Perfect weekend

Guest: Danny & Sue (Henderson, Nevada)
Date of Stay: 04/13/12 Review Submitted: 04/30/12

We had an amazing time, the condo was relaxing and inviting with all the "comforts of home." We have rented other condos in the past but this has been our favorite. With a game room and jacuzzi just steps away and a walk out balcony for grilling, difinately is a step up from the rest. We will be back!

Owner response:Our guests feeling at home is what we hope to achieve. Remember our 4 ski free passes that come with your rental during ski season. Book early. Glad you enjoyed yourselves, we hope you come back soon.

Wonderful Week - from our Guest Book

Guest: Brian, Laurie, Jack, Danny and Andy. Valencia, CA
Date of Stay: 04/01/12 Review Submitted: 04/15/12

We had a wonderful week in Brian Head as always! ... We LOVE your home!! We enjoy all of the sports equipment on the walls immensely...my boys were especially impressed with the snuffer and surfer ad. Our youngest 10 and 12 claimed the loft "bachelor pad" and loved staying up there. We all love the backlit window scenes-so much attention to detail and comfort. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Brian Head home with us! ...Hope to come back soon

Very nice unit

Guest: John L (Buckeye, AZ)
Date of Stay: 03/20/12 Review Submitted: 04/11/12

We found the condo very roomy, very clean, and very comfortable. Well heated. The beds were not quite as nice as our Tempurpedic at home, but nice enough for a good night's sleep after a day of skiing. Plenty of cookware. Nice wrap-around back porch with a BBQ on it. Only had to walk about 25 yards to be able to ski to Giant Steps lift. Coming back at the end of the day one can ski right to the entrance. There is no dumbwaiter in this building so you will be schlepping your bags and gear to the third floor. The Rose's were very nice and very accommodating. I can recommend this unit.

Owner response:Glad you enjoyed yourself. A dumbwaiter may be in our not too distant future...I'm certainly hoping.

Our family had a great time in Brian Head. It is the perfect resort for young kids to learn to ski. Everything went well!

Owner response:Glad you enjoyed that great Utah fresh powder. The upstairs area is perfect for kids or a second family. We look forward to your return visit.

Wonderful experience

Guest: Kate (San Diego)
Date of Stay: 02/17/12 Review Submitted: 02/21/12

The condo was great and what a bonus to get 4 ski passes included. The kids really enjoyed the upstairs loft space -- an added perk. The condo was clean, well-appointed, and all contacts with the owner were both friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Owner response:The ski passes are a real bonus we provide for our renters, saving them over $200/day on lift tickets. Glad you enjoyed your trip. We'd love to have you back and returning guests receive a 10% discount. Thanks for taking the time to submit a review.

A Welcoming & Inviting Home

Guest: Rachel (Kapolei, HI)
Date of Stay: 01/16/12 Review Submitted: 01/23/12

First, I have to say that the condo was definitely larger than it looked in the pictures. We had more than enough space for the 3 couples that stayed for our 2 day vacation. After looking at snow reports we were worried that there wouldn't be any snow, especially since there was no snow at the bottom of the mountain. As luck would have it, there was more than enough snow and the condo is so conveniently located next to the slopes for easy access there was no need to drive anywhere for the whole 2 days! There was even a little play area for the kids to sled right next to the condos. We all enjoyed ourselves so much that we may take another trip for next snow season. Mahalo Nui Loa Cathy & Dan!!!

