This is an amazing loft. My husband and I had a great time. Some of my favorite things about staying at this rental include the: -location -loft layout (it is very elegant) -pool and Jacuzzi (no one was there each of the times that we went up to the roof) -bottle of sparkling wine -robe and eye covers (a very special touch) -beach chairs (we are going to buy the same type at Costco this weekend) and towels -covered parking included -security features (key swipe for parking lot and building) -toiletries (I cannot remember the name of the brand) -equipped kitchen -binder with suggestions from previous renters (I forgot to update the binder; sorry) -washer and dryer / laundry soap -outing supplies supplies (coolers, bags, etc.) -views from the roof -basic food supplies in kitchen (what a great system: I left some of my favorite staples from Trader Joe's for others to try) -Showtime and other premiere channels (great for those rainy nights) -bedding/bedroom style Ultimately, I must say that my husband and I felt very relaxed and welcomed in your loft. Usually, when we stay in a hotel we stay out late just to avoid staring at the walls the remainder of the night. We had none of that feeling while staying at your loft. On the contrary, we were able to unwind, cook, watch, tv and have a nice glass of wine over dinner. My husband was able to make his daily smoothies and I was able to pack 1/2 frozen iced tea (that I steeped) in water bottles before we left to explore the city. Overall, we had a great experience.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The description of this property, and accompanying photos were exactly what we had seen and were expecting. To say the property was well-maintained is an understatement! It was in excellent condition. There is not one thing the owners forgot to think of - it has absolutely everything you could possibly want or need. We desperately wanted to weigh our luggage before leaving and once we packed the suitcase and took it off of the luggage rack, there was a luggage scale hanging right there! The location was wonderful - far enough away from the noise of South Beach, but with plenty of restaurants nearby and the beach across the street. We will definitely stay here again - it was a dream!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

From first contact with the owner, to being welcomed on arrival at the apartment the service has been first class. This loft apartment is in a great location , easy to find, a secure parking space, one block from the beach, quick drive down to South Beach and very close to supermarkets, restaurants etc. Being in the apartment was so much fun. It is immaculate in its presentation. The owner has equipped it superbly. We have rented over 30 properties in the past few years and this apartment is head and shoulders in lead as far as the detail to attention is concerned. Comfortable bed, great linens, ample plush towels, tea, coffee, free wifi, high quality shower gels, shampoo........the list is endless. Although on busy Collins it is quiet inside the apartment and particularly at night. The owner as been great to deal with and very fast in responding to any questions. The lady who cares for arrivals and departures, Ada, is a real treasure, very friendly, lovely lady. We wished we lived closer to the USA so we could visit again for long weekends & special occasions. We will certainly be recommending it to others.Did you find this review helpful? We had such an amazing time in the loft last December, it's just like the photo's. It was perfect, everything you need is there, from a big supermarket around the corner, the beach chairs you can take to the beautiful beach (just 5 min. walk), a great bed, kitchen with all the equipment you can possibly need, relaxed sofa.....and more more more...you just need to check it out your self! Special thanks to lovely Ada for everything. We had a honest mail contact with Christine, with I am thankful for, so we absolutely want to come back some day. Warm greetings from Holland. We stayed at the Vagabond villa for ten days and we absolutely LOVED it. The apartment in right on Collins Ave, and is only 5 mins walk from the lovely beach. The beach is more of a quieter family beach than the buzzy South Beach. The apartment is spotless and has everything you'll need for a great holiday - kitchen with all the essentail equipment including spices, sauces and tea and coffee, two balconies, amazingly big and comy bed, two bathrooms, washing machine, towels for beach pool and home, there's even a couple of beach chairs to make the beach visit more comfortable. The apartment block has a rooftop pool, which is never busy at all, and we'd recommend a glass of bubbly up there as the sun sets. It's more of a residential area , with some lovely local restaurants (we loved Normans and rey del chivito), there's a Walgreens and a 7eleven too. There's also 2 deco bike stalls nearby where you can rent a bike, a great way to get down to South Beach. If you are planning to visit Sobe, it's around $15 in a taxi and it's about a 15-20 min journey. We didn't meet Christine who owns the apartment, but she could not have been more helpful before and during our stay. Ada, who welcomes you is absolutely lovely too. . . We loved these apartments so much and we can't wait to go back. Kenny and Steve (37 & 40 London).Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this modern 2-story condo. The condo was absolutely clean and very well equipped. It's really spacious and bright. All listings and descriptions are absolutely correct. The parking lot in the building is very convenient. The location in the north of Miami Beach is just great. You reach the wonderful beach (which is less crowded than South Beach) in 3 minutes. Many restaurants including Mexican, Cuban, Peruan and of course American cuisine as well as a supermarket are in walking distance. We rented bikes and made a biking tour to South Beach / Ocean Drive which was a very nice and relaxing experience. Also, don't miss the sunrise at the beach - it's really worth getting up at least one day a bit earlier. The owner did provide excellent service and was very supportive and kind. I will recommend the loft to friends and relatives and will definetely come back when travelling to Miami.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

