  We had a wonderful 2 week vacation at this property. We have been renting this same house for the past few years and have always had great vacations. Linda and Gerry are great owners to deal with. The house is very spacious, and is always ready for us to move in fir our two weeks. The house lives up to its description. Linda is always a phone call away for whatever we may need. Me and family will be returning next year. Thank you again Linda and Gerry Clauss.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  Good location and lots of space. However, unit was not very clean when we arrived. Spent time cleaning and performing minor repairs the first day. Notified owners of the condition. We were fine with the above for the week given the reasonable rent, but then the owners retained part of the security deposits for items that were damaged prior to our arrival. Really left a bad impression given contact thus far with owners was reasonable. Caution future renters to take inventory of condition of place and items inside.

  Owner response: Mrs. S. I disagree that you reported performing “minor repairs” for there were none. The only thing you did report to us was that the bannister was not clean. Your party damaged our bathroom counter by burning it with a curling iron. I notified you immediately upon your departure of this damage and even sent you pictures of the damage and to be fair I even asked you to check with your party to see if they admitted to burning the marble top. You stated that you would check with them and your email response to us was “Debbie, okay send me a check for the balance at our Fl. address”. This reply confirms that you did cause the damage and admitted to it. I only charged you for the replacement cost. I didn’t even charge you for the cost of labor for the repair. I believe your review is unfair and unwarranted. We take great pride in our home and always inspect/clean/repair the home between rentals.   We rented this for a family get-to-gether with our children and grandchildren who live in 3 different states. There were 14 of us and there was ample space. The townhouse was clean , bright and the kitchen was unbelievably well equipped. Appliances were all new, beds comfortable. It was a convenient location for the beach and boardwalk, restaurants, shops and playground. We liked the pizza from a place in the Acme plaza , the other end of town. There were a couple of good seafood restaurants within walking distance that could accomodate a large group. The 8 beach tags that were included were a nice bonus. Owner was flexible and a pleasure to work with, promptly responding to e-mails when we had a question. This was a very nice place and we wouldn't hesitate to come back to this townhouse another time or recommend it to a friend. Our whole family enjoyed it to the utmost!!!!

  Our entire family had a wonderful time on vacation, enjoying the spaciousness of our unit(s) and the fact that we could all be together. Unfortunately the cleanliness of our unit was less than desirable. This didn't become an issue until we were held responsible for damages we did not cause. My only recommendation to future renters is to take a full inventory of the premises condition as means of protecting yourself and your security deposit.

  Owner response: We are disappointed that this tenant did not enjoy every aspect of her stay. Our goal is to provide a clean house and we always re clean the house after every tenant. After several emails back and forth between us we attempted to resolve this tenants complaints. Anytime a tenant has a reasonable explanation damages and for missing appliances we surely accept them and do not charge for them. Unfortunately in this case the tenants multiple explanations were in conflict with one another. We lowered the charges on some items that were explained. We thought we came to a mutually accepted charge for damages when we did not hear back from the tenant. Our goal is for all our tenants to enjoy their vacation. Unfortunately when there is a large group not everyone reports everything to the head tenant when things happen. We made every attempt to resolve these issues with this tenant. Gerry Clauss

  This is the perfect house for a family with multiple children of any age. We vacationed here with our 5 children ages 16-6 and 3 adults and had plenty of room! Great location for all areas, close to parkway and beach! We had a great time. Not to mention watching the 4th of July fireworks from the deck! Our children were very excited to vacation in this house. It was the one they picked out and we suprised them with this one, Debbie is a great landlord who communicates promptly! It was great there were 8 beach tags provided with the house! We would 100% come back and make this a family tradition house! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  Wonderful house. Was able to accomodate 6 adults and 6 kids easily. Thanks for the high speed Internet, the multiple flat screens, the DVDs and the XBOX. Also the bicycles, beach cart, grill, lots of seating. Would definitely recommend! PVS

  Our extended family of 13 fit beautifully into this spacious, well appointed home. Every amenity, appliance, utensil, or dish you might need was there. The home owner was very cooperative with any request we had. We could walk to the beach, or to the boardwalk, or to a playground. A good grocery store was a short drive away on the island. The weather cooperated and my 3 year old grandaughter said, "Grandmom this is really fun!!!!!" We will try to do this again next year.

  The house was well furnished, exactly as described, large kitchen table for everyone to sit around connecting ot living from and kitchen, great layout for family. everyone in party was very happy. wireless interent worked great. easy walk to beach, between Ocean City and Cape May, Easy to get around. Lease went perfect, Owner communicated great and even gave 3 contact phone numbers (which we never needed). Instructions on fridge made everything easy. Great house for family vacation. Will definitely contact in future for next trip.

  Eleven of us stayed at the house the last week of July 06. Six adults and 5 children all had plenty of room to both spend time together and escape for some privacy. With 3 seperate decks, 3 full bathrooms and 2 master suites there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen, dining area and living room are spacious. The house is nicely maintained, close to beach, within walking distance of most things (which was great for the kids), has plenty of parking and a nice view of the back bays. Take your family and friends and visit here...you'll have a great time!
