We had such a wonderful time at Auburn Sky. The cabin is even more beautiful in person. The views are well worth the trip up the mountain. We did have an issue on Saturday with the fireplace. A phone call to Summit Cabin rentals was all it took. They sent someone out and had the fireplace back in service in no time. Very professional and personable. I would recommend them, and this cabin to anyone looking for a mountain getaway!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fantastic Stay at this cabin

We have been coming to the Smokies for years but this may have been our best trip yet!! The cabin is well decorated, clean and comfortable. The views are awesome and we are blown away by the fall colors. Kids really enjoyed the pool table and the adults really enjoyed the break! Had an outstanding time and will be back next fall!!

Good views, beautiful cabin, but roaches and cleanliness issues

Pros: Beautiful cabin with great views. When we arrived, we were so excited, but... Cons: During the first night, our 8 month old child woke up around 2am hungry. When we went to prepare a bottle, we found roaches crawling all over the kitchen sink and cabinets. The first night we saw around 20 to 30. Most were really small, but some were larger. They were on much of the food, so anything not in the fridge or that had been opened had to be thrown away. During the day, we did not see any. The owner came to spray, but, again that night, there were more roaches. I would say we killed around 20, but every time we walked by again there would be another 5 to 10 on the cabinet. We understand that cabins will have bugs (especially the stink bugs, they are everywhere in this area), we live in the area and understand this very well, but roaches are unacceptable. Additionally, there were some cleaning issues. The king bed had what appeared to be a large urine stain on the mattress. We found hair all over one of the towels, which worried us that they were not properly washed. I will say that ownership does seem to be responsive, and we are currently discussing some form of repayment.

Owner response: We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the cabin. When you called about the pest issue we came out immediately to spray. We do have pest service that sprays the cabins monthly so we rarely have any issues with pest control. After your departure I hired another pest service to come inspect the cabin for roach activity just to make sure the service we have been using was doing a good enough job. They were not able to find any roaches either. We did do another full treatment just to insure we were being as proactive as possible. I am not doubting you may have seen a couple bugs as it is almost impossible to keep them all out of a cabin. I would suggest that if it were as infected as you are saying that surely we would have had calls from guests prior to you. The cabin rents very often and have never had a complaint about cleanliness or bug infestation. In fact quite the opposite. The feed back we get from prior guest has always been very positive. With regard to the dirty towells, we have all our linens professionally laundered. Again we never get a complaint on the laundry not coming back clean. In fact when we get it back it is cleaned, pressed and wrapped in plastic. We have a full time inspector that checks behind the cleaners and does a walk through before check in's to make sure everything is as it should be. Normally when we have this many complaints on a cabin that has such a good track record there is usually an agenda on the part of the guest wanting a discount. You were asking for monetary compensation the day you got there. I always look for the good in people but it's as if you came in looking for a discount. That aside, we take every guest complaint very seriously and will always do what we can to make sure everybodys trip is all that it can be. We have many safeguards in place to make sure our quality is top notch. Again let me say we are very sorry you had a bad experience and we are looking into all your complaints as if it were the gospel and any legitimate issues we find will be handled swiftly and with the up most care.

What a GREAT vacation! Everything we hoped for and then some!! The rain storm on the last day was breath taking!! Saw a bear, racoon and bat.. a great adventure! Turkeys everywhere. Beautiful cabin and view. Clean and well equipped cabin!! Great Memories and fun!

Our family and friends had a wonderful time!! Beautiful Views and comfortable place to rest our heads. Made for a great vacation. We will certainly return!! This cabin is awesome!!

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! The space is great and the views are amazing!! We had a black bear hang out at the cabin Friday morning and that evening, talk about a great experience!!

This cabin was amazing!! The view is breath taking. Our family vacation was awesome. We added a new family member, our son got married. Best vacation we've had in years. Can't wait to come back!!

This was the first time I have ever visited Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg area and I had a blast!!! "Auburn Sky" is a fantastic cabin which exceeded all of my "Mountain Vacation" expectations!! The cabin was very spacious and accommodating for our party of 10 (6 adults, 4 children). The hot tub, Jacuzzi tubs, pool table and air hockey table were well used and enjoyed thoroughly. The beds were very comfy as well! The views are spectacular and well worth the treacherous climb up the mountain to the cabin. Shagbark security was very hospitable and helpful to us! Tell Bubba we said hey!! All in all I was very pleased with my “Mountain Vacation” and will most definitely be back to enjoy “Auburn Sky” again!! Thank you so much for sharing your “little slice of heaven” with us!! Can‘t wait to visit again! PS...If you are considering visiting the mountains, I highly recommend "Auburn Sky"! You will NOT be dissappointed!

We loved this cabin. It had breathtaking views of the mountains and sunsets. We have vacationed here three times before and this was the best cabin by far. It is the first cabin that we will book again. The cabin was clean, the beds were very comfortable and it had all the ammenities we needed. We can't wait to go back.

This is a beautiful cabin , we were blessed to be able to stay here with my mother and 2 sisiters,niece and her 2 kids. This was my mothers first time to ever stay in a cabin. It was a wonderful weekend!!!
