BEARTRAP RANCH is a custom ranch home built by a former outfitter and master stone mason. The home has been ever evolving through Gary's vision over the years. It is approx 3500 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Features include: two fireplaces, waterfall wet sauna, game room, trophy room /bar area with big screen TV, weight room, living/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. The home boasts custom stone floors and rock work throughout, as well as Gary's hunting memorabilia. There are two patio areas that include, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, and plenty of seating to catch the views. Plus enjoy the stocked pond for fishing!
EXECUTIVE SUITE also available for smaller groups. This is a totally renovated two bedroom, one bath suite with a private office and open concept livng/dining/kitchen. Rustic cabinetry complimented with all new appliances, new lighting, new floors, and tiled bathroom. The spacious bathroom includes two vanities and two toilets for privacy and convenience, plus a skylight for natural lighting. Huge private deck offers wonderful seasonal views and space for entertaining or just relaxing. The suite will sleep up to six people which includes two on a hide-a-bed.

What a beautiful state to visit -- and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. We spent 7 days in the Executive Suite -- just the two of us, so the size was perfect, but could have easily handled 6 adults. It was warm, but the air conditioning was wonderful to come home to at night. The photos are very good indicators of exactly what you get -- very well described. Thank you, Gary, for being a very good host and sharing your home with us. We appreciated your suggestions of what to see and do in the area, and your availability and inquiry to if we needed anything. We felt right at home and cooked many of our own meals. The deck and grill were used by us daily. The view of the Beartooth Mountains from the deck -- and the sunsets were just what we needed. Did I mention the fishing was good? And the horses were eating apples and carrots right from our hands by the end of the week. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, Gary's home fits the bill. We already know we want to come back again, and have recommended his place to our family and friends. The parade and rodeo on the 4th of July is great fun too -- the Bull n Bear Bar and Grill has live music, and don't miss the pig races at Bearcreek, and so much to see and do in the Red Lodge area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

From the date of my arrival until the day of my departure, the Beartrap Ranch met all of my expectations. The cowboy/owner was available to answer any questions and give suggestions as to entertainment in the area. It's proximity to Cody, Wy. as well as the quaint town of Red Lodge makes this location perfect for visiting local venues. The home is a spectacular example of the owner's vision and artistry with stone. There was lots to do at the ranch from horse back riding, to relaxing in the hot tub, to playing in the game room. The master bedroom boasts the most spectacular view to wake up to. I loved the patio and the view of the Beartooth Mountains! What a great place to get to know Montana. I can't wait to go back and plan to visit again in the near future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: BEARTRAP RANCH owner, Gary Bramble, is the owner and caretaker of the ranch since he built it in 1994. Gary is a master stone mason and past recipient of the Craftsman of the Year Award. He is a former outfitter and has traveled to several countries during his hunting days.
