My husband and I spent 15 glorious days at this cabin in July of 2011. The cabin is right on the banks of the Narrows between North and South Lake Leelanau. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the view is amazing. Every morning we woke up to the birds singing, a beautiful mist on the water, and the swans swimming up and down the river. The cabin is within a short walking distance of the Village of Lake Leelanau where you can get groceries at N.J.'s, have a great meal at Dick's Pour House (I highly recommend their prime rib or greek pizza), or take a walk across the bridge for some coffee at Pedaling Beans Coffee House. The owners of the cabin were always accommodating, extremely friendly, and looked after our every need including making sure we had propane in the grill to cook our steaks on! We had many enjoyable meals sitting outside on the deck watching the boats cruise up and down the narrows. The owners of the cabin also has pontoon boats, a fishing boat, and even a canoe to rent if you want to experience the water for yourself or try your luck at catching a fish or two. We have already made our reservations for next summer and I expect we'll be coming back for years to come.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
