The house was very spacious and gave us plenty of room. The main den TV was not connected but noticed that some of bedrooms were working. The dining area provided a beautiful view of the lake to the west and the porch was excellent for morning respite. If you eat out, Oscar's was a hit with all 9 of us.Did you find this review helpful? The house is remarkable - beautifully furnished, clean, great kitchen and hugh deck for dining and looking out over the Lake. There is also a grill if you prefer cooking out. We loved the area - close to Auburn, Opelika, Alex City, Dadeville with lots of nice shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed the hiking trails through the beautiful Alabama woods and around the Lake. We hope the home is available later in October so we can go back and enjoy the fall colors. I highly recommend this property - plenty of comfortable beds - a bright, light lovely home that a large family can enjoy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family loved the home and the surrounding areas. The house was extremely clean and huge! We were able to comfortable sleep our entire family of 8 adults and 4 young kids! There is a great view of the lake, and the community offered every amenity we could ask for. We went swimming, played golf, and rented a boat at the nearby marina. We also went to the Auburn game and were able to make it there in 30 minutes! We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of 5 adults and one infant had a wonderful stay at this property. The pictures on the web don't do it justice. It is a beautiful and wonderfully furnished home. There are 4 bedrooms/3 baths on the main floor and 1 bedroom/1 bath downstairs. The layout of the bedrooms resulted in separate zones that offered great privacy. The home was spotless and just as advertised. It was an easy drive to Auburn for the football game. We can easily recommend this one.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The lake house was beautiful but there was no dock or pier and that was just the beginning of the issues. The owner told my daughter in law that we could use the brother in law's dock next door but he was upset and made us move the boat. The walkway to the sea wall where we then had to dock the boat after being denied access to the pier was incomplete. The small children were not able to keep their balance walking in the pine straw nor were the elderly guest. The walkway was a concrete wall only one block wide and had no hand rail. The walkway was not all the way from the house to the water. Upon our arrival there was a mound of dirty towels and sheets in the laundry. Many of the towels were wet and we had to wash them to have towels in the bathrooms to use for showers. So much food was in the refrigerator we had trouble finding enough room for the things we brought for the week. Then to top things off the sister in law from next door just walked in the house unannounced and was looking in the downstairs area for something. And the deposit was not returned for almost a month after our stay. I do not recommend this lake house.Owner response: We make every attempt to refund deposits as soon as possible after a tenant departs our home. In this case the deposit was delayed because the tenant did not adhere to our guidlines and some additional items needed to be addressed before a refund could be processed. After our review and inspection we sent a full refund of the deposit to the tenant and communicated each step of the way. Another tenant departed only hours before this tenant arrived so our cleaning crew did not have a chance to completely wash and dry every item therefore there was a basket of laundry however we did not ask our tenants to take care of this and there were still plenty of towels and sheets available for their use. We offer a full walkway with steps down to the water that is very child-friendly. I have 4 young children and an elderly monther in law and they have no problems getting down to the water. We have had dozens of satisfied renters with no other complaints.

The house is spacious both up and down stairs. We never felt crowded in the house with all of my family. On rainy days or evenings, the children played downstairs or watched movies while the adults enjoyed quietness upstairs. The big kitchen made it nice for the family to gather around to make and eat meals. We were able to pull our waverunners right up to the sea wall for easy access to the lake. My five grandchildren said “best vacation ever”.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. We enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend of skiiing and Auburn Tiger Football. The weather was great and so was your home. The home is beautiful and fully furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The WiFi internet and satellite TV is a big plus. I hope we can visit again next year. About the owner: Property owners are John & Tiffany Davis. John is a graduate of Auburn University. He decided to build this gorgeous home in 2006 to be close to his home town and Alma Mater.
