My sweet dream
Charming apartment fully air conditioned in the best neighborhood of Paris
The Apartment
This apartment, almost 25 meters square is ideally situated between the Louvre museum, the Jardin des Tuileries (Tuileries garden), the Place Vendome (Vendome Square) and rue Saint-Honoré. It was entirely remodeled in July 2010 to offer you all the comfort you deserve: air conditioning, visible beams, raw oak hardwood floors, a raw jade bathroom, Starck furniture, thick soft carpeting, Farrow and Ball paintings, a private stairwell and landing…
At 3 Rue d’Alger (Alger street), you pass the porch of this beautiful Parisian building and your apartment awaits you at the back of the courtyard. Take the windowed elevator to the sixth floor and you will find a small private door, you only have to walk up a few steps to arrive home.
The apartment, completely air-conditioned, opens onto a fully equipped kitchen (dish washer, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, grill, Nespresso coffee machine, water boiler, electric stove top). What a pleasure it is to enjoy breakfast around a bistro table and chairs designed by Philippe Starck!
Further on, you will discover a hallway with a dressing room (wardrobe and shelves) through which you will reach your bedroom, bathed in light thanks to the skylight. On the back wall, an enormous fresque painting, by the famous Parisian painter Pierre Gogois, delves you into a poetic atmosphere: the edges of the Seine and the concierge will softly rock your nights all along your stay.
You sleep in a queen size bed (160 m x 200 cm—it is possible to have two separate beds). Under the slanted roof, enjoy a cozy corner to read and dream.
You also dispose of a beautifully decorated bathroom with a shower in brut jade that has calming virtues. The sink is equipped with Italian cascading faucets, in which the water changes colors with the temperature. The water closet is independent and disposes of a small sink.
For high tech aficionados, know that in the apartment you will find a flatscrean TV with an integrated DVD player (cable channels), Stereo sound system with cd player, mini laptop and a wifi connection.
The neighborhood
You are two steps away from everything… there is no better situation in Paris! At your feet the Musée du Louvre (Louvre museum), the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (museum of decorative arts), the Seine river and its barges, the place du Marché Saint-Honoré (Saint-Honoré Marquet square) and its trendy restaurants. Without forgetting la place de la Concorde (Concord square) and place Vendôme (Vendome square) (with its jewlers), decorated with a column from the top of which reigns a statue of Napoleon.
You will have only to cross rue Rivoli to go for a walk in the Tuilleries garden. What a joy to go there on a morning run or to stroll along the basins, designed by André Le Notre, Louis XVI’s gardener, to whom we most notably owe the gardens of the Versaills Castle.
Rue d’Alger is framed by rue de Rivoli on one side and rue Saint Honoré on the other. A true barometer for Parisian trends, this street is a true landmark for everything relating to fashion in Paris: Et vous, Joseph, BCBG Max Azira, Jimmy Choo, Sandro, Maje, Manoush, Maison de Famille, Vilbrequin, Zadig et Voltaire, Claudie Pierlot, Jérôme Gruet, Chantal Thomass, Bonpoint, Baby Tuileries, Zegna... without forgetting Colette, the hippest boutique in Paris, only two minutes from your home.
A few streets away, you can stroll in the gardens of the Palais-Royale, a flowering restful sanctuary. Going up l’avenue de l’Opéra, you discover l’Opéra Garnier, one of the most beautiful monuments of the capital. And there you are, near the « grands magasins » : Printemps et Galeries Lafayette, two temples for shopaholics.
Save some energy to visit the Centres Georges Pompidou- Beaubourg, the third most visited monument in Paris after the Eiffel tower and the Louvre museum. An essential landmark of modern art. You will conclude your visit to the museum by admiring the typical Parisian zinc roofs from Georges restaurant all the way at the top.
The most gourmet among you will be lured by the palace restaurants that surround you: le Ritz, l’hôtel Meurice, le Park Hyatt, le Crillon, l’Hôtel Costes, all this less than 10 minutes walk away. And why not take a cocktail class at the Park Hyatt bar.
At your feet, you dispose of a crowd of excellent and welcoming resturantes that you must try: Ferdi, le Pinxo, le Royal Madeleine & Chez Flottes, two true french « brasseries » to savor true Parisian specialties: le Voltaire, one of our favorite restaurants, and, on the other side of the Seine river, the restaurant du Palais-Royal: le Café Marly, with its incomparable view of the Louvre pyramide…
At snack time, offer yourself a sweet break in one of these three tearooms: Jean-Paul Hévin, a chocolatier who bakes intricate cakes, Angelina, a legend of Paris (with its extremely famous Mont Blanc, a cake with a chestnut cream and meringue base) or Laduréé, where tasting the macaroons is mandatory for all respectable foodies.
15 minutes away by foot (or 3 metro stops, or five minutes by bike, there is a public bike rental station at the foot of your apartment building), you will arrive on the most beautiful avenue of the world, the Champs-Elysées. There must also be a stop at the Grand Palais, a renowned museum in Paris.

