Gracious, personable, professional hosts. The home is tranquil, serene, and full of the character of old New Orleans. Very clean, convenient and cozy. I feel fortunate to have stayed here and booked it again for my next trip to New Orleans the moment I arrived this time. New Orleans is one of the greatest, most interesting cities in America and this home made the experience all the more joyful! All the amenities one could need are here. The hosts have thought of everything and keep it spotlessly clean and fresh! The unit overlooks a charming courtyard and whole complex is so well kept. Wonderful location to get to all the great music and everything else that is New Orleans.
Owner response:Thank you for the lovely review of my condo, the area and my home town. And thank you for taking notice to the cleanliness and neatness of the accommodations. I try very hard to maintain it the way I would want to walk into a vacation home. New Orleans awaits your return with open arms.

We loved this condo. The condo is comfortable and clean and felt like home away from home. It also has a distictly New Orleans feel to it. Good job on the decor, Linda. Two blocks from Irene's (our favorite restaurant) you can't beat the location! We enjoyed touring the Beauregard Keyes home next door, where I purchased the book Dinner at Antoin's. I also loved the food at the little market around the block. The cafe around the corner. Linda had great suggestions provided in the condo. We enjoyed so many things, but didn't cover it all and can't wait to come back. Even if it is to just relax in this condo :) Thank you Linda!
Owner response:Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the condo and my home town. Come again soon.

What a perfect stay in New Orleans and what a fabulous home base! My two sisters and our cousin (50's and 60's) spent 7 days, 6 nights in this lovely and well maintained French Quarter condo. Linda is wonderful, quick to answer questions, a great help with ideas on where to go, and lots of great tips. Located in a lovely and quiet part of the Quarter but an easy, safe walk to the activity of the Quarter or to Frenchman Street. After a wonderful nights sleep in comfy beds, having some coffee and a quick breakfast we'd be off exploring; Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World, Katrina Museum, St Louis Cathedral, on a tour to see the Oak Alley and Laura Plantations, shopping at the French Market and on Royal Street, and spending a full afternoon at the fabulous WWII Museum. And then there's the food; The Palm Court Jazz Cafe, Snug Harbor, Port of Call, Mona Lisa, The Old Coffeepot, Emeri's NOLA Restaurant, and just fabulous music at Preservation Hall (spring for the VIP tickets!!), the Funky Pirate on Bourbon Street and The Spotted Cat on Frenchman Street. A trip to New Orleans would not be complete without Cafe du Monde and beignets and sharing a muffuletta at the Central Grocery, amazing!! It was pretty cold when we were there so the city tour, carriage ride and river boat cruise were necessary but followed up by some hot coffee and cocoa. We can certainly confirm the heating works very well! Linda has thought of everything and the condo is very well equipped, extremely clean, and so very comfortable. We were really sad to see our trip end. We wish we could have met Linda and her husband, sorry we missed them when they were in town! We'd love to come back!!! Thanks so very much for your hospitality! Becky, sisters and cousin~
Owner response:What a nice write-up! So glad you enjoyed the city in spite of some of the bad press releases. You are right...N.O. is a great city to visit and the food is wonderful. But it pleases me that you found the condo comfortable and met your expectations. I try to keep the condo the way I would expect. I hope you ladies do come back; New Orleans will greet you with open arms. Thank you!

My boyfriend and I had a terrific stay in the french quarter in November 2011. The best thing about the property is its location on a quiet street near the action but nice and quiet throughout the night. The property itself was in great condition and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom water pressure was fabulous. We also sat outside and enjoyed the patio area as well. Linda called the first night to make sure that we had arrived safely, which was appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked. Linda also provided a great deal of information about the city, including self walking guides. We spent some time out of the city on a swamp tour. We also enjoyed the NO cooking school. The best meal we had was at Commander's Palace, about 20 minutes away. One note, there is no designated parking. For two nights we parked in the french market lot, which is $20/night. Our last night, we were able to find street parking close by. I would advise others to avoid getting a car since there is so much to do in the french quarter and surrounding areas without needing a vehicle. Thanks for a great stay! We can't wait to get back to enjoy the beauty of New Orleans.
Owner response:Nice people. They are about the 3rd or 4th guest to recommend the cooking school. And, of course, I agree about Commander's Palace. I just recommend lunch or brunch opposed to dinner--much more reasonable with the same faire and service. Thank you so much.