Picture this! A charming 2 level condo (master bedroom suite with bath upstairs, living area downstairs) in a quiet part of Miami Beach, across the street from a lovely beach and walkway, with enclosed parking for guests, a rooftop pool, and a short walk to many international restaurants, a wonderful bakery, and a great supermarket. Vagabond Villas is really special. The living space is bright and airy and beautifully decorated, there are balconies on both levels, and the kitchen has everything one could need. The condo is immaculately maintained. There is a book with valuable information for guests. We have stayed here twice and we look forward to returning.Did you find this review helpful? We spent almost two weeks in this apartment during Christmas and NYE holidays and absolutely enjoyed it. Loft is located on North Beach. This is not a center of the fun, but instead a quiet place to have a rest after club or shopping bonanza. The beach is just across the road and though it is more narrow comparing to the South Beach, it is much less crowded and gives you a perfect opportunity to read a book and not be distracted by a constant chattering. There's a 7-Eleven right in front of the building, so you get access to gas, food and hot coffee 24x7. On your left there are a number of small restaurants and bars, including Pizza Hut and IHOP. There is not only a pool on the roof, but also a number of tables and chairs, so you could have a dinner on that same roof and watch the sunset on the Bay. The apartment itself has everything you need. The kitchen lets you cook whatever you want, beach towels and chairs makes you ready for the sunbaths, cable TV and big plasma are good for watching whatever you want. And kudos for printer that helped us save some time with eTickets printed out. And I especially want to thank Christine for a friendly approach and participation! :) All in all, we had a great time and will definitely rent this loft again should we decide to go back to Miami.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the space was accurately represented on the listing. The photos of the place are great but the actual loft is even better. An entire wall of glass provides wonderful light and the double height ceilings make the space feel very big. Christine's property manager is a lovely lady who took very good care of me and was very helpful. The space is immaculate and very well equipped. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. There is a wonderful range of restaurants within a few minutes walk north on Collins. I loved the Cuban food the most. I wanted to bike during my stay and just a block up the street is the municipal Decobike stand. These stands are found throughout the area and they are great. Anytime - day or night - go up to the outdoor facility, stick in your credit card, choose 1/2 hour to 4 hours and take away a bike. There is a path that follows the beach from the southern most tip of South Beach all the way north to Bal Harbor. Parts of the path are paved and parts are hard, compacted sand. It was wonderful and very FLAT!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