Charming Paris Apartment, Great Location
VRBO Bear stayed here - 05/16/2011
Ah, Paris in the springtime…so romantic. I truly enjoyed this marvelous city, mostly due to this apartment’s coziness and amazing location. I felt right at home and loved how everything I could wish for was right at my paw tips.
The best part about staying here was its location - there’s a Metro station 1 minute away by foot, the entrance to the magnificent Tuileries garden is just as close. You’ll love the upscale shopping just around the corner, and it was nice to be able to easily visit the Mona Lisa at the famous Louvre museum (just 5 a minute walk).
After a long day of exploring Paris and visiting museums, it was nice to relax on the cozy sofa in the nook by the bedroom. The bathroom was the perfect size - not too big and not too small; plus, I really liked the faucet in the bathroom. The water changes color according to the temperature; blue for cold, red for hot!
If you’re looking for the perfect romantic place to stay in Paris, look no further because you’ve found it!

This quaint loft apartment was idealy located just minutes from the Louvre, and significant attractions in Paris. Notre Dame and the latin quarter is just minutes away by the metro or enjoy a 15 minute walk or even have a boat ride and take in all the sites. The location was so centaly located to your day of sightseeing or shopping that you could easily stop back mid day, have your lunch, rest and then go out again for the rest of the day or evening dining. The most surprising attribute was that the apartment is ultra quiet. Sleeping is no problem and the king size bed is very confortable. Our host Adrien was very helpful and most accommadating. My wife and I can't return soon enough! Tim & Heather

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in September 2011. You cannot find a better location anywhere in Paris than where this place is. We walked around the city and when we got tired, we just came back and rested. It's so close to everything in Paris and this apartment was just so perfect for two of us. Andrien was very fast with emails and Leonore is very very helpful when we first arrived explaining everything and helped carry our luggage to and out of the apartment. We couldn't have found a better place than this in Paris. Very happy with my choice and would recommend this place to anyone who's visiting lovely Paris!!! :-)

My husband and I spent a week at this lovely little apartment in September, 2010. It was small but had everything we needed. I was three months pregnant at the time, so comfort was key, and I have to say the bed was truly comfortable and I slept well every night. We could open the skylights for a nice breeze and sunshine, weather permitting. We enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in our kitchenette every morning with fresh eggs, fruit, cheese and baguette we had bought the night before. The best thing about the apartment was its location. It was ultra convenient to all the major sights we wanted to see. From there, we walked all around the city and only used the bus and metro a few times. It was a delight to walk through Tuilleries gardens every day, with the flowers blooming and people relaxing by the fountains. It was also convenient to head back to the apartment whenever we needed a break in the day. The owner was very easy to work with and the whole process was smooth. I would highly recommend this apartment to a couple or a single looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay. I still daydream about our week in Paris even months later!