This was our third visit to New Orleans and we were there to celebrate my birthday/Halloween with 4 other friends and stayed in Linda's condo with another couple. Everything was perfect! We spent an afternoon by the pool in the lovely courtyard, had everything we needed in the kitchen/living room area, and the bedrooms were beautiful and so comfortable! Linda called the evening we checked in to make sure everything went smoothly and was always very responsive and wonderful to work with in every way. The location of the condo is great - we really enjoyed the quick walk to Decatur and the French Market (first Muffaletta there, amazing!), as well as the riverfront. Margaritaville was actually one of our regular spots to stop by since they have free live jazz and happy hour from 5-11 every day with great deals on hurricanes, mojitos, beers... and of course Bourbon is also a quick walk as well. We didn't spend too much time on Frenchmen's Street but this was even closer than the central part of Bourbon so would be very convenient to that as well. And Halloween in New Orleans is an absolute must for anyone! My 29th Birthday ended up falling on Saturday the 29th when everyone was out for Halloween and I could not have asked for a more fun place to spend it!
Owner response:Thank you for the nice write-up and the respect you demonstrated for our building and condo. What a geat way to celebrate your 29th! You'll have those memories for years to come. And I'm pleased you enjoyed New Orleans. Come again soon. Thank you so much, Linda

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful condo. The renovations are lovely. Much love and care is taken with this Condo. We have booked for next year already. New Orleans is just getting better and better everytime we come. The food the architecture is wonderful and the people are always very welcoming. There were two weddings while we were there at St. Mary's across the street. watching these were a lot of fun to watch. Such great customs here. Linda of course as usual is so kind and thoughtful. We talk with her frequently and she is always in the know about what's going on in and around her beautiful city, and it is greatly appreciated. It will be torture waiting until next year to come back to New Orleans and this charming condo on Chartres.
Owner response:Thank you so much for the wonderful comments and thank you for noticing the upgrades. You're already down on my calendar for next year. See ya then!! :) Linda

I returned for my second visit to this property and NOLA, bringing my family along this time. The condo remains a beautiful, convenient, well-maintained hideaway in the French Quarter. Even in the early summer heat, we were able to enjoy NOLA by going out early to enjoy the cemetery tour, shopping, etc, then returning after lunch for a dip in the gorgeous pool and a nap before venturing out for the evening. The condo is just as lovely as I remember, with a beautiful remodel of the bathroom to boot. My family was quite taken with the whole property. Since it was their first visit to NOLA, we made sure to hit all the must-do's: St Louis Cemetery, Cafe du Monde, eating great Cajun food, enjoying the street art and music, riding the trolley. The condo was perfectly located to be able to do all of those things without a car. It is so quiet there that my family couldn't believe we were right in the middle of the French Quarter. The residents of the complex were also very friendly and helpful during our stay, and asked us frequently if we were enjoying ourselves. The property manager was out every single morning making sure the pool and courtyard were sparkling. Two things I found on this trip that I highly recommend: bicycle touring with Confederacy of Cruisers and Three Muses. The bicycle tour with Cofederacy of Cruisers was worth every penny for the 3-hr tour through Faubourg-Marigny, the Bywater, and Treme, and we saw parts of NOLA we would have missed otherwise. Three Muses was a great place to take my older teens to listen to live jazz at night. I wouldn't recommend it for young children, but if you have high-school and college age kids, it's nice to be able to take them to a cool live music venue other than Preservation Hall that is not 21-and-over. Another lovely stay in the French Quarter. Thanks, Linda!
Owner response:Wow! What a nice review. I loved the information about the bicycle touring and the Three Muses...good information. A previous guest also emphasized the convenience of the trolley behind the French Market for transport to the Convention Center. It pleases me that your family enjoyed New orleans and the comforts of my condo. I hope you'll return soon. Many thank you's, Linda

It is quiet and great access to the french Quarter. The pool area is lovely. I would highly reccommend this condo. Linda always goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and is always available if you have any questions. You will not be disappointed.

