The listing description was accurate regarding the location no problems finding it and it sits right on the gulf as described. What you see is what you get, plenty of room, clean, comfortable and relaxing and incredible sunsets. Manager and owner were very accomodating. So many nice things to do in the area, Naples Zoo, farm markets, restaraunts, golf courses, fishing, shopping and just enjoying the beach. Dolphins and pelicans enjoy putting on shows out on the water and shelling is easy. Hanging out at the Tiki Hut in the evening is just pure "vacation". The weather was beautiful with gentle breezes. Little ones can just dig their hearts out making sand castles and decorating these castles with seashells. The home is set up for comfort and relaxation with plenty of room. Large upstairs kitchen and downstairs a smaller one. The owners were very nice as was the manager who answered all questions and assisted in recommendations of area "must sees". This will be our first choice for vacations in the future - Thank you!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We golf with a group of couples and generally we stay at one of the many resorts in the area where we golf. This year we chose to golf but to stay on the Gulf just for a change of pace. What a great choice, this home was wonderful. The home is close to many golf courses and activities. There is a farm market close by where we picked up fresh fish and vegetables which we cooked while looking out that the gulf coast. The home has two kitchens so it was preparing dinner upstairs while appetizers were made downstairs -very convenient for a large group. Very relaxing for all - drinks or wine at the Tiki Hut to watch the glorious sunset and a post dinner walk on the beach make for a very nice trip for all involved. The home is very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, everything for your stay is provided. Many thanks to the homeowner and manager for making our Golf/Gulf trip so wonderul - our days at staying at the golf resorts are over we will return again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Thinks twice before staying here. Pros: First of all let me say that the views from the house were wonderful and we did see dolphin almost everyday. It is right on the gulf and the beach is clean. Cons:The tiki house is not a place you would ever sit. Chairs are broken down and rusted and we never did find the hammock that was listed in the description of the property. The biggest disappointment for us was the kitchens. The upper kitchen has two working burners. Half of the stove top is a grill which did not heat up. The lower kitchen stove smoked so badly when we turned it on we immediately turned it off. We also found only two lids for pots and pans and the electric skillet was missing the electrical cord. Needless to say cooking for 12 people for the week was a challenge. The upstairs bedroom "queen" bed was the smallest queen I have ever seen. It was more the size of a standard size bed. The lower apartment unit is very outdated and not clean at all. The sliding doors were VERY difficult to open and it smelled musty. The house shows neglect. We have stayed in much nicer homes advertised on VRBODid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/2

Listing description was accurate and the photos reflected the home accurately. The home was clean and well maintained. Renting a pontoon boat was great and saw many dolphins in the back waters. Biking and hiking at Lover's Key was excellent and we saw many manatees. Eating fresh seafood from Rode's market while the sun was setting can't be beat. We would recommend this to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Our family is from the Chicago area and we have been renting vacation homes in and around the Bonita Springs/Naples area for 10 plus years. We stayed the week after Christmas and had such a wonderful time. From the start, the owners were very helpful and accomodating sharing details on the amenities in the home as well as their own recommendations on great restaurants and fun events/spots to hit in close proximity! The home itself is in an excellent location and is very clean, open & spacious. We stayed with another family of five and never felt crowded. The kitchen was very large with a lot of space to prepare and make meals for our large group. The adults and kids loved eating breakfast and lunch out on the decks while watching the dolphins and birds at play along the Gulf. Can't say enough about the views from all three levels of this home--they are absolutely breathtaking with the most gorgeous sunsets at night! We all enjoyed long walks on the beautiful beach where we shelled, played in the water and had enough room and privacy for the guys to play a friendly game of touch football! Jet skiing at Doc's Beach House was an added bonus along with nature walks at Lover's Key State Park -- both within minutes of the beach house. For those who love to take advantage of the fresh catch in the Gulf, Rode's Fish Market/Restaurant is only five minutes up the road. You can eat in or get fresh fish/seafood to go. While we ate out a few times, we actually loved to grill outdoors eating the most delicious fresh fish & seafood from Rode's. We really enjoyed our stay at this beach house and plan to rent again in the future!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Beatiful location, easy to get to. The house was clean and the manager was helpful on most things. It does need some updating and general TCL. There is very little closet space for hanging clothes. But the location and sunsets are hard to beat. J and ARecommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments We are constantly working to improve our property to make it as comfortable a home as possible. In the short time we have owned the home, we have replaced the carpet in the living room/ dining room with beautiful hardwood floors. We also replaced the furniture in those rooms with gorgeous Bernhardt furniture. The lower lever apartment was completely refinished. The kitchens are our next project. Our goal is to continue improving the home without inconveniencing our guests.

