  We were very pleased with this property! All descriptions on the site were accurate. The owners were great hosts, there to answer any questions that we had. The area is beautiful, and there is a ton of history to see. The decor was gorgeous and very up to date. The grounds were beautiful and there were animals and nature to observe also. We would definitely stay here again!

  My husband and I were looking for a comfortable place to stay near Shepherdstown. We definitely found the perfect place with the Perchasta Cottage. We always travel with two well behaved dogs, so a location that allows pets and has lots of outdoor opportunities to walk the dogs is a priority. The cottage is incredibly close to Shepherdstown, a couple of minutes drive and you are downtown. The location is very quiet and beautifully situated on the tree farm. Right away we felt at home in this cottage. It is not only pretty, but also very well layed out, easy to get around and enough space to just comfortably hang out. We arrived when the weather was very cold, so we got to really enjoy the perfectly decorated and furnished cottage. The bedrooms are both very nice size, have beautiful beds with excellent mattresses and bedding. The kitchen is fairly large with every one could wish for. The whole cottage appears to be new and everything is impecably taken care of. The garage is a great feature, one can enter it directly from the house. There are several great restaurants in Shepherdstown, an absolut must is brunch at the Bavarian Inn. We will certainly return again to this wonderful cottage, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

  What a wonderful and cozy cottage. Has everything you need. Had so much room for all of my daughter's bridesmaids to get make-up and hair done and get dressed. It was just down the road from the beautiful tiny little church. So close to downtown which is adorable. I highly recommend this cottage for a weekend get away.

  This was a wonderful place to stay near Harper's Ferry and Antietam National Battlefields and other attractions. It was located in a natural setting and had a wonderful deck to relax and watch the deer and birds. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The hosts though of all the necessary amenities and they offer their guests vegetables from their garden. We asked for a few items like lawn chairs and a cooler which they let us borrow. And the honey they provide guests is so good. It was difficult to leave this cozy and comfortable cottage, but we plan on returning someday to enjoy the peace and quite.

  We have stayed at the Perchasta Cottage numerous times while in Shepherdstown. The Cottage has become our lodging of choice, being in a parklike country setting that is only 2 minutes from downtown. The Cottage is meticulously maintained, and has full amenities - two bedrooms, full kitchen and dining table for six, living room, two baths, satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet, wood stove, full laundry, and outdoor deck with gas grill and umbrella table. Even indoor parking beneath the living area. The hosts have always been friendly and attentive to our needs. The location at the north end of the Shenandoah Valley is central to numerous points of interest, including the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, Shepherdstown, Shepherd University, Harpers Ferry, Charles Town, Martinsburg, Antietam National Battlefield, and the C&O Canal National Historical Park. The Civil War Battle of Shepherdstown took place only a short distance away. Running, walking, and biking are all available right from the Cottage or on the C&O Canal Towpath along the Potomac River. We have spent much time in and around Shepherdstown, and the Perchasta Cottage is our favorite place to stay, whether for business, recreation, or romance.

  The cottage was perfect for our winter travel to WV. It was very clean with an open and roomy atmosphere that enabled us to visit and share indoor games and activities with our very young grandchildren. Being able to share meals in a home-like setting made us all much more comfortable than being in a public restaurant where the children would need to sit still for a good while. Tari and Keith were very friendly and have a thoughtful attention to details that made our stay so enjoyable. We definitely recommend Perchasta to anyone visiting the area.

  We enjoyed a long weekend exploring Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Shepherdstown, and bike riding on the C&O. We brought our toddler with us and had a great time. The Cottage was exactly as advertised and the location prettier than pictured. The cottage had all the conveniences of home including wifi. The owners were very welcoming, hospitable, and helpful in planning our trip. We enjoyed the dining and local wine shop in Shepherdstown. We recommend the Blue Moon Cafe, Press Room, and the Thai restaurant. Next time we are in the area, we will stay at this cottage again, and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

  We stayed at the cottage for a weekend. My daughter is attending Shepherd college and we wanted an alternative to the hotels in town. We are so glad we chose the cottage. We were very comfortable, everything was clean, and the property is beautiful. We would recommend it to everyone. Our only regret is we did not have enough time to explore the property. We will definitly check availability at the cottage next time we visit.

  We were lucky enough to have found such a wonderful cottage to stay in as we toured the Civil War sites, road our bikes along the C&O canal trail and browsed through Shepherdstown. After busy days we were able to return to our "home" and actually cooked dinner and relaxed. Really felt like we were at home. So, much nicer than a hotel or even B&B. Tari and Keith, you thought of everything your guests would need. Thank you for sharing and the gift of honey. Best wishes and we will certainly recommend your place to our family and friends.

  I had the great pleasure and good fortune to stay in the graciously appointed Perchasta Farm Cottage during a recent visit to Shepherdstown and was simply delighted by its tranquil charm. Upon taking my first few steps in the door, I felt immediately at home--perhaps even more so than I do in my actual home! This feeling of home and hospitality was further reinforced as I proceeded to the dining area where a gift of jarred honey from the owner's bee colonies awaited me (it was, perhaps not suprisingly, the best honey I've ever tasted!). I highly recommend this vacation rental for those seeking a serene and relaxing retreat from a busy world. The cottage is coveniently located near Shepherdstown attractions and is just a short drive from historic Harper's Ferry. My only regret regarding my brief visit is that I was unable to stay longer! I look forward to devising future excuses to visit Shepherdstown and to stay again at Perchasta Farm Cottage.