I just returned from my fourth trip to New Orleans and this is my second stay at the condo. This time, I brought along another couple who are first times to NOLA. They said it felt like being home. The little balcony is a perfect place to read. The beds are comfortable and the place is absolutely spotless. The bathroom was completely renovated and the place has been freshly painted with new crown molding. There is a fully equipped little kitchen. Not that you'd want to cook with all of the great restaurants New Orleans has to offer. Linda, the owner, thinks of everything...even providing umbrellas in case of an unexpected downpour, and provides lots of info in the condo itself. She is an invaluable resource for tips, restaurant suggestions, etc. The condo is in the perfect location - just around the corner from the French Market - and is in the quiet, residential part of the French Quarter. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and can't wait to plan my fifth trip.
Owner response:Wow! What a nice write-up! Thank you so much. I hope you will return, friends and all. Linda

Three of us spent a few days in early December in this delightful condo and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is beautifully kept apartment, in a well-maintained and groomed building, in a great location near the French Market and close to everything in the French Quarter. We were there during a crowded weekend, and parking was not as easy as it could have been, but we ended parking in the lot behind the French Market and left the car there for three days ($20/day - cheap for the quarter). It was more convenient to walk or use the street car anyway. Most importantly, the owner is very accommodating and helpful, responds promptly to queries and is full of suggestions. You just can't go wrong choosing this apartment.

We stayed here in November and it could not have been a better find. We will definitely stay again! Easy walk to Bourbon St., French Market and the riverfront. VERY quiet. There was a wedding taking place in the historic building next door but could not hear a peep from inside the unit. Linda is so friendly and wants nothing more than for you to enjoy yourself. The unit was very, very clean, beds were comfortable and everything was an easy walk. Will ABSOLUTELY stay here again.
Owner response:Thank you so much for the nice write-up. In addition to all the nice things you said, we recently renovated the bathroom, added new interior doors and quite a bit of crown molding. And put two new single beds in the secondary bedroom. New Orleans awaits your return. Please come back again soon. Linda

My husband and I stayed at the apt. in September. It was eveything as promised. Perfect location, comfortable bed, wonderful courtyard. Pack light, as you can take advantage of the laundry facility on site. We enjoyed meeting some of the other residents in the apt. building and had fun with pool-side drinks and guitar playing one evening. Although we didn't get to personally meet the owner, Linda, she is a gem. Ready to help in any way. Do not hesitate to stay here. Please visit New Orleans - the city and her people are enchanting! If you want to get out of the city one day, can highly recommend Dr. Wagner's Honey Island Swamp Tour. They have a shuttle that can pick you up at the apartment. So interesting to learn about swamp eco-system, and yes, you will see alligators.

Back for our second time to this charming condo in the French Quarter. Perfect location, immaculate and the best ambiance one could hope for. We have already booked for 2011. Linda is so helpful in every way. She has put in a brand new Queen Temperpedic mattress that is heavenly to sleep on. Don't let the oil stop you from visiting New Orleans. She needs our support now more than ever. Thanks again Linda for a perfect vacation. Lynette

My girlfriends and I went to your lovely condo at the end of February this year. While the weather was cool and a bit unexpected our hearts were warmed to the cockles by the Southern cham and hospitality shared by not only you but by all people we encountered, from the cabdrivers to the staff in the many shops and restaurants we frequented. I cannot remember a more peaceful and enjoyable retreat for the mind body and soul. Thank-you for sharing not only your home but your wonderful hints and suggestions. I am seriously thinking of taking my main squeeze there to celebrate his 65th birthday this September.

My cousin and I spent a fantastic long weekend here in October 2009. The condo was clean, comfortable, cozy, nicely decorated, well appointed and quiet--with plenty of charm and local color. And the location can’t be beat. We walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed (and then some) to prepare breakfast and snacks and reheat leftovers. I have been to New Orleans more than a dozen times, stayed in half-a-dozen places (hotels, apts., and B&Bs)--and I liked this best. Can't wait to return. Linda knows how to make guests feel comfortable and well cared for.

We had the most wonderful time in New Orleans, and at this property. The location is perfectly between, and yet away from all of the partying. The few things that we forgot to pack were there waiting for us, and having coffee before we left the house sure helped (the wee hours of the morning come so early down there)! It was very special to us to stay someplace with such a history, and so beautiful. I can't even tell you how much we loved everything. And your neighbors were all so nice. They were happy to help answer any questions . Not that we had many, because Linda worked hard to answer them before we got there. Her restaurant suggestions were right on, make sure you listen This is definitely our first choice when we do come back to town.

I stayed here for my first visit to New Orleans in July 2009, and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The condo was fantastic, and if I were looking to buy in that area I would definitely be making an offer! The location is perfect for visiting the French Quarter; it is only a couple of blocks to either Decatur or Bourbon streets, but it is so quiet when you enter the courtyard. We appreciated the hospitality shown to us by both the owner and the building manager.

