The front deck is ideal for lunching, sunning, and watching nature at play and joins a grassed lawn perfect for games. A hammock under the pines is for quiet time. Stay cozy on a cool evening with a small wood stove.

A short drive will take you to all the festivals Rockland has each summer weekend as well as the Camden/Rockport harbors, home to the schooner fleet. A nautical museum,general store/cafe, post office, library and great fishing are within walking distance. Launch your kayak and explore the shoreline.

  • If you're looking for a comfortable place that feels like home, this is it! The back deck was the livingroom for us. It's very quiet and private. We went kayaking from the back yard. The cottage was exceptionally clean and the owners were great to deal with. We would definately rent Hawkweed again.

  • We stayed for several days with our two young children. This was a perfect location for us as there was a yard for them to play in and a large deck. Also privacy for mom & dad since there's 3 bedrooms. Husband went kayaking from back yard. Our oldest (4 1/2) cried when we left - she wants to move to the little cottage in Maine!
