I found this property on VRBO.com after searching thru multiple listings. This place stood out among all the others for its View and its Price. I could not find anything close to this deal in Steamboat. From the minute I submitted an inquiry request, Ann Mengel was first class and on top of every detail! She was Very prompt in responding to my email and had extensive details laid out on expectations from me, as well all the amenities her condo had to offer. Throughout the decision process, and into the days leading up to my stay, she was incredibly helpful and available with any questions and concerns I had, including recommending local restaurants, attractions, and websites to check out, as well as coupon books that are available in the condo. Upon arrival, My wife and I were overly pleased with the accommodations. The condo exceeded our expectations and exceeded the quality that the pictures showed. What an amazing place to stay. Incredibly homey! Feels like a real home, or cabin, tucked away on a huge mountainside with an AMAZING view.....only its 5 minutes away from everything!! This does not feel like a condo. We had no issues with neighbors, nor heard any noise from them. The fully stocked Kitchen was wonderful and offers a big savings on groceries rather than eating out every meal. The heated floor in the bathroom was really impressive as well. DVD movie selection was an added bonus. Fireplace is very warming and creates and excellent ambiance. I would recommend this place to anyone. Whether for 2 people, as was the case with my wife and I, or for a family of 6, this place is plenty big and accommodating. You won't be disappointed!

The condo was everything we needed to have a great family vacation. Ann was amazing with all the details for the condo as well as the area. We had a list of restaurants and activities that made our stay perfect. The condo allowed us to enjoy home cooked breakfasts and wine by the fireplace in the evenings. Ann takes great pride in her rental property and it shows!

I would highly recommend this place. Great view. Cozy condo. Comfortable bedding. Well stocked kitchen. Handy and friendly on-call transportation. Everything wonderful. Could use a few more cable TV channels, but plenty of great movies to watch for a wide variety of tastes. Will definitely book again.

This condo was the perfect place for two couples. It is nicely furnished and decorated, making you feel like you were home. We each had a bedroom with a queen bed. There were also 2 bathrooms, one with a jetted tub. The kitchen was fully equipped and the grill worked beautifully in the cold weather. It was nice having a heated closet at the end of the day for our snowy skis. From our perch overlooking Yampa Valley we saw hot air ballons lifting off, the sun setting and the falling snow . One of the best things was the on call bus that picked us up about 50 feet from the door and delivered us quickly to the gondola area. Goose, our driver, arrived within minutes of our call. He helped with directions and answered all our questions. All the other drivers were also courteous and helpful. They made you feel very welcome. Steamboat Smokehouse is a great place for BBQ. It was so easy to make the condo reservations. Ann, the owner, answered right back. Her detailed information made everything so easy. Within hours of leaving I knew my security deposit was being returned. You need to make reservations here - just not when we are going to be back there!

Charming and comfortable, exceptionally clean, nicely furnished and updated all with a beautiful view of Yampa Valley - just as described! The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed the extensive DVD and board game collection for the kids. We also enjoyed the property hot tubs and dry sauna as well (which was conveniently located to the hot tub for a nice, warm place to towel off and dress). Really the perfect place to stay for a family ski vacation Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone! Ann is a thoughtful owner and no detail was missed when making arrangements. We enjoyed the Steamboat Smokehouse and the family style B-BQ dinner but make reservations. The hot springs at Strawberry Park is also worth a visit but you will definitely need 4 wheel drive or take the shuttle. Soaking in the springs, in the middle of the woods, was an amazing experience. Thanks for a memorable stay in Steamboat!

This was a great place for our family of 4. Nicely appointed, maintained, cleaned, and supplied. The kids loved the choices of games, actually spent more time playing games than watching the TV/DVDs. Close to mountain and not too far from downtown. When we visit Steamboat again, we will check availability here first. Thanks!

This condo was absolutely amazing and was everything that we were looking for in our getaway destination! From the first inquiry, the owner was extremely helpful and made the process unbelievably simple. She made me extremely comfortable using VRBO as this was my first time using the service. When we pulled in to the property, we instantly realized it was exactly how it was listed on VRBO. The quiet mountainside setting made for a very peaceful destination spot and the views of the town below were breathtaking! Inside, the condo was cozy and spacious at the same time. The condo was immaculately clean and organized. We had 4 adults staying there and the two bed/two bath setup was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook a full dinner. The dining area and living room were large enough for us to entertain a group of 7 people and the fireplace made the space very cozy. The books, DVDs and several board games were an added bonus to make the place feel more like home. Also, it was nice having a washer and dryer as we stayed for a week. The small storage unit just outside the entrance to the condo would be a perfect spot to store ski equipment after returning from a day on the slopes. Steamboat will always hold a special place in our hearts as my fiance and I were engaged while out there. If we ever make it back there, I will do everything I can to get this place again!!!

