    We stayed at Casa Micheltorena for four nights - and wish it could have been longer. Laura and her husband were there to greet us and show us around. A charming and very informed couple, with plenty of tips about Santa Barbara life. The bottle of chilled cava waiting for us was especially welcome. We enjoyed it in the garden. The house is perfect with luxurious finishing touches - the kitchen a cook's dream. The garden is a lush retreat - a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Santa Barbara weather. We highly recommend a stay at this VRBO. It is one of the only places we've stayed where the photos do not do the home justice. Dianna and David, Brussels, Belgium

    My girlfriends and I stayed here for my birthday weekend a few weeks ago and the place was absolutely perfect! Laura and Robert have truly thought of every little thing and make you feel right at home the moment you step in the door. The house is absolutely beautiful and the backyard will make you want to move there. No joke! Every room has its' own special amenities but Laura and Robert have made the house feel homey with their special touches. In addition, they were readily available to help with anything we needed and were so helpful when it came to recommendations about places to go around town. I would absolutely recommend Casa to anyone looking for a place to stay in SB and I will definitely be back! Thanks again to Laura & Robert for making my birthday the best ever. :)

    had a wonderful stay in this close to everything home - a beautiful private back yard with lovely landscape and exactly as pictured. the beds were super comfy and each bedroom had its own access to the back yard. internet access and the kitchen is fully stocked with what you need to prepare meals at home - we had a wonderful time and the owners were attentive and kind.

    My boyfriend and I stayed at this wonderful home in April 2011. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and close to everything, yet feels private and tropical, especially the backyard (hot tub)!! The owners were gracious and accommodating, they gave us locals tips and info about things to do in Santa Barbara. It was just the vacation we hoped for and we will definitely be back!

    We cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Micheltorena. When we arrived there in March we were warmly greeted by Laura. She took the time to go through all aspects of the house. It was such a pleasure to deal with someone as inviting as her. The house was impeccable. Its a fairly small house but the space is used very well. The appliances and furnishings were all top notch! We especially enjoyed the backyard and the hot tub. Nothing was spared in making this home a perfect getaway. The house is within a mile to State Street so it is definitely walkable to everything SB has to offer. A short distance further and you are down at the beach and pier. The week we were there, southern California experienced the worst rain storms they have seen in years. We were certainly glad we had such a great place to wait out the rain all week. We highly recommend this house for anyone looking to stay close to everything in SB. We cannot wait to go back again next year!! Tom, Veronica, Scott, MaryLou

    I stayed at this gorgeous Casita in March 2011. What a beautiful, well maintained property! I would, and have, recommended it to my friends. The house was spotless and the owners warm and welcoming. I'm planning to stay there again later this year.

    Surprise Valentines Day getaway and I was impressed. My boyfriend lived in Santa Barbara, and we come a few times a year. Staying at Casa Micheltorena made us feel like we had our own little home. It is beautifully decorated and furnished, the kitchen and bathrooms were beautifully done. It was perfect in every way. We particularly loved the hot tub! It was a well maintained property and the owners were exceptionally helpful and nice!

    This house is quintessential Santa Barbara! I loved my visit at this house...it has high quality *everything* and the house was wonderfully set up. Not to mention the great location, close to the beach, Lazy Acres Market, and great restaurants. I was there in February 2011 and can't wait to come back!

    My husband and I have stayed in many vacation rentals, mainly in northern California, and the places have often fallen short of our expectations. But this one is our favorite, and it makes us want to keep returning. When we weren’t out and about in downtown, the beach or the harbor, all of which were easy to reach via the town shuttle which stops nearby, we were enjoying Casa Micheltorena. We knew there were many trendy restaurants we could have indulged in, but we took advantage of the super kitchen and dined al fresca in the quiet secluded tropical gardens in the backyard? Very romantic when you also consider the large hot tub in perfect working order, outdoor heat lamp, and personal terry robes. Highly recommended!

    Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

    Santa Barbara is an amazing place! 70 degrees in January!!! We just got back to NYC and I am already missing Casa Micheltorena. What a great place!!! Beautiful backyard, comfortable layout. The owners were extremely accommodating and easy to deal with. Everything was as described. Would definitely recommend. A++

    On my first trip to Santa Barbara, we could not have stayed in a more beautifully-appointed residence. It felt luxurious within a stylish Spanish feel. The owners paid attention to all the important details from the comfort of the beds to the restaurant-quality kitchen. The weather was also extremely cooperative and we used the hot tub each day of our visit. The elegance and privacy along with the easy accessibility to everything we wished to do made this the perfect place to stay and discover Santa Barbara's treasures. I can't recommend this home highly enough.

    My partner and I stayed at this property and were very impressed with the luxury of the home and the incredible beauty of the gardens. A lovely hot tub was used every night. The kitchen is outstanding....restaurant type fixtures and wonderful to prepare fine food in. We had a fabulous weekend and can highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to experience luxury and comfort in Santa Barbara.

    We are so happy we discovered this casita! It's absolutely charming and ideally situated, close to everything - beaches, restaurants, shopping, night life - and beautifully appointed. The owners are accommodating and easy to work with. I wouldn't change one thing! We had a great trip and will definitely return.

    This is undeniably one of the most beautiful properties on the Westside. It appears that the home was recently rebuilt/remodeled and that the owners spared no expense in the reconstruction. While the home is not large, it is extremely well designed for complete functionality and enjoyment. The backyard is absolutely stunning, and fully fenced with mature landscaping so it feels like your own private retreat. The home also is just a short bike ride to the beach, or a nice stroll to downtown. This is truly the perfect luxury vacation rental and a stark contrast to other options vacation rental options in this price range