And what is important: if there's a problem, it is solved asap by the owner or her relatives. My conclusion' If you go to Miami Beach, you go to Casablanca villas !Did you find this review helpful? My wife and I stayed here for 9 days and loved it. The condo is clean, quiet, and VERY well equiped. There really was nothing the owner did not have that we needed. Ada, the caretaker, was WONDERFUL, and met us on arrival. There is an indoor parking space and elevator access to the 5th floor. The condo has two balconies that overlook Collins Ave. and a sliver of a view of the ocean. We walked across to go to a BEAUTIFUL public beach, with bicycle path and lifeguard. The roof top hot tub was not working. We walked to Walgreen's easily. The condo is very quiet and is best for 2 adults and no children.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Hi, Christine~ We have returned from Florida where we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Your condo was perfect for our needs and so beautifully kept. It was indeed very quiet! (My daughter commented that the hotel district in South Beach, where she stayed, was a bit loud, even for her!) Thank you for the robes, eye shades and champagne. It was so kind of you to share these little gifts with us. We felt very safe in your secure building and loved the idea of having a parking space included with the condo. Parking in Miami Beach can be very expensive! The rooftop pool was a fun option and the sunset from there provided a nice end to the day when we were not out seeing the sights. The only constructive comment I would make pertains to the bed. As you know, we prefer a firmer mattress, but this one seems exceptionally soft. Still, I fully realize that mattresses - especially king size - are expensive. All in all, we thought your condo was one of the very best we have experienced and we have stayed at quite a few VRBO homes by this point. Cleanliness is number one in my book and your condo was perfect…absolutely immaculate!! We also loved the kitchen items, such as spices, coffee, mustard, etc. There was just nothing missing. Your property manager was punctual to the minute and seemed like such a nice person. We enjoyed meeting her. Best regards, LeslieRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I chose this rental over several others in the neighborhood, including several that were right on the ocean and were less money. I was impressed by the many positive reviews the architecture. I was not disappointed. In fact, I found the level of service, professionalism and quality actually exceeded my expectations. The loft-style two story spaces in the unit made it feel very spacious. The view of the blue neon Casablanca sign was actually cool and comforting. The quality of the furnishings and linens was top notch. Ada, the manager was helpful and attentive. Christine was constantly in touch checking on things. And was incredibly generous and fair in helping me deal with the potential impact of Hurricane Irene. She offered help or a refund should I choose not to weather the potential storm. In the end I left early, which it turned out was not necessary. I am very happy I chose this unit and cannot recommend it enough. Everthing worked great, beach is steps away, you can walk to restaurants, grocery store, drug store and the bus to South Beach is right around the corner. Only caveat: be careful on those steep stairs!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Well our plane has touched back down in to reality as of 1AM this morning in Los Angeles, but our peace of mind is still left in Miami. Thank you to Christine and Jeff for opening up this beautiful treasure. The pictures aren't able to do this slice of heaven justice. From the moment we walked through the door our mouths dropped and all we could say was "AAAAHHHH". Everything that you can think to have at home and then some was supplied, even up to the yellow rubber duckie if you decide to take a nice bubble bath. =^) The beach right across the street was easy to access, within walking distance is shops and restuarants, and South Beach is a 15 minute drive. It's great to stay here as you get to see the best of Miami (North and South). We didn't want to leave, we will definitely be back for Round Two.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment is just beautiful! Spacious, bright and modern it really is a slice of Miami luxury. You have the beach right across the road, supermarket within walking distance and the best way to spend your evenings after a hard day at the beach is watching the sunset in the jacuzzi on the rooftop. If you need to get to South Beach, it's $2 on a bus for 15 minutes max. so you are a good enough distance away from the hustle and bustle if you want to be but close enough to still enjoy it as you so wish. You have everything to make yourself feel at home in this apartment like washer / dryer and the little touches dotted around the kitchen and bathrooms make sure you feel utterly catered for. I would recommend this place to anyone and wish all those who visit it enjoy it as much as we did. Thank you.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

We stayed for 1 week in this apartment. Quit location, food shops (e.g., Publix) around the corner, and not far from South Beach (20-30 min bicycle ride). The apartment is very modern, well equipped with everything you need and the owner takes great care of you. On the roof top there is a pool and jacuzzi with view to downtown Miami and the Beach. We had a perfect stay and will definitively come back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

Having stayed over Easter when it was unseasonally hot due to the Tornado's - the cool and calm of the apartment was a welcome retreat from the heat. In a great location - just across the road from the beach and with lots of bars/resturants nearby, it had everything we needed and was a real pleasure to cook in with a gap view of the sea to look at. The apartment isn't on South Beach which we saw a great advantage as we could experience it and get away from the crowd! Also encouraged us to travel more north to Bel Harbour and Surfside. For those who want to drive, there's a car parking space but we used the frequent buses to get around and it was very reasonable in a cab from South Beach after evenings out.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and I wanted to show my husband the area I grew up in. This was an excellent place! The condo is close to the beach and there is a roof top pool. Neither were ever crowded. The condo had everything we needed except beach chairs. We were far enough away from South Beach to avoid the rowdy crowds, but close enough to drive over for some of the shopping. There are many restaurants and stores within walking distance, so we only drove to get to nearby attractions. There are so many things to do and see, that we couldn't get them into one week. We will definitely be going back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I think we may have finally won the battle of the beach chairs! It has been hard to find lightweight portable chairs that didn't disintegrate immediately after purchase but I think we have now got a couple of good contenders for your next visit with us! Looking forward to hosting you again soon!