The condo was perfect for our family of four. Woke up each morning to a beautiful view and hot air ballons. The condo was well appointed and located close to everything. Ann was great in providing wonderful ideas for fun and food, all suggestions ended up being great. Would recommend this location to anyone, in fact we hope to come back next year. Went to Saddleback ranch for a horse ride, beautiful ranch with a great staff. Try Winonas and Freshies for wonderful lunch/breakfast. Try the Ore house restaurant for a traditional steak house.

Super clean and bright, comfortable furniture and beds. Amazing views. The kitchen has everything you need to bake, make full meals, or open a bottle of wine with cheese and even has kitchen items such as a salad spinner and muffin tins. I was surprised to find nice soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. I think the owner Ann is out to win some kind of best VRBO award, and she should get it! She was very professional to work with and I never worried that the key wouldn't be there or I wouldn't get my deposit back.

Thanks, Ann. The condo was just as described. Spacious, clean, comfortable. And the views, magic. I ran the Run Rabbit Run 50 mile race and beat my best time by 3 hours (11hr 21 min). It was nice not to have to climb a flight of stairs after the race. My wife and I brought our bikes, rode to the Falls and had a picnic. LOVED the incline up to the condo. Great workout. My sister and her husband came out from California. We cooked, drank wine and all had a great time. Loved Winona's and the Boathouse. Thanks again, Ann.

Ann: For two couples, your condo was perfect. Having experienced other VRBO properties in the past I have to say that yours stands out at the top for several reasons. (1) The two bedrooms were equal in terms of comfort and bathrooms. The bathroom fixtures and towels were better than mine at home. Impressive! (2) Your administration was the best I've seen. Written details were to the point and accurate and everything was as nice or nicer than you represented them to be. You have paid so much attention to details in preparation. You can tell that you actually use your place. (3) The view in the Steamboat area was incredible. As a cyclist, I could do without the steep incline to access the giant size parking area but that the price you pay for "the view". Ann, thank you for allowing us such a great lodging experience in the mountains of Colorado. Now, because of your beautiful condo, I'm hoping to get my wife to enjoy the winter experience on the skies as well since she can now enjoy a atmosphere of a nice home environment away from home.

We spent three nights while volunteering for the US Pro Cycling race. We were able to take just a short walk down Apres Ski Way to watch the racers come by on their way out of Steamboat. How convenient and how exciting. Our stay included an enjoyable meal at the Cantina but even more enjoyable meals using the BBQ on the deck overlooking the Yampa Valley. Ann, thanks for providing all the comforts of home at the condo as well as being so responsive in your emails. We had a great time!

We loved our stay at Ann's condo. People are correct when they say the pictures don't do it justice. The location is not only convenient, but has a fantastic view. We know there were people staying above us, but things are so well insulated, the noises made by other visitors can barely be heard. This condo was extremely well supplied, and was perfectly clean. We really hated leaving ... it had become "our" place. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone. Ann is wonderful to work with and it was a totally wonderful experience - both staying there and dealing with Ann.

Everything inside the condo was awesome as well! A well stocked kitchen and big DVD collection for adults and children. We'd definitely come and stay here again the next time we come to Steamboat Springs!

The condo is clean and comfortable in every way with a spectacular view of the mountains and valley. All instructions were easy to follow and everything needed was at hand. Although we only stayed for two days, it was the highlight of our Colorado visit. Because of the rain, we made good use of the hot tubs there instead of going on to Strawberry Park Hot Springs. We played games at the dining table while watching the beautiful scenery outdoors. The gondola ride to a good lunch on the mountain was enjoyed one day. Delicious meals were eaten at Sweetwater Grill and Winona's in town. Don't miss out on this!

We found the condo to be as well-appointed as other reviews boasted. It was stocked with all the little things you miss when away from home - salt, tape, sandwich bags, paper napkins, reusable grocery bags, beach towels . . . even membership cards for the local grocery stores. I think the puzzles were missing some pieces, but that almost made it feel more like being at home! It is very close to the ski village, but high on the mountain so the view is amazing. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone and will consider it next time I return to Steamboat. Thanks, Ann

Ann's home in Steamboat is a great option for families wanting a comfortable, spacious condo near to the slopes. The shuttle bus picks you up right outside your door and was never more than a 5 minute wait. I drove our car twice in a whole week while we were there - was nice to leave the keys at the condo and not be driving the family around every day. The condo has most everything you would need for a great stay, the kitchen is large enough and well stocked to allow you to eat in with your crew, enjoy a great ski vacation and not burn a hole on your credit card eating out every night. The washer/dryer are very useful and helps prevent laundry runs cutting into the family vacation. The condo description is accurate and Ann's directions and instructions were clear and helpful. We stored our skis at the resort for the week and rode the short 6 minute shuttle ride to the resort each day and jumped right on the gondola. The view from the condo is lovely in the morning as well. The community hot tubs could've been a bit warmer (there are no controls to adjust) but otherwise the location was great. We would definitely consider Ann's condo again if our ski trips take us back to Steamboat :-)