Feel at home in the French Quarter! We stayed in the Monroe’s apartment on Chartres for parts of July and August of this year (2009) and had a wonderful time. This was our first experience using VRBO, so we decided on New Orleans since we had once lived in the area and knew the city well. That made it easier to narrow down our search to a particular part of the city (The French Quarter) and even pick a particular section where we wanted to stay (Esplanade side near Chartres and Royal streets). The Monroe’s condo was exactly what we were looking for--a two bedroom with a full kitchen--and in exactly the right spot. Since we were planning an extended stay (4 weeks), I emailed Linda to get a quote for the dates we wanted and she responded very quickly and immediately made us feel better about the whole experience as she is a very nice person who is obviously concerned that her guests have the best experience possible. Our arrival and move into the condo was flawless. We loved the location, the building, the dark blue swimming pool in the courtyard, the other residents (especially Wayne downstairs who directed us to the best places to eat and drink), and the quiet private back balcony. The full-sized refrigerator and stove were real bonuses as we were not planning on eating out for 30 days. Everything about the place met or exceeded our expectations and we really felt at home in the French Quarter after just a few days of settling in. We prefer the Frenchman, Decatur, Chartres, Royal area with the more “local” restaurants and Jazz clubs to the Bourbon Street crowd, so this was absolutely perfect for us; but, Bourbon street is just a few blocks up and the “hot” area is just a few more blocks down towards Canal, so the condo really is centrally located for the whole French Quarter without being in tourist central. We had such a wonderful time that we are already planning our stay for next year!
Owner response:Nice people! I hope they do return.

What a magnificent property and what a lovely owner! I had never been to New Orleans, although my husband visited several years ago. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I absolutely fell in love with this city and Linda's beautiful condo. (In fact, my husband wanted to check into buying an adjacent condo that appeared to be vacant.) We have stayed in several VRBO properties over the past couple of years. NEVER has an owner called to check in with us to ensure we arrived safely, were comfortable, found parking, etc. Linda truly makes you feel like a guest (friend, really) who is visiting her home. We arrived very late at night and received a phone call from Linda just before 11 p.m. saying, "y'all must have just arrived." She must have called more than once, as we were expecting to arrive around 10 p.m. This property is not only clean, comfortable, charming and quiet, but it's also in an ideal location - surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and very close to all the attractions of the Quarter. Take Linda's recommendations - eat at Irene's and Port of Call. Both are fabuous. We thoroughly enjoyed the city, the condo and Linda's hospitality. Unfortunately, the secret is out and this place is understandably popular. Oh well, we'll just have to ensure we plan FAR in advance the next time we come to New Orleans. There WILL be a next time and you can be sure this is the only place we want to stay. Thanks, Linda!!
Owner response:I love these 'attaboys' but I do try hard to match the glowing hospitality of my home town. Afterall, this is your vacation. As for N.O., she greets all with open arms. Thank you for coming.

Location, location, location. I am very familiar with the French Quarter (I have a tenant-occupied property there) and this is one of the best locations in the entire Quarter. Right across from the Ursulines Convent, and just adjacent to the beautiful Beauregard-Keyes house, which most tourists overlook, this place is convenenient to the very heart of the Quarter and, if you must go there, Bourbon Street which is only two beautiful blocks away. I would never stay in a hotel after staying at Linda's place. It is at the very back of a beautiful property the exterior of which is painted that unique French Quarter red, which inflames the passions the moment you walk through the beautiful gate. The grounds are exquisite and beautifully maintained. You walk up the stairs and back to your private apartment with two bedrooms, and an adorable kitchen of recent vintage. Linda has provided everything you can think of right down to the cheese grater in the kitchen drawer, and some wonderful books if you are feeling contemplative while looking out from your private balcony to the trees at eye level and the garden below. The pool is very nice, with pool toys and all. Both times I went in the water was nice and I was completely and utterly alone. The complex is quite quiet -- unusual for any French Quarter accomodation. And that is what I loved about it most. You are in a well traveled, but quiet area of the Quarter. I very much enjoyed walking into through the gate, quietly closing it behind me and watching as the people in the carriage going by looked at me and wondered who was that lucky gentleman entering that beautiful building. Lastly, Linda makes you feel like a true guest in her home. She checks on her guests to make sure they are comfortable and have arrived safely, lets them know she is available if the need arises or if they have a question, and otherwise leaves the guest to enjoy a fantasy of a few days or a week. Like others, I am loathe to recommend this place for my own selfish reason, but in all honesty, I must. It is a very nice, clean, quiet, well-maintained place with virtually all amenities in a superb location. Great restaurants within steps, interesting lesser-traveled historical buildings next door, great cafes very nearby (Croissant d'Or, Cafe Envie, CC's Coffehouse, and, of course, Cafe du Monde), and a quick hop to the French Market where you can quickly find curios for the folks back home. There. The secret's out: This place is great.
Owner response:Wow! What a great write-up. Thank you! I kind of like the condo myself.

