We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday with a group of friends from the Bay Area and Fort Worth, Texas. The house and grounds were perfect. The homeowner was great in connecting us with her network of support in and knowledge of the Napa Valley - from her vineyard owner friends, to VIP transportation, to great places to shop...making us feel like lifetime locals. We stayed just three days - but felt it wasn't enough...this would be a great place to return with the whole family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Our extended family of 10 spent Christmas together. Ages 7 to 77, we were all comfortable and happy. With both a den and a living room there was plenty of space to spread out. Thinking ahead about Christmas, the owners kindly set up a real tree and left decorations for us! Wonderful! The tennis court is new and very well-kept. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking a turkey with all the fixings. We couldn't have had a better vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

A HUGE thank you for the wonderful stay we enjoyed at SCH! Our group of six could not have felt more comfortable and pampered. We indulged in the most magnificent tomatoes(everyone said were the best they'd had since childhood)! And though we learned they're "pests"..it was fun to have turkeys and deer wander the property. Photos cannot accurately capture the incredible views and the firepit was a nightly ritual! Thank you, also, for the recommendations of Porter Winery (we are now very proud members) and NVVIP limo (Deanna was FANTASTIC!). We so appreciated the property manager's (Karen) responsiveness to a minor dishwasher issue. It was no big deal at all, but we simply didn't want the leak to get out of hand. Karen quickly secured a tech to remedy the situation. And ooohhh...that amazing toffee she left as a surprise treat!! Jessica, the housekeeper, also caters and her Mexican meal was outstanding and much enjoyed. We all went home a little heavier than we began, but happy all the same!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

The house is amazing for a group/family visit to Napa Valley. The location is perfect and the layout of the house welcomes great socializing among the group. The outdoor space is ideal for BBQ, sitting around the fire, and relaxing in the Napa Sun. The location of the house allows you to easily visit the wineries along the Silverado Trail in north Napa Valley. Be sure is visit the Porter Family Vineyards located roughly 100yds from the house. Amazing house! Can't wait to rent again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Stagecoach House was more than we had hoped for. The family room, kitchen, and bedrooms were so welcoming. The linens and beds were so comfy too! The outdoor spaces(tennis, basketball, and bocce ball courts) were in great shape and so was the equipment. We grilled and ate outside under the the pretty arbor, then watched the sunset and the stars come lounging out on the nice patio while enjoying the day's wine purchase. My husband and I hosted our 2 daughters and their husbands and we had an ongoing bocce ball tournament for the whole week which made for great fun. We visited so many cool places in Napa and San Francisco which were all very easy driving access from the house. The owners started us off with a bottle of wine from the vineyards on the property which was so good, that we took a tour of that winery(this was also recommended by the home owners). It was the Robinson Family Winery and the tour was so personal and informative plus the great wine that we think we made a great new discovery! The property is so beautiful with the vineyards, flowers, pond, and arbors. We took walks in the morning and played tennis or bocce ball in the evening. It was a great house for our family and the owners were very accommodating!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Multigenerational family vacation at the Stage Coach House

Our family had a very special vacation at The Stage Coach House. Our ages span 2 to 70 and it worked for all. Our dog loved romping through the grounds and swimming in the pond (which required a lot of hosing off and tick checks). We ate our meals outside when possible and cooked and drank and ate to our hearts content. The serious athletes found great runs to take on the country roads and the more relaxed of us walked the grounds and occupied the hammock. We had great basketball and bocce ball games filled with the requisite bravado. The owners/manager made sure our stay was comfortable. We enjoyed remarkable restaurants and wineries all built around a Yountville wedding that we all attended. We thought the setting at the Stage Coach House was lovelier than the hotel grounds they chose for the ceremony!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

What a beautiful home - the pictures online do not really fully illustrate the character of the house or the grounds. We came out for a 40th birthday celebration, and 7 of us had no problem fitting and sleeping comfortably in the house. Outside, there is so much to do - we ate outside every night (and enjoyed a delicious mexican feast prepared by the housekeeper who was kind enough to accommodate us!), and there are beautiful gardens and vineyards to wander through. Not to mention the bocce ball court and basketball court. The manager was wonderful to work with, and the owners really make you feel like you're being welcomed into their home -- there are plenty of amenities that most rental properties don't have, like nice towels, a stocked kitchen, and a vegetable garden. We will definitely be back!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Seven girlfriends and myself got together and planned a long awaited girls trip/wine tasting week. We were so happy with the house!! The outdoor spaces are amazing. Gorgeous gardens, paths, and plenty of areas to sit and dream of owning your own place in Napa (a girl can dream, right?) We played tennis on the pristine courts, a wicked fun Bocce tournament, and lots an lots of wine tours. We had more than enough room - we could have had a couple more friends. The house is spacious, clean and pretty. Every detail reflects wine country. The location was very good - we were able to go easily to restaurants all over the valley conveniently. Great are to take walks, watch the amazing sunsets, and take life a little more slowly than usual! I would recommend for families (the rooms are colorful and cheerful), and adults alike. The tennis and Bocce made it more than just a launching pad for wine tours. At times we didn't want to leave. The kitchen is has everything you need to have make a wonderful meal. Oh, one more pleasant surprise - there is a charming little pond that has a dock, a little row boat and life jackets! Monet could have painted this setting!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