Owner response:Sounds like a great trip. Glad you enjoyed the accommodations. Hope you have a good trip back to Hawaii...and I wish I was going with you :)

Great Home for Two Families

Guest: TheAllens (San Diego)
Date of Stay: 12/18/11 Review Submitted: 12/24/11

We just returned from an EPIC ski vacation with friends. We both have two children and this turned out to be a great rental for us. The apartment is actually bigger than it looks in the photos and the place has a very homey, family feel. The ski in/ski out feature is priceless for a family. When a couple people get cold, hungry or hear nature's call, they simply ski to the back door and come back out when they're ready. It really helps to keep everyone happy. The kitchen isn't huge and the appliances aren't in tip-tip shape (one of the burners was out on the stove, the ice maker doesn't work, the garbage disposal guard is missing and you have to cover the drain with a plate when you run it) but there's plenty of pots and pans and other kitchen implements and the larder is well stocked with spices. There's a nice eating area in the living room, but the chairs are circa 1980s and some of the wheels fall off when you sit down. For eight people, you need to bring in the lounger from the living room and someone has to sit on the foot stool. Time for an upgrade here. The best part of this home is the layout. The downstairs bedrooms both have bathrooms/showers and are about the same size. Nice for splitting between two sets of parents. The showers work well and the owners are very nice to provide soaps and shampoos and nice towels and warm flannel linens. There are TVs in all the rooms (though we didn't turn them on once--too much fun playing games, again, thanks for supplying so many) and a really nice flat screen in the living room. Upstairs, it's kid heaven. They have their own little apartment, once again with full bath/shower. It has a sitting area with a couple of comfy couches and two queen beds. They even had a microwave and coffee maker and there was a basket of microwaveable popcorn, coffee, etc. It's a great little hangout that the kids loved. Other great features include a jacuzzi, sauna, game room in the adjoining building without the need to go outside, a barbeque on the deck that works great with a couple Daddy-chillin-with-a-beer chairs at the ready, a big equipment room with built in ski and board racks, underground parking, and, of course, 4 Freedom Passes. Overall, even though there's some maintenance needed in the kitchen/dining room, this was a great family ski apartment with a very warm, welcoming feel. We'd definitely return.

Owner response:Ski trips are the best and the 4 ski free passes save families $200/day. There are folding chairs in the downstairs closet that allow you to accommodate 8 people at the table, as well as the bar stools next to the table. We will look into the repair issues, thanks for letting us know. The upstairs area is unique to our unit and a great place for the kids to have fun. Sometimes it is nice to leave the TV off and we provide lots of games to enjoy. There are movies and cable TV for those families who want it. Thanks for taking the time to review our property.

Thanks for the wonderful time! It's such a cute place. The upstairs is the easiest place to get comfortable and I like all the old fashioned sports wear on the wall. Everybody enjoyed it a bunch. P.S. It brought back many great memories, and we're from Mendon, Salt Lake and Logon.

Wonder place to stay

Guest: Linda (Montana)
Date of Stay: 10/14/11 Review Submitted: 10/19/11

I live in Billings Montana and my siblings live in Colorado. We decided to do a road trip to all the parks in Utah. This condo was centrally located to all the parks. The condo was charming. We had a wonderful time in Utah. The big plus was the owners were wonderful to work with. Thanks for all your help.

Owner response:Sounds like a great trip. Nearby Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park are part of Southern Utah's Color Country and are truly majestic places to visit. We're glad you enjoyed the condo, we try to provide everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Your trips inspires me to plan a family getaway. Thanks.

What a blessed abode

Guest: Cynthia D.
Date of Stay: 09/30/11 Review Submitted: 01/10/12

This condo served as my home away from home for three months off and on. There wasn't one thing that I could have wanted for. This beautifuly appointed condo provided three couples absolute comfort and convenience. I wasn't there during the ski season but there was plenty of snow and wind, and the condo stayed cozy and warm. This is definitely the only place I will stay on my return trips to Brian Head, Utah. Thank you again Cathy and Dan, you have a beautiful place.

Owner response:We always want our guests to feel like our condo is their home away from home. We're glad you enjoyed your stays. Hope to see you back again soon.