We were in New Orleans weekend of Jan 9th. It was a girls weekend get away for birthdays. We spent our 3 nights at Linda’s beautiful Condo. We truly enjoyed ourselves, the condo is wonderful, Linda has many extras there for your comfort. She even picked up flowers and champagne for me which we pre-arranged, so that it was waiting when we arrived since we arrived at about 10 pm. She called to make sure we got in and everything was fine. I will echo what others say that the Condo is close to everything, but far enough away for peace and quiet. We all slept wonderfully. We walked to everything in the French Quarter felt perfectly safe and did not have one problem. It was wonderful to have so much be right within walking distance. We would return her again. Thanks Linda Here are some of the things we didWe took the street car out to the Garden District had lunch at Commander's Palace (a great lunch), rode the street car out and back to see the great houses. Takes about 1.5 hours to ride the street car up and back. We did this before our 1:30 reservation. We would recommend the Coffee Pot at 714 Saint Peter Street - we had dinner there after drinks at O’Brians. The place was empty and the food great. We actually ordered 3 different meals and each of us had part of one. Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice and Shrimp Por Boy. This is a place I would recommend. The prices were great. The service was also great, but there were very few people in the restaurant. We ate at Irene’s our last night. Travel book said they did not take reservations, but they do – I would make them. It was packed and you can not get appetizers as you wait, only drinks. However, the food was great and worth it. We also did custom blending of a perfume at Bourbon French Perfume, 805 Royal St. We had a wonderful time and you can get your custom scent and another scent. You can get these in perfume or in spray. This was a great two hours of girl time. The person working with us was very nice and did not rush us and even let us run out to watch a Zula parade that was going by. I would recommend this as a fun event. Costs about $85.00 but I got 2 sprays 4 oz each for that, plus the time she took blending 5 different fragrances until we found one I liked.

I have been waiting a long time to write this comment. We spent our 25Th anniversary and 9 glorious days at his beautiful Condo. It was perfect, and felt like home. Decorated tastefully and immaculately clean. Every amenity possible was provided, and then some. The Condo is close to everything, but far enough away for peace and quiet. The French Quarter is just as wonderful and safe as I have always found it to be on our previous trips. We will never stay anywhere other than Linda and Jim's Condo in the future. Linda and Jim are the nicest people we have met in a long time. They take great pride in the care and up keep of this property. We will return next October to again enjoy New Orleans plus Linda and Jim. Thanks so much for everything. Bless you both. Wish we could have spent more time with you two. And I hope all remains well in the future with you both. Thanks for being the best, Lynette and Charlotte

This apartment more than met our expectations. It is located very close to the French Market, Jackson Square and all the fun spots of the French Quarter. The entryway and pool courtyard are very nice, including the neighbors! We were sad to leave. BTW, we saw Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, they live a block away! Food, OMG bring an extra stomach. Linda is so nice and great to deal with. You can't go wrong with this choice, we will be back.
Owner response:I spoke with Max and it pleases me that they were enjoying themselves so much. Nice folks. I hope they do return.

We travel to N.O. at least once or twice a year and always stay in the Quarter. Since we were staying for an extended period this summer we wanted to stay somewhere we could do our own cooking. We chose to stay in Linda's condo and it was terrific. It's perfect for 2 but would be great for 4. It has all the amenities that you need and is in an excellent location, close to the market, Frenchman St., Irene's, Bourbon, many historical sites and the waterfront trolley. Linda also provides a parking pass that is essential in the Quarter. Linda and Jim took time off from fixing their own house that was hit by lightning to come over and bring a new microwave when the one in the condo broke. I thought that was more than excellent service and we greatly appreciated it. We will certainly stay again and I would recommend this condo to anyone.
Owner response:We had the opportunity to meet this lovely couple and do hope they return to visit our wonderful city again. Many thank you's to them.

