This charming 2,000 s/f log home sits on two sprawling acres along the rushing Wind River in the quaint cowboy town of Dubois, Wyoming. The home is tastefully furnished in a western theme and has all modern appliances and amenities. There are amazing views of the river and mountains from every room. The area is a nature lover’s paradise and is home to many species of wildlife – moose, elk, deer, bear and the largest herd of bighorn sheep in the world. And don’t forget about blue-ribbon trout fishing just steps from your door – your own private piece of the Wind River!
The home has a large open living area with vaulted ceilings and a cozy soapstone wood stove for cool evenings. There is a large satellite TV in the living area as well as a DVD. Wireless Internet & private phone are also available.
For spillover guests, the living area has Western style bunk beds & another single bed.
The open & spacious eat-in kitchen boasts Italian tile floors & marble countertops with an island.
The tastefully decorated Master Bedroom is located on the lower level. The bedroom has a queen bed as well as a bassinet/crib for young guests. Next to the master bedroom is a bath with a claw foot tub.
The upper level of the home has two large bedrooms with queen beds and both rooms have balconies to take in the stunning views. A bath between the bedrooms also has a brand new, very nice, American Indian, all tile, walk in shower.
Guests can enjoy the 8 person hot tub on the wrap-around deck, which looks out over the river, or just enjoy the beauty of the setting while relaxing on the deck’s outdoor furniture.
There are many recreational pursuits in the area for guests including horseback riding, hiking, atving, fly-fishing & hunting. In the winter, guests can enjoy cross-county skiing, snowmobiling, dog-sledding & world-class downhill skiing in nearby Jackson Hole.
The entrances to Grand Teton National Park & Yellowstone National Park are only 50 miles away. The Dubois area makes a nice base-camp to these magnificent parks.
So come enjoy a relaxing vacation at “Cabin on the River Bend”. It will be a vacation that you will never forget!

We've stayed here for parts of the last three summers. The cabin is open, spacious, airy. Beds are comfortable and clean, as are all the furnishings. Gorgeous views of the Wind River, its banks and bluffs. You've got the Wind outside your windows, so the effect is one of natural air conditioning and water sound effects. Savor the night views from the deck and hot tub . . . there's nothing quite like a black Wyoming sky lit up only by stars, no city lights. Sunrise and sunset aren't bad, either. Dubois is a wonderful little town, brimming with community spirit and enterprise. Enjoy walks into town and back, with the National Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center and Dubois Museum on the way. If you want only a place to eat and sleep after days of exploring or recreation, this is the place. If you want only to sit on the deck reading Wallace Stegner and biographies of General Sheridan and Buffalo Bill Cody, this is the place. Whatever you've got in mind, this simple, soaring cabin and amenities will keep you coming back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Highly recommend this property for it's location and comfort, Although I would have liked to be a teensy bit closer to Yellowstone than this, I knew what I was signing up for, so if you are looking for Yellowstone in your backyard, this is not the property to rent. If you are looking for comfort, room, total convenience and every amenity in a beautiful location, this IS the place you should look into. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for the nine of us (my parents, bro & wife and my family of five). The cabin was cute beyond belief and had the best sat tv ever. The hot tub gave us trouble the first two days but the property manager had someone on it immediately and was always available for questions. The town of Dubois was just right; not too touristy and not too big. We loved our stay. Thank you to the Homeowners for providing your "home away from home" to us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