Guest: John, Liz and the girls
Date of Stay: 04/22/11 Review Submitted: 11/20/11

One of the best family Easter's we've had. One sunny Spring day and then two snowy days. Great skiing and accommodations. Our girls said it is better than Disneyland! Thanks so much, we absolutely love your place. Last day of season was filled with powder. Awesome skiing until the end of the day inspired us to stay another night for hot tub, game room fun and family movie. So much fun!!

AWESOME condo in brianhead!!!!!

Guest: The snow crew (las vegas)
Date of Stay: 01/24/11 Review Submitted: 01/30/11

This condo is perfect for a nice trip to the mountain. We spent 3 nights there and LOVED it. it was right off of a run and next to the lift. It was VERY CLEAN!!!!!! and the pictures are exactly what you get so no bad surprises! It really does have everything you need to cook with. We made every meal the whole time we were there. (we brought our food with us, store in town is a little high if you were to actually buy enough food for a whole meal) there was plenty of room and seating at the dinner table and bar/kitchen area. The decor is fun. def makes you feel like you are in a cabin on a snowy mountain with all the old winter sport memorabilia on the walls. Always had hot water even when we all took showers back to back in the mornings. The grill on the deck is a def. plus! we had burgers for lunch and it was so nice to look at the snowy mountain while grilling out on on the deck in the sun. The 4 freedom passes that come with this condo is one of the best parts, along with the ski closet to put all of your snowy wet stuff when you come in for the day. We all loved the keyless entry to the condo so no one had to worry about losing keys! Reserving the condo was so easy and the owner Cathy is very nice and a pleasant person to do business with. WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN AND WE ARE ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF ANOTHER TRIP IN FEB... this is the best place hands down to stay in Brianhead!!!

Owner response:Thanks for the kind words. We look forward to your return visit. Cathy

We highly recommend this condo and can't wait to plan another trip. The owners are very accommodating and gracious hosts.

Nicely Decorated with ALOT of room

Guest: Sammons Family (San Diego, CA)
Date of Stay: 12/26/10 Review Submitted: 01/06/11

We stayed between Christmas and New Year and had a great time! All the conveniences of home which made meals easy. LOVED the ski in and out location! Right by the lift with the big slopes! Perfect location! Plenty of room so a great place to stay if you have 6+ people. The ski closet is awesome with the boot warmer! All the wet stuff is there instead of all over the condo!

Owner response:Glad you had a great time. Hope you enjoyed the usage of 4 Freedom passes that allow 4 people to ski free when they rent our condo. When we turned the upstairs loft into a suite style area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, TV and DVD/VCR combo, 2 queen beds and a full bath, we had the comfort of families in mind. It's a great area for a couple or all the kids to hang and relax. This layout is unique to our unit. The ski closet is another unique feature of our Giant Steps accommodation. We strive to provide everything our guests might need to enjoy their stay. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Guest reviews are important to other potential renters.

We drove in from Las Angeles with our 3 children (age 17, 20 and 22) and our foreign exchange student (age 16). We had never been to Brian Head. WE LOVE IT. It snowed every day, but we still had many days of skiing and snowboarding before there was a white out. We played in the snow and enjoyed the hot tub. We played lots of cards and games and watched movies. We had a wonderful, relaxing time as a family before 2 of our kids head back to college. This condo was perfect for our family vacation. We definitely want to come back. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful condo. Merry Christmas. OWNER COMMENT: We try to keep movies and games for the whole family to enjoy. Glad you had fun with our collection.

Condo is GREAT!! Perfect location, has everything you need and it's very CLEAN!! A nice get away from the busy Vegas life, we had a great time!!! Everyday was sunny and about 40 degrees with not much wind. Small dusting of snow on one night made waking up to white trees refreshing coming from the brown desert. Can't wait to come back, we are already looking at the calendar for next month. Thank you.

