Our home is on the corner of Kearney and State Route 906, just across the street from Summit Central. It has 5 separate bedrooms (3 with queen beds, 1 with 2 twins and 1 with twin size bunk beds and futon), TV in each bedroom, 3 full baths, a recently renovated, fully equipped kitchen, gas fired fireplace, entertainment center with 55' flat screen, stereo, Nintendo, XBOX, vaulted ceiling in the living room and an amazing view of the mountains. It has a brand new covered deck with hot tub that's accessible from the main floor. Its the perfect ski home in the winter and ideally located to enjoy fishing, hiking and lake boating in the summer and fall.
Snoqualmie Pass is just 50 minutes on I90 from downtown Seattle. Its only 65 minutes from SEATAC airport and easy to get to with a regular rental car! There are 4 ski resorts situated very close together, Summit East, Summit Central, Summit West and Alpental. The house is 800 feet North of the Summit Central main parking lot on State Route 906. The Tubing Center is just on the other side of the main lot. SR 906 is the main road connecting all the Summit Resorts and is the first to get plowed and kept cleared of snow making walking or driving to any of the Summit Resorts a breeze. The Alpental shuttle uses SR 906 to connect the Summits to Alpental Resort and is also easy to get dropped off right in front of the house. Many homes are not on main roads and can become very difficult if not impossible to reach by car during heavy snow fall. Make sure the home you rent is easy to reach even when we get a lot of snow!
All of the Summit Resorts offer great skiing and boarding but for those of you who like more of a challenge, Alpental has some great black diamond and double black diamond runs. Summit Central, across SR 906 from the house, has the most variety with a half pipe, sledding and tubing center, multiple night runs and the highest altitude next to Alpental.
The surrounding area is either Snoqualmie National Forest, Wenatchee National Forest or other US Forest Service land. It is perfect for hiking, camping, fishing and any other exploring. There are several US Forest Service roads throughout the forest if you have the right equipment. Many of the small lakes are stocked with trout and offer great fishing. There are many groomed hiking trails for beginners and experts alike. The John Wayne trail offers great mountain biking and the Forest Service roads offer amazing off road mountain biking for the more experienced. There are numerous small lakes as well as 3 large ones minutes from the house. Keechelus, Kachess, and Cle Elum Lakes are large enough to accommodate ski boats and have easily accessible boat launches. Small towns like Roslyn are minutes away and offer great antiquing and shopping.

A group of 10 of us were comfortably accommodated in the beautiful house. The view outside from the living room was magnificent. Everything from the rooms to the kitchen to the convenient location made this the PERFECT house for our snow trip. The lift at Summit Central is literally a 3-5 minute walk (some people who drove in had to park further than the house is). The rooms and bedrooms are nothing extravagant, but are clean, classy and were more than comfortable for our group of 5 couples. The jacuzzi and deck outside made for an epic hangout spot and BBQ zone, even though the snow that got dumped on us that weekend cam all the way up to the railing! The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and other small items, we didn't have to eat out once in a 4-night stay, saving us tons of money! Everything about this home was great for my family. We had three generations stay, including 6 little kids, who loved piling in the bunk bed room and playing with the video games that were provided. And of course, the convenience of the tube hill and ski lift was perfect to take everyone and play. A couple of the older folks were happy to cruise to the casino for a day, and we all had lots of fun playing board games (also provided) and cooking meals in the fab kitchen. The hot tub was nice, too. I would recommend this property anytime. Mostly because of the coziness and the location. Enjoy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Interesting property. Layout forces a lot of 'togetherness'. Cannot go into a bedroom to read a book or work on your lap top as there are NO CHAIRS OR READING LAMPS in the bedrooms, to say nothing of desks or tables. Strange. Also, no chairs in the living room, just couches and NO READING lamps anywhere. Weather did not cooperate and power went out, but we don't blame the landlord for that. Not the perfect place for 10 folks in the POURING rain for two days. Also too many stairs for older folks.Owner response: Thank you for the note. I think that's a great idea to get some lounge chairs for the bedrooms to create more private spaces for those that want to get away from everyone else in the house. We did put reading lamps on all the nightstands but didn't think about the living room. I think a few lamps there might make it more cozy and wouldn't require the use of all the built in ceiling lights. We purposefully didn't put reading chairs in the living area to create a more open space where everyone in our family can sit and play games or watch TV. Thank you for staying at our home!

My family stayed for a long weekend over the summer for our wedding in North Bend. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. A very spacious, 3 story house with large windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen is updated with all the amenities for preparing all meals. The house is easy to find and close to Snoqualmie's local stores. Plenty of room in the attached garage for all your gear. I could see how well this house would work for a skiing trip in the winter with your large family. I highly recommend this vacation rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: I grew up on Bainbridge and attended University of Washington. I've lived in Virginia, Chicago, and New York but Seattle always pulls me back. My work forces me to travel up and down the West Coast a lot. I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping and flying. I'm a Veteran and love this country but especially this place.
Why the Owner Chose Snoqualmie Pass:
I live in this home during most of the year but my job has recently required me to spend a lot of time in the Bay Area. I didn't intend to rent the house out so it really is set up like a home rather then a cabin. Its very comfortable with real furniture and very comfortable beds. I chose to live in the Pass because of the amazing variety of outdoor activities through out the year. I like being able to access them all without having to 'rough' it at all. I've always loved the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and having a home in Snoqualmie Pass lets me stay close to it.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Its impossible to overstate how convenient this location is. You can easily walk to the lifts at Central and that will let you ski to the other 2 Summit Resorts. You can also catch the shuttle to get to Alpental from the parking lot. The inner tubbing run is on the other side of the central parking lot and also walking distance.
The new covered deck and hot tub makes this a one of a kind mountain get away!
During the summer the Forest Service Roads at Hyak let me go fishing in secluded mountain lakes and streams with a 15 minute drive in my jeep. If you like the outdoors but want the comforts of home, this is the house you need to rent.