We had a wonderful time here. The home is clean and very relaxing. Your every need is covered. The beach is beautiful as are the views. Breakfast on the deck is the perfect way to start the day and heading to the Tiki hut at night to watch the sunset just caps a perfect day. Lots of shelling. Dolphins scoot along the shoreline. Seems to be a pet pelican here that sits on the water off the beach and looks up at the house in the mornings - House Envy from a Pelican? Can't blame him. Really enjoyed our time here. Plenty of golf in the area, shopping, cafes, fresh fish markets, theaters, etc. But to tell the truth we just stayed at the house most of time as it was just to perfect to leave. For sure we will be back. Thank you so much for such a warm, inviting and clean place to relax!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We have been traveling down to Bonita Springs for over 20 years....and are SO happy we found this place to rent. it is so spacious throughout and can accomadate many people with tons of privacy as well. The views are breathtaking to say the least. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in the am while watching dolphins literally right in front of you swimming and playing close to shore. This place is a must see and must rent....it is clean and you simply cannot beat the location. We will rent this home for vacations and family reunions for years to come. We were just here in January, 2011 and will be there again later this year. Don't wait..... you'll regret it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had wonderful weather, beautiful beach, enjoyed the birds, golf and the ocean. Dolphins swim by on a daily basis it seems. House was lovely with a wonderful view of the ocean from all three floors. Master bedroom was so relaxing with the door walls open listening to the waves splash against the shore line. Shelling was also a lot of fun. We will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About: After traveling around the Caribbean and the World we kept returning to Bonita Springs. The beaches here are the cleanest we've ever experienced and the natural unspoiled beauty of this area kept us coming back year after year. Based on our travels, we feel that these beaches are unparalleled. The shelling, birding, fishing and water sports are exceptional and unlike anything we've encountered anywhere else. Ft. Myers International airport provides numerous flights making travel to our house a breeze. The warm waters of the Gulf are extraordinary and the entire area is truly captivating for us and our friends.
Why Private Homes:
Bonita Beach is officially classified as a Tropical Setting and to us feels like you are in the Caribbean. It is quiet and very relaxed yet close to all the amenities and comforts of home. We feel that Bonita Beach is a real treasure. It isn’t overcome with touristy shops. Majestic homes fill the shoreline. It has miles of soft, white sand, great shelling, dolphin sightings, and turtle nesting grounds directly in front of the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It has some of the Best Beaches in Florida (among the ten best according to the Travel Channel and Frommers). Our home is located directly on Bonita Beach between Lovers Key and Barefoot Beach (which are both just a short stroll along the ocean). • Lovers Key State Park has a bird-filled forest of mangroves that leads to a gorgeous, unspoiled beach. The shelling here is excellent. • Barefoot Beach Park (just south of our house) is one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's west coast. It has a 342-acre natural preserve. It's unfettered 8,200 feet of beach and sand dunes is more than a haven for beach bums -- it's the home of the protected gopher tortoise. Swimmers, snorkelers, rafters, kayakers, and windsurfers will appreciate the clear waters right at our door.Stay here and you’ll never have to leave the beach. Nature abounds here and the sunset views are spectacular.