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I stayed here just as hurricane Gustav was preparing to hit New Orleans. Despite our apprehension about the storm it was a great vacation. We had never used VRBO before and were not sure what to expect. The personal attention given to us by Linda was extraordinary! Our questions were answered quickly and with much attentiveness. We had visited NO before and were somewhat familar with the area but were absolutely thrilled with the location. Adjacent to the Beauregard-Keyes House and across from the Ursuline Convent make this condo very safe and private! We were within walking distance to everything. The courtyard and pool were private and serene. The condo was cozy and comfortable. I cannot stress enough the friendly and caring service given to us by Linda. We were disappointed that we had to evacuate a day early. We would love to have extended our stay. If you are looking for safety, privacy, convenience and someone who cares about you - this is it!
Owner response:I wish I had had the opportunity to meet these guests in person----seemed like great folks. Thank you for the nice write-up and come back soon. Linda Munroe

We actually were not able to stay at Linda's place but I cannot say enough about how courteous and helpful she was while we were inquiring. Even without renting the condo she provided us with so much information and tips about New Orleans and was the most responsive person I have ever dealt with in a private rental. I am looking forward to our next opportunity to visit the city and deal with her again. You don't come across people like this every day and it is wonderful when you have the chance to actually do business with them.
Owner response:What a nice thing to say! Thank you!

We had the pleasure of staying at Linda's wonderful condo for a few days this past May. We could not have been more pleased with the location, surroundings and intimate feel of this beautiful building. We have stayed at other VRBO rentals around the U.S. but this just might be the best one yet. Linda is wonderful - obviously, she knows how to do it right. The unit had everything we needed and more. We were especially impressed with the wonderful pool and courtyard area. We are "waterbabies" and love to swim so we tend to be pretty particular about pools. We are also all about privacy and quiet so it was a real treat to have the pool area all to ourselves. Our only regret was that it rained nearly all day (a bit unusual for May) and we couldn't spend more time lounging around the pool. Nevertheless, the condo was so comfy and cozy that we were perfectly content to hang-out on the totally private back balcony and watch the rain while sipping wine. We took Linda's advice and had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Irene's - just a mere 2 blocks away. All and all, it was an ideal place for us to stay and Linda is great! My partner grew-up along the Mississippi Gulf Coast (her family is still there)and we definitely would like to return for a longer stay and we'll recommend Linda's condo to friends and family. A closing note: Despite what people may be reading or hearing about safety and crime issues in the French Quarter, we felt completely safe and secure the entire time we were there (even walking back to the condo along Chartres Street after midnight). As longtime visitors to the Quarter, we were really pleased to see things up and running, lively and vivacious. The magic is still there. So if you visit, relax, enjoy it and don't forget...tip BIG! It's the people who live and work here that make this place so special. Thanks Again Linda! Perry & Lynne Oakland, California
Owner response:What a beautiful write-up on my condo and my wonderful hometown. Thank you so much.

We spent 6 days in Linda’s condo and loved it. The condo is perfectly located, in a quiet area close to everything you might would want to see while visiting New Orleans. We walked everywhere and were surprised at how safe we always felt. After a day spent exploring the city, we would come back to the condo and sit by the pool with a glass of wine. You couldn’t ask for a more relaxing setting!Linda greeted us on our first day there and mentioned the upcoming garden and courtyard tours. We spent two afternoons exploring areas that would otherwise have been unaccessible to us and really enjoyed it. If you get a chance to go on some of these tours, do not pass it up as the beautiful facades of the buildings on the street hide even nicer courtyards/gardens.Our week at Linda’s was followed by a few days at a local hotel. Although it was very nice, we missed the homey feeling of Linda’s condo. We recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans. Thank you Linda!
Owner response:How very gracious of you to submit this comment. It was a pleasure to meet this charming couple. I hope they will return to New Orleans again soon.

My wife and I and another couple went on a cruise out of New Orleans the middle of February. We spent several days before the cruise in Linda's condo. I think we had about as much fun in New Orleans as we had on the cruise! Linda's condo was the perfect location, and Linda was so great to work with and went out of her way to make sure we were happy. We could easily walk everywhere, which we did! All her recommendations regarding restaurants, clubs & sights were absolutely perfect. The condo was immaculate and had everything we needed and more! We can't wait to get back, as it was just like home. If you want clean, GREAT location and attention to details, this is your place! We are already talking about another trip there! Tom & Jan Altman

The owner of this property, Linda, is a gem. It is rare to find genuine, honest and trusting people as Linda these days. She is real as they come. This Historical condo is located on a quiet street in the French Quarters. The bed in the master room was comfortable. The kitchen is updated and fully equipped. The coffee provided was from Cafe Du Monde. We actually stayed in two days and watched movies on the flat screen. The location is by far the best as it is in walking distance to Farmer's Market, Bourbon St, we even walked to Harrah's twice. I highly recommend staying at this condo and plan to when we return.
Owner response:What a nice thing to say! Thank you!