Hi Cathy – We had an absolutely wonderful time at your condo at Brian Head. We have been trying to think of what would improve our vacation and we really can’t come up with anything. You had everything we needed at the condo. The ski passes and ski closet were a blessing. Location was ideal. Underground parking was a huge plus. We have friends that would love to join us next time. We’re wondering if your neighbors rent their places as well? We look forward to doing this trip again. Thanks so very much –

Hi Danny, Yes, in fact, it very much met our expectations. All of us were very pleased! Yes, the location was perfect. In fact, once we got the fireplace running, we barely had to use the floor heaters since we were on the third floor! Travel time to the slopes was perfect! And the best thing about the whole weekend is that there was no one there - for some reason. It was great! The extra keys were also a great benefit as well. And overall, the place was in great shape! We will be keeping the info for next year. We go there every MLK weekend, so expect to hear from us!! Thanks again for everything. Take Care. Walt and Lisa H.

Roomy condo

Guest: Jeannie&Billy (Weston, Florida, USA)
Date of Stay: 12/01/07 Review Submitted: 02/11/08

We had a really great stay at this condo in Brian Head. The owners were easy to work with, and we really love the lock box idea, no worry about anyone losing or forgetting their keys. We were pretty early in the season, the beginning of December, so we were really afraid there wouldn't be enough snow. We worried for nothing as we got plenty. The roads were kept really clear though so it was easy to get around. We really appreciated the underground parking and were always able to park right next to the stairs that went straight up to your unit. The location was great. The accommodations were great, very roomy, comfortable and clean. The pictures give a very accurate description. The fully stocked kitchen cabinet was a lifesaver at times. We had a really great time. One warning though, the little local market is pretty overpriced and the town closes early, so if you can pick up some things before you get into town it would be to your advantage. We will definitely be back! Thanks again.

Owner response:Brian Head is growing in a most exciting way. New slopes have opened this year. There are a variety of programmed activities both winter and summer. The road crews are exceptional in keeping the snow plowed. The local stores are best suited for forgotten items as they tend to be pricey. To make your stay more pleasant the fully stocked kitchen includes a variety of non perishable sundries. We love repeat business and offer a repeat customer discount. Brian Head also makes a great summer getaway. The temperatures are fabulous and at 10,000 feet up you're miles away from your worries.

Dear Dan & Cathy, We loved our stay in your condo. It was a great place. We loved the decor and of course the beauty of Brian Head. It was a wonderful stay and all was well. There is absolutely nothing I would change. Although because of the nature of summer games, extended hours of operation for the clubhouse during that week would have been great. Perhaps this is something your condo management could look into for the week of summer games. Many times we could have used the hot tub for aching muscles if it would have been open earlier and later. But we stilll loved our stay. Thanks again. Dave and Nancy Rowell & family

Wow, what a difference fron Vegas... and yet so close. We had a magnificient time. Our small group throughly enjoyed the surroundings, decor and solitude in which to get rejuvenated. Everything worked well. The directions were great. Our only hiccup was the CD player which reminded us of a true student. It didn't follow directions and it needs remediation as it doesn't read well. We rather thought it had a mind of its own as it played when it was ready and not when requested. I will definitely keep your address close at hand for any other time that we need a getaway.

Owner response:Glad you had a good time Sara and thank you for thinking of us for your next get away. Thanks also for the heads-up regarding the CD player. We'll replace it right away. Dan & Cathy Rosenfield

We always have an outstanding time and the accommodations are excellent. Please let me know if your home is available on these dates. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Jeff Van Fossen El Segundo, CA Hi Jeff, We'd love to have you back again. The Unit is available and good news, the jacuzzi in the main clubhouse is a brand new larger unit. They totally remodeled it and made it a nice room. I'll block the dates for you. We'll hold the same rate as last year. Danny

