such as French Chocolate specialists, or Gourmet food traitors but also so many interesting avant-garde French and international fashion shops. Of course you will have to choose which restaurant to go as there will be so many around you in this district, and so many of them are really exciting. La Rue Saint-Honoré is so rich because it is one of the most ancient street in Paris, it was already there in the middle age of the city.

You will simply live in the area of Paris where there is the most important number of things to do, to see, to visit, and to taste. The location is really exceptional. The apartment is prepared to welcome comfortably two persons. It offers a bedroom with a large bed. The living room has comfortable sofa and chairs, a CD player, Cable-TV with international channels, a mobile phone is also provided (communications are at your charge). A laptop computer is provided and high speed internet is available. The kitchenette is in an old wooden cupboard including everything you need to cook some French "bons petits plats", you have a coffee machine, a microwave oven, electric burners, a refrigerator. The bathroom is really beautiful, it has a bath with shower, a hair dryer is also provided. Many books and CD in the apartment will make your stay more interesting. An iron and an ironing board are also provided.

The apartment is on the second floor with elevator, the building is a typical Parisian building with visible wood on walls and ceiling which make this apartment really charming and romantic. The place and the district (actually the first district of Paris) are really calm and secure. The nearest metro station is Louvre-Rivoli with line 1, which will take you directly to Le Chateau de Vincennes, to Les Champs Elysées, to Bastille, to le Marais district, to La Défense and its incredible pieces of architecture.

    We enjoyed our stay in this charming neighborhood. The apartment is so comfortable and quiet that we found ourselves often sleeping later than we intended. We saw many great things, but one week is not enough. We will be back. Thank you Davy, it was a wonderful first visit to Paris!

    The apartment is perfect - within walking distance to everything - cozy and secure. During our down time we enjoyed the new flat screen TV and high speed internet. Communication was simple, thank's to Davy's fluency in English. It was a wonderful week.

    Must we leave??? We had a wonderful time in Paris, and this apartment was superb - well appointed, immacutely maintained, and near everything. We loved walking in the rue Montorgueuil area to put together our dinners - fresh bread, cheese, seafood - yum ! (My fqvorite part was our dinner cruise on the Seine... he asked, I said OUI ! What a romantic proposal.) We will be back, and will recommend Davy & Morgane's charming home to all.

  • Our stay in Paris was wonderful and I loved every minute of it. The apartment was FABULOUS and the owner (Davy R.) was very helpful and accommodating. His wife (we did not meet) has wonderful taste in decorating. Davy mentioned that the building was over 300 years old or more. The exposed OLD beams of the ceiling to the apartment gave the place a wonderful rustic feel. It was perfect for the two of us. Our location was one of the oldest districts of Paris. As for getting around Paris, we walked everywhere and the train system was very convenient and easy to use when we wanted to cover more ground quickly. Did not get the chance to use the bus system, but we heard it was even cheaper to utilize. The grocery, bakery, pastry, cafe's, bars, restaurants, EVERYTHING were steps or blocks from our 'flat or apartment'. Wanted to mention that the closest grocery store is right out the front door and the owner/sales person was VERY honest, helpful and TRULY a treasure! The Louvre was 2 blocks away! We walked to the many famous sites; Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower (walked up the stairs), L'Arc de Triomphe, Concorde, of course the Lourve and many COOL streets and neighborhoods of Paris. Caught the metro/RER to Versaille and it was FANTASTIC! Also - it was very easy to caught the metro/RER from the airport to the apartment and back. You do not need to use the TAXI's! All-in-all, we both TRULY enjoyed our stay in the apartment and Paris. When we get the chance again, we will be back. Darlene & Bryan Schmidt Edina/Minneapolis, Minnesota

  • We stayed two weeks in February of 2005. The apartment was wonderful and had everything required for a pleasant stay. All the basics were close at hand. It is very close to metro/RER lines at Les Halles, which couldn't be more convenient for seeing the city. The hosts left a very helpful book with information. For a bit more involved food shopping, it's a quick walk across the park to the rue Montorgueil and its collection of bakeries, pastry shops, traiteurs (caterers), and an excellent marchand du vin. I had a lot of work to do the first three days we were there and my husband amused himself at the Louvre, which was just a walk away, not far at all. The apartment configuration was quite convenient. We hosted a dinner party for six (the two of us plus four friends) and were able to manage in the space and with the available preparation area (two burners, small refrigerator, sink). The last time I visited Paris, I stayed with a friend who had visited us often in the apartment. We walked by the front door on our way to visit a restaurant that Davy and Morgane had recommended to us. We both put our hands against the door, just to feel we were there again. I cannot wait to return. I truly felt it was our home and my husband refers to the neighborhood the same way. Very clean, very nice hosts, perfect location, helpful guidebook, feeling you were living in the neighborhood, what more could you ask?

  • This is indeed a little jewel. The owners are exceptionally accommodating. The apt is darling and has all you need for great visit. Everything was spotless and of good quality.Perfect location with food/booze/metro at hand. Great bargain with a cell phone to use. We were 2 women and chose to each have our own bed so used the hide-a-bed. Kitchen in an armoire is a hoot and very efficient. Will return for sure! Susan

    J'ai beaucoup aimé votre appartement. TRES TRES propre, acceuillant, chaleureux, bien décoré et chaud. Vous avez tout préparé de façon à ce que l'on si sente bien , comme à la maison, je dois dire que c'était mon cas, j'ai beaucoup AIME. J'ai adoré aussi le quartier que je ne connaissais pas du tout, Je vous remercie aussi pour votre acceuil chaleureux,votre gentillesse, pour le vin ,les boissons, les chocolats enfin pour tout. Je vous félicite car vraimant il y a tout pour passer un séjour agréable.   • I stayed in the Louvre-Rivoli appartement for three months.......it was a very nice flat in a wonderful place to discover Paris! I enjoyed it very much!