I've been renting condos et al in the French Quarter for the past 25 years. Linda's place is by far the best! The condo is very clean, quiet, and utterly charming. We stayed Christmas week 2007. I can't think of another place I'd rather be. Took me til the end of January to get over missing the place. A small place but perfect for two couples. Wonderful TV. Beds are great. Plenty of towels, soap, detergent, whatever you need! Linda thinks of everything! Can't wait to return to my home away from home.

Location, location, location. This condo is in an ideal location in the French Quarter. Two streets it seems from all the popular locations. Yet it is in a quiet more residential area. Brad and Angeline live a stones throw away. Across the street in the Urseline Convent, next door the Beauregard/Keyes home. Walk up two streets to Bourbon and you can't believe it is so quiet but walk a couple of blocks and the fun starts. My wife and I stayed here for the month of January. Today is our last day and our biggest mistake was not staying longer. We were here during the big bowl football games when you could not even walk down Bourbon it was so packed but as noisy as Bourbon is, the quiet of Chartres Street is amazing. We never felt danger even on quiet nights walking back as their is a fair amount of automobile traffic and police presence in the Quarter. Now location is not everything. The apartment is a confortable two bedroom. Comfortable beds, large screen LCD TV, modern appliances and all the staples you will need for a week or a month. Even coffee was supplied. The best part about the condo is the owner. Linda was there when we arrived and was very helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do. Mardi Gras parades have started and it is geting very busy. She dropped off a King cake and shared with us her favourite spots to enjoy the parade. This paid off as it gets very crowded in some areas. She even keeps a list of visitor and her favourites in a book. She kept in touch by phone and email to make sure everything was OK during our stay. Thanks again Linda. We will surely pass on to friends and family about this find. New Orleans is back and it here to say. Laisser les bon temps rouler!
Owner response:Lovely couple. They were a pleasure to meet....total respect for my property and displayed a great admiration for my wonderful home town. Go to TripAdvisor for a wonderful report he submitted on their experiences in New Orleans...I learned a few things from it! Thank you, Ed and Carole.

Thank you Linda! The condo couldn't have been better for three women traveling, concerned about comfort, quiet and security. Your condo provided all and more. We were delighted the minute we walked in the door! The condo was ideal -the amenities provided were beyond our expectations. It is a perfect French Quarter location, close to restaurants, entertainment and shopping, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Your personal interest and attention to our comfort and satisfaction from the initial internet email and phone calls upon upon our arrival and departure were greatly appreciated - rare in this world of internet anonymity. Many thanks to you and your brother for all the local "tips" - we look forward to visiting your wonderful city again and will definitely check availability of your condo and recommend to friends. On a note...we planned this trip pre-Katrina - this city has HEART, and the kind hospitality of the residents and businesses that have survived was loud and clear - you are here to stay - the history and culture of this region cannot be forgotten, despite the horrifying catastrophe of Katrina. Please visit New Orleans and enjoy this city as we did!

Stayed 3 nights last weekend in October. Perfect quiet location close to Jackson Square. Incredible value, comfortable beds, great little kitchen and den, scenic balcony. Nice pool for warmer times. Linda made the process easy and I would highly recommend to couples, small families, or friends on a getaway. So much better than a hotel experience!

We LOVED staying here. Linda was so helpful with all of our planning. The condo was well-kept, the kitchen was newly upgraded, and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The living room was a cozy place to relax. The building felt very safe and secure as well. The location was great - close to everything but still quiet. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Linda!

Linda's place was a great spot to spend the week. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the pool is magnificent. It is in a quiet but convenient part of the French Quarter. She plans to make further upgrades to decor and appliances, so it should be QUITE wonderful when she's done! We already look forward to our next visit.

We stayed at this condo for a week with our young (21) daughter and her friend. The location was the perfect quiet retreat from the hustle & bustle of the quarter, yet is was so conveniently located. Linda called to welcome and check on us at the beginning and end of our visit. The condo was tastefully decorated and very clean with all of the amentities one could ask for.

