We had a wonderful stay! This house was equipped with everything that we would need in our own home. It has a cozy cottage feeling. The backyard is enclosed with a cute patio that is right out the kitchen door. The neighborhood is safe, friendly and walkable. The location of the property is great. Close to Freeways, downtown, convention centers shopping, food, fabulous ski resorts, ect. couldn't ask for a better location. I would recommend this home, without hesitation, to anyone. One would be hard pressed to find something better for this price!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cottage is very charming and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood setting. It had everything we needed for our stay. The patio in in back yard was wonderful for our morning and evening meals. We loved listening to all of the different kinds of birds. The Blue Jays love raw peanuts in the shell. They were so cute. We found a cute little store up the street called Backyard Birds. They were very helpful to let us know what kinds of foods these wild birds like. We ate most meals at the house because of the ambiance. The location was perfect for our Salt Lake destinations. We will definitely stay here next time. It was really nice to have some good grocery stores so close by and all of the shops in Sugarhouse made for some fantastic shopping. The owners were very easy to work with and answered any of our e-mails or phone calls fast and efficient. We loved the place and will be back! Thank you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a great location. Most everything we wanted to see or do was within a reasonable distance. The home over all was in great shape. I only have 1 complaint: The Plumbing in the kitchen and laundry did not work. It kept backing up on us and a plumber was never called to come fix it. This was noticed within 30 minutes of our checking in on Saturday. We called immediately when we noticed it and a handyman was sent. Handyman couldn't get it fixed and stated a plumber would be called. The following Saturday we still did not see a plumber. The handyman continued to come by and still did not get it fixed. We stayed 7 days and I was washing dishes in a bowl in the sink and rinsing them in the bathroom sink. To much water in the sink caused the dishwasher to over flow. Using the disposal caused water to gush out of the wall in the laundry room. Using the washing machine caused the sink to back up which then caused the dishwasher to overflow, AND it sure made for cooking and cleaning difficult. Luckily the bathroom was not affected. The only other thing missing was a grill that the listing said was on the property. We checked everywhere and did not find one. We didn't enjoy the TV as much as we would have liked. Not to keen on Antenna TV. There was no cable or satellite service to the television. Internet was good though.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

The property is well furnished , clean, and comfortable. We had 2 adults and 4 kids and did not want for space. The quiet neighborhood is convenient to all shopping and easy jaunt to the train. Bonus: also close to our favorite ice cream stop, The Iceberg!! Loved enjoying the cool weather on the back porch which was perfect for breakfast. . Owners are very accommodating and professional. very quick responses to emails. We will be backOwner response: Thanks so much Jason. We're so glad that you chose our house and were happy with your stay. We'll anticipate and be excited for your next stay. Best regards, Art and Kathy

This house is convenient, clean and comfortable. It's not luxurious but it's quite adequate for the price. The internet worked well but the TV signal was intermittent. It worked most of the time, but not perfectly. I would stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you Art and Kathy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. You were great to work with. Everything was as expected and better. The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two sons {23 and 15}, The layout of the house was perfect with a spacious kitchen and dining area. Our boys enjoyed this area as they spent some time on thier compuiters.{internet worked great}. The living area and DVD and TV on the other end of the house with the comfy leather couches provided a perfect quiet reading spot for my husband and I. I especially loved having a washer and dryer. The kitchen was fully equipt for preparing our Christmas Dinner. We absolutely loved all of the shopping and eating spots right within walking distance It was also.a very short drive from the airport and ski resorts. We enjoyed a day at Solitude and Brighton. Thank you for helping us with discount tickets. We also enjoyed a day at Liberty Park just a few miles down the road and would recommend the Aviary to any bird lovers. Our boys loved it. The area is very nice and quiet. We will certainly contact you when we are in Salt Lake City again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

My husband and I really appreciated that Art and Kathy accommodated us in this cute little home for a last-minute rental when we were in town for a family matter. They were great to deal with and communicated quickly to make our reservation. The home is clean and comfortable with a good sized master bedroom and large kitchen. As noted, it is an older home so two bedrooms and the living room/sitting area are small, but it was very comfortable and adequate for our stay. Linens in one bedroom could have been newer and better quality, but they were clean and fine for our stay. The flat screen TVs were also great but we had some trouble with signal strength--not a big problem since we were busy and watched very little TV. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood, convenient location and a nice, fenced yard. Many thanks and we will certainly consider staying in your properties again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Bambi, We're glad you enjoyed your stay and that you were comfortable in our house. We will for sure look after the things you pointed out and try to make your next stay even better. Thanks, Art and Kathy

My husband and I stayed recently at this vacation rental on Lisonbee. Kathy was very cordial, organized, and easy to work with through the reservation process. The house is small, but is well supplied with most everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is a very positive thing when you find a coffeemaker, coffee and creamer in Utah! One of our only complaints is that the TV wasn't working in the master bedroom, but the one in the living area was sufficient for us. As mentioned in another review, two of the bedrooms are very small, and the bathroom and living area are also quite small (this is an older house). However, the master bedroom and the kitchen are good sized, the front yard is spacious and set back from the street, and even though the backyard isn't very deep, it has a nice patio and seating area. The location is great, with good access to I-80 and downtown Salt Lake City. It is a fairly quiet neighborhood for being in an older section of Salt Lake, but you do hear some traffic noise from 700 East, especially if you are sitting outside. Thank you Kathy - we enjoyed your cute little house. It was a welcome place to return after our busy days with family, friends, and wedding activities!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Hello Anne Thank you for your review of our house. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We’re not sure what happened with the television. It’s a new television and we had our maintenance service check it out and they plugged it in and it worked fine. We’re sorry you had trouble with it and we are glad that the living room television met you needs. We’ll look forward to providing your lodging the next time you visit our city. Best regards, Art and Kathy

Our family of four (2 adults, a 5 year old and a 2 year old) stayed in this house for three nights over Labor Day Weekend. The owners were very professional and easy to work with. The house was fine, although it should be noted that two of the bedrooms are very small (barely bigger than the bed). The house was clean and everything was in order. We had several suggestions for the owners to make the house more comfortable/user friendly (add nightlights, lamps, rug pads, replace burned out lightbulbs, etc.). They were very receptive to our comments and promised to fix/add everything that we'd suggested. Overall the house was just fine...Nothing fancy, just a clean, comfortable place to sleep - - Close to Sugarhouse Park area of SLC.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your constructive comments and suggestions. We always want to make our best effort to make our guests as comfortable as we can. These comments will help with our other places and will help other VRBO owners that can learn from your suggestions. We’re sorry your didn’t see the extra light bulbs in the cupboard area above the salt and pepper and other seasonings. We always have extra light bulbs in our places but will need to make it more clear that they are available when needed. We also realized from your comments that we need more night lights throughout the house and are going to put them in our other places as well. All of your other concerns have been addressed and have been remedied for our next guests. Thanks again and we hope we can serve your lodging needs in the future. Best regards, Art and Kathy Barten
