We are from Canada and recently returned from a 5-week stay in Paris. We were visiting our son, who is studying in Paris this semester, and stayed at this apartment in the Bastille area. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. All of the rooms were immaculately clean upon arrival. The living room was large, bright and airy and we loved buying fresh flowers every week at the market to make us feel at home. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed to cook any meal. There was a washer and dryer, which came in very handy since we were there for a few weeks. The shower was a good size and we never ran out of hot water. The toilet was in a separate room (good size), with another sink, and this was handy when we were all getting ready at the same time. The bedrooms were large, the beds very comfortable, and the linens provided were very nice. In all rooms, there was plenty of storage space, which was a nice surprise. The location was close to two main metro stops and this was very convenient for all of us. The Rue Daval and surrounding streets have many, many restaurants and bars, so there are plenty of places to eat and drink if you prefer not to cook or get on the Metro. The Marais area is lovely and only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. I highly recommend spending some time in the Marais area, both at night and during the day. Lots of restaurants, cafes and some very nice stores and boutiques for shoppers. Literally everything you needed was near this apartment -- bakeries, wine store, creperie, restaurants, bars and a grocery store right around the corner. The Bastille market (literally around the corner) was fabulous and we went every Thursday and Sunday for produce, cheeses, flowers, olives, etc. Wonderful experience and they offered everything you needed and more. The owner and custodian were very welcoming and responsive to any of our questions regarding the appliances and television. All in all, we felt safe and very much at home living in this wonderful apartment. We hated to leave and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Hopefully, we can return to Paris soon and would stay here again. Thank you Isabelle!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We just returned from sharing this charming apartment with another couple for a week, and can't begin to praise it highly enough! The location is ideal, only a block from two different Metro stops, so getting to anyplace in Paris was simple. It was as pictured and described, only better in person, very clean, bright, modern, open. The property manager who welcomed us on arrival was very thorough in explaining the workings of appliances etc to us, and all the instruction books (most in several languages) were available in a cabinet for us to refer to. The beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of closet space, the shower never ran out of hot water, and the washer and dryer worked better than any we've ever experienced in any European rental. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and we cooked and ate several meals with materials we'd bought at the nearby Blvd. Richard Lenoir street market on Sunday and Thursday, where everything you could possibly desire was on offer: meat, fish, beautiful veg and fruit, bread, wine, flowers, prepared food, even jewelry, scarves and clothing (it's one of the best markets in Paris according to many). There are also a fabulous patisserie across the street and a regular boulangerie around the corner, so yummy fresh bread was always available. For non-market days, there is a Monop just around the corner, and lots of restaurants on the surrounding streets (even a quick cheeseburger at Iguana, directly below the apartment, was good for a last minute snack on our way back to the airport!) And if you're truly Starbucks-addicted, there's one around the corner. Coffee at the little bars and cafes close to the market or at the Place de la Bastille is more fun, though. It is an apartment that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all our friends and relatives! Thank you VRBO and Isabelle - you made our visit to Paris very special!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

Hi, I am from India & this was my 3rd trip to Paris. We stayed in this aprtment for 10 days. I must say this is one of the best apartment we have stayed in. Congratulations to the owner. First the area of Bastille is one of the best area in paris to stay. It was very comfortable to find the apartment. We were late but the manager reached on time to check us in. The security is good. Amenities were much better then shown in pictures & we expected. Most of all the aprtament was very clean & best maintained. The kitchen has all what a general traveller may need to feel comfortable home stay. We had a small problem with refund of security as the manager forgot to come on the day of check out but the deposit was refunded safely by Western Union. Best of Luck to SCI LEA & CEDRIC . We travel again & we would like to stay int his property again & again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