My brother and his wife from the Seattle area, joined my wife and I in New Orleans to celebrate our anniversaries. We were nervous about renting from the Internet, but wanted something different than a generic hotel. We could not have made a better choice!!! From the first phone call to Linda, till the receipt of deposit refund, the entire experience was perfect. While I can't give Linda the credit for 6 days of beautiful weather, Linda and her condo get the rest of the credit. The unit was everything we'd hoped for and the location even better. In the mornings, my brother would take a short walk and return with hot coffee & beignets to get our day started. Our feet and the streetcars took us everywhere we wanted to go during the day. Then a quick dip in the pool and a cocktail or two while we relaxed and discussed where to go for dinner. Walked to dinner and then every night, we strolled Bourbon Street and watched as the crowds grew as it got closer to Saturday night. We'll be back to New Orleans and we'll schedule our trip around the availability of Linda's condo. In the mean time, she sends us occasional e-mails to keep us informed of what's happening there.
Owner response:Although I have never met the Gordon's, they were a pleasure to have as guests at our condo...they respected my property and, obviously, enjoyed their vacation to New Orleans. I hope they do return to our wonderful city.

This is a terrific rental for a variety of reasons. The owner, Linda, is sheer goodness. She is wonderful to work with, communicates quickly and fully, and is committed to making your stay thoroughly enjoyable. The condo itself is ideally located - quiet, clean and affordable. It is away from the louder, more touristy French Quarter locations. The condo is also very comfortable. Good beds, good kitchen facilities; in fact I don't think the picture does it justice. It was a lot of fun to stay in an authentic French Quarter building - with courtyard and balconies. I would recommend this rental completely and intend to stay there again myself.

STAYING HERE IS A MUST!!!! Mrs. Linda is a wonderful person and the condo is perfect for a short or long stay in the perfect city - New Orleans. I've stayed here twice (so far) and fully intend on staying at this condo every time I go. It's located in the best spot - only a few blocks from the French Quarter Market, St. Louis Cathedral and Bourbon Street. The room is clean, fully stocked and we always feel very safe while staying there. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place - you just have to check it out for yourself! My best friend and I hope to be back very soon! And thanks again and again Linda!!! Sincerely, Kim P. Atlanta, GA

I have stayed at Linda's condo several times...each time for a different New Orleans event. Carnival {Mardi Gras}, Southern Decadence, Jazz Fest, Birthdays just to mention a few. I must say that every vacation was a complete blast and success, mainly due to the perfect location and unique charm Linda's property provided. With Bourbon Street only two blocks away and hundreds of sites to tour within walking distance...I just can't put into words how this property made my trip's so very memorable each and every trip to the Vieux Carre. And at the rates she charges, anyone would be a fool not to rent this condo rather then pay the costly expenses one incurs when staying at a regular hotel. Being able to rent the condo right in the heart of the French Quarter makes you truly feel like a REAL New Orleans resident. You don't feel like yet another cheap tourist and parade down to the quarter year after year. It gives you a sense of belonging and allows for a much appreciated added respect and true feeling for the city. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that seeks a TRUE New Orleans experience. On a side note, I must report that this past carnival I had the condo reserved for a week, as I normally do. However, tragically, my father passed away shortly before I was planned to arrive. I had already paid for the condo in full. However, Linda showed an above and beyond call to duty, act of compassion. She completely refunded me thee entire payment and also offered to return my deposit. How many property owners do this now a day's? Not many I can tell you that for sure. In closure I would just like to say that I will continue to come back to Linda's condo, year after year, as long as she will have me. This is truly a MUST SEE property. Totally secure, Historically noted and beyond comprehension in the means of location. God Bless New Orleans, Joseph Garcia Dr.Andrew Peterson CAPT, USAF, MC Anna Marie De La Rie -{Holland} George Zarkovacki {Ohio} Dan Bender {North Carolina} Rob Forrest {Texas} Damien Reed {California} ....and all of the guest that I was able to host because of Linda and her condo.

This condo is ideal for 2 to 4 guests and offers complete privacy with interior doors dividing bedrooms and living areas. It is within the French Quarter, close to all attractions and activities but is a quiet escape from the noise on the streets. This was the private home of my brother for many years. It is well appointed, quiet and clean. The kitchen has been totally remodeled and new flooring has been added throughout. Plus we have great neighbors---Brad Pitt bought his mansion just around the corner! Whatever damage Katrina caused to our building has been repaired or replaced and it is prettier than ever. Our past guests include a family from the Netherlands, a couple from England, some ladies from Scotland. We've had business people, folks celebrating anniversaries, 2 couples from CA that come to the area to fish every year, family reunions and a couple even got engaged in our condo. Come stay as our guests; our condo will afford you a very memorable vacation.