My boyfriend and I stayed here over a long weekend. The condo was very clean and is exactly as pictured. The location was perfect for us because it was only a 10 min drive to south beach but was away from the craziness in a nice quiet neighborhood. You also have easy access to downtown Miami and the airport (both about 10-15 min drive). We rented a car but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and there seemed to be plenty of taxis around. The condo is right across the street from the beach and you can easily walk through the Casablanca hotel for access, or there is a public beach access a couple of blocks away. The rooftop pool and hot tub were both very nice and we pretty much had them to ourselves as there weren't that many other people around. Watching the sunset from the roof is amazing and you have awesome views of Miami. The day we were supposed to leave our flight got cancelled so we were stuck in Miami for another night (not that I'm complaining). Christine was very accomodating and let us stay that extra night in the condo. I would absolutly recommend this to anyone visiting Miami beach. It is much nicer than the hotels in the area I have stayed at previously and this will be my first choice next time I am in the area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The owner has wonderful taste and has thought of everything to make your stay away from home as comfortable as can be. As a matter of fact I think she could go into the business of helping people set up their vacation rentals. The condo is perfectly appointed with every convenience and has great wireless service. The bedding is very cozy, the apartment is immaculate, the kitchen is perfect. It was great having a bath and a half. The condo has easy parking and easy access to all points in and around Miami. The owner was great with communication and coordinating our contact for keys Highly recommended. Would definitely return in the future! .Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed in the condo for 2,5 weeks. The condo is exactly as seen on the pictures. We liked the contemporary furniture. A great plus is the parking garage. The location is great as it is only a few steps away from the clean, white and wide beach with a paved walking path behind the dunes. At 7134 Collins Ave. we found the Buenos Aires Bakery where excellent coffee and delicious cakes are served. The place is often rather crowded! By car it is a short drive to South Beach and South Point Park. Aventura Mall with very good shops and a movie complex are easy to reach. Unfortunately we could not use the rooftop pool (unheated) as the temperatures were too low. The view from the rooftop is incredible. We would choose the condo again and we will recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: So happy you both had a lovely holiday. Thanks so much for choosing our condo and hopefully next time we can greet you with warmer weather! ;-)

My wife and I rented the condo for our wedding weekend. My wife and her bridesmaids used it to get ready before the wedding. There was room for her, 5 bridesmaids, her mother, the hair and makeup artists, and photographers. We then stayed there after the reception until we left on our honeymoon. This condo is beautiful, very clean, new and very quiet. Every attention to detail has been taken beyond that which you would receive at a regular hotel. The owner was great to work with and the property manager was there for whatever we needed including check in and check out. It has a great location that is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. You also have views of the ocean from the balconies. I will be recommending this place to family and friends that are coming to town to visit, or local ones that just want a weekend get away on Miami Beach. I also will be staying there again in the future since we liked it so much.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have been traveling to Miami for several years now and decided to try a place that was a little removed from the action in South Beach. What a great decision this was. The condo is located in a very nice location... very close to the beach (can see it from the condo itself), restaurants, and only a short drive/taxi ride from South Beach. This was the initial draw to this condo. But once we arrived we were even more delighted to find how clean, new, and fresh everything was inside. The decor was very clean and modern (we even purchased the couch for our own place) and everything we needed for our stay was already there. We also found the rooftop pool and catwalk in the bedroom to be very neat additions. The owner of this condo is also very accommodating and has been very helpful to us even outside of our stay by recommending different stores and options for decorating the condo that we recently purchased. If we did not have our own place, we would definitely consider staying here again because of our great experience. We really enjoyed being a little bit away from South Beach where it is quieter, but were still able to visit South Beach for dinner, shopping, etc with ease. There is no real need for a car, as taxis are pretty afforadable and there is also public transportation available if you prefer that. Due to our memorable experience, we recommend this to anyone who is looking to escape to paradise and enjoy everything that Miami Beach has to offer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear Leah, So happy that you are enjoying your new condo and while it is a pity we won't see you again as a guest, I do hope we can get together for that coffee if we find ourselves in the neighborhood at the same time! All the best!

I can't express enough how much my husband and I enjoyed staying at this clean, modern and beautiful condo. We were very impressed by a number of things: clean, new furnishings and appliances (it has everything you need and more, even a blender in the kitchen!) the location (a very short trip straight down the road to South Beach by car/taxi, and right across the street from a very nice beach and paved walking/biking path, several great restaurants/bars within walking distance, not to mention just being in Miami Beach close to so many cool areas and attractions), the design and layout of the condo (two great balconies, a supercool catwalk taking you from the bedroom right out to the upper balcony), and so much more...like the rooftop pool area with jacuzzi and great views in every direction of the city! A couple good restaurants in the area that we liked were: Norman's (American food/bar- try the fish tacos!) and Sazon (great Spanish food) in case others are curious like I am about nearby good eats! And a Publix supermarket nearby. Overall you can't go wrong with this place. We were glad not to have stayed right in SouthBeach as it was a little crazy (Spring Break time) and places around there didn't look half as nice as ours. But we could easily reach it when we wanted to. fyi- we're both 38 but this would be a great place for couples of any age to stay. Also, you could get by without a car here if you don't mind taking taxis when necessary and want to stay near the beach most of the time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