My family visited Steamboat Springs during Spring Break this year. This was our 1st ski trip and we had a great time! Ann's condo was wonderful - so comfortable and has a great view! The shuttle service was great! It was a pleasure doing business with Ann - she was always quick to answer my questions, and provided us with some awesome tips on things to do and places to eat. I debated back and forth on whether to get a 1 bedroom ski in/ski out or this 2 bedroom with a great view for about the same price. I was very happy with the choice I made - I know my girls appreciated having their own room and sleeping on the comfy queen bed at the end of each busy day vs sleeping on a pullout sofa.

We had a fabulous 5 night stay in Steamboat at Yampa View. As many of the reviews say, the condo is very well stocked with pretty much everything you'd need. It's clean and comfortable and the views are amazing - the pictures just don't capture it. Ann provided us with all the info we'd need to pick the right things to do, places to go, etc. We had 1 skier, a mom and 2 year old and the grandparents and everyone had a wondeful time. We are already looking to plan a summer trip to stay in the condo again. Thanks Ann!

We have rented Ann's condo three years in a row for a week during ski season and love the location and amenities. Every time we come we notice that Ann has made an improvement. Heated bathroom floor last year, new major kitchen appliances this year. Incredible view overlooking the valley and just minutes to the slopes. Because of the convenient washer/dryer in the unit we are able to pack light, a real plus because we fly into Denver from the Midwest and drive to Steamboat Springs (even better when not on Southwest and have luggage fees to contend with). Strong wireless enables us to keep in touch with home and office via email and check local info (hours, menu specials, etc.) on the internet. We highly recommend Ann's condo!

A wonderful place. Neat, clean, and very well organized. I can't think of one improvement that could be done. Everything has been well thought out so that everyone who stays there can enjoy themselves. I certainly hope that everyone in the future will take care of this wonderful place as we did. We did have a tad of a problem, however, with the lock box. Nevertheless, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay there very much. Congratulations for the wonderful work that you have done there. As a side note from a coastal "flatlander ", I enjoyed hiking in the nearby mountains. By the way, what is all that white stuff on the ground?

Our visitt to Steamboat was even more pleasant because of the beautiful view and amenities of your condo. Looking out across the valley from your deck in the mornings and evenings was one of our favorite pastimes. Your music CDs were just great, as was your selection of DVDs. Our stay in Steamboat Springs was even better by our choice of condo. Ann sent us detailed information on restaurants, things to do and directions which was very helpful. The remodeled condo was very clean, spacious and well equipped. It even had things for small children; port a crib, booster seat, small eating utensils and games. Lots of movies, a great view of the valley, outdoor gas grill, all of the amenities one would expect from a "home away from home" There are so many things to do in Steamboat that we didn't have a chance to enjoy all of them, so we are planning another stay soon. The price was very competitive, as we had friends staying at the Hampton Inn and they paid slightly more than we did with all of the extras that were included with the great condo. Heated bathroom floors, jetted tub, nice towels, hair dryer, room fans, everything imaginable. wonderful place to stay

Ann's condo felt just like home the minute we walked through the door! It is beautifully appointed and has a fantastic view of the mountains. The bedrooms and mattresses are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. There is a large flat screen TV with a DVD player and lots of great DVD's for both adults and children! Everything that a renter could ask for is provided. The washer and dryer were convienent and made it possible for us to pack fewer clothes. Ann has thought of every amenity a renter could ask for. Get your request in early so you too can have this terrific experience.

Our stay was wonderful. The condo was in pristine condition and the view was relaxing and wonderful. Steamboat has a lot to offer visitors in the summer and we enjoyed taking in activities and great food.

This condo was great! It included everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Clean and awesome view of Yampa Valley. The owner was terrific to work with. She provides recommendations and is timely in her commuications. We will try to stay here again when we come to Steamboat!

We just returned from a great week in Steaamboat Springs and Ann's condo was just perfect for us (two couples). Cost: reasonable, Amenities: many extras, Comfort: fantastic beds, nice living areas, new bath, View of balloon festival from deck: PRICELESS!! Highly recommend it for any time in the four seasons!

My hubby and I stayed here with our two small children ages 1 & 4. The kids did very well, loved all the games and toys. Convenient with the kiddos ~ pack'n play, high chair, sippy cup, toys. The view from the deck is perfect! Loved having breakfast while enjoying it and sitting on the deck relaxing when we got back at night or naptime. Makes It feel very open, not packed in a complex which I liked. This condo is very nice on the inside, good sized, great beds and kitchen! Thought it was well-priced, and we are familiar with other options in Steamboat since we've stayed many times. Only reason we would pick a different condo is for a pool but didn't need one this visit.