Hi Cathy and Dan, Just a little note to let you know that all went well and we had a wonderful time! The little snow storm left wonderful snow on Sunday, but Friday and Saturday skiing and boarding were great also. Your place is very comfortable, well "stocked" with food items, and we all felt like home. This has been our 5th year in a row at Brianhead for the holiday weekend and by far your place has been the best. I just wish Palm Desert was a little closer - we'd be there more often and would probably buy something! Hopefully, we can put together another President's Day Weekend trip next year and perhaps your place will be available. Thanks again for sharing your home with us. I heard you had fresh snow on Sunday, that fine powder is a special Utah treat. We hope you have the opportunity to return next year. If you don't mind, we'd love to post your comments on our website. Please let me know if that would be okay. Once again, we had a wonderful time! Mary

Hello Dan & Cathy, We had a great time in Brian Head, got some skiing experience, getting better, only crashed twice. Sunday afternoon it started snowing , I would say it snowed at least 12"?? Thanks for the use of the condo, it was really nice to walk from Giant Steps and have lunch or take a break. The manager there is really great, went to the jacuzzi and he came a chatted with us, he really keeps and good eye on the place. The sauna was down, I will look forward to that next time. I will go online later and echo this in the feedback section area for your condo. We plan to go back soon, just don't know when yet, when I do I will check to see if your condo is available. Thank You.................................John

Happy New Year! And Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo. It worked very well for us, we had a wonderful week, something we have to worry about when we go the first week of the year. Snow Sunday and Monday, then sunshine the balance of the week with no people and no lines. Hopefully we can rent your condo again some time in the future. Thanks again, have a wonderful 2006 and we hope to share with you again. Gus Collin

From: Harmony Bischof Date: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 3:18 PM To: Dan Rosenfield Subject: Brian Head stay 1/7-14/05 Dear Dan and Cathy I tried to put feed back in your guestbook at your web site but it would not accept our Email so I could not go through with it. I would like to let you know how great our stay was. This is the Third year our family has gone up to Brian Head and all three years we stayed in Giant Steps. This condo was by far the best we have rented. The layout of the rooms and beds fit our large family perfectly. I will try at a later time to sign your guest book. I do not know whether the problem was on my side or at the web site. Thank you so much, Suzanne Bischof __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Hey I just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time and could not remember if I had already contacted you. We got fresh snow but the heat did not let it last more than a few days….all in all a wonderful family trip.I think I cracked a rib though…I may be too old for snowboarding… Thanks again. cj

----- Original Message ----- From: Paul Rippens To: Danny Rose Sent: Friday, March 05, 2004 10:23 AM Subject: Condo in Brianhead Danny and Cathy - As an avid group of skiers, you'd think that a weekend of being snowed in at the "Head" would've been a disaster. Au contraire. Being snowbound at your place was sublime. The space is fantastic - great layout, fully equipped, and clean as the driven snow (metaphor intended). It takes a special place to make a skier forget about skiing. And you have a very special place. Thank you. We loved it. Paul, Jeffrey, Terry, Eugene and Stan.

To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to express my thanks for a wonderful weekend I enjoyed at your Condos. I stayed with a group of friends at the Giant Steps condos on the weekend of January 10. I was impressed by the size of the suite - high ceilings, loft area, ample living space, all made for a very comfortable respite from a day on the hill, even for a group of eight. I especially liked the fireplace (very toasty!) and balcony grill, both of which we took full advantage. We had everything we needed at our disposal (we forgot to bring mustard, and it was provided in the fridge!). Towels and paper items were in ready supply, as were bath and cleaning items. Our host, Danny Rose, was very accurate in saying that all we'd need to bring would be our food... All in all the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and roomy, with copious amounts of extras that made my stay even more pleasant. This was the first time for me to stay at a ski resort, and I now appreciate the convenience of being able to walk a few yards between the lifts and my room. It was great! And I had a great time on the slopes as well. The conditions were just about perfect and a great time was had by all. I would definitely recommend staying at the Condos at Brian Head. It was a great experience that left me wanting to extend my stay. Please forward my compliments to your staff at the Giant Steps condos and ski lodge. I hope to enjoy a stay there again sometime soon... Best Regards, P. Batallia Schadler Kramer Group Advertising
