A Cozy River House I in Forks, Washington, is located in a quiet wooded area just off of Highway 101 five miles north of town.
The river house is nestled in the trees on the bank of the Sol Duc River. Our cozy river house is warm, spacious and has all the amenities for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. We want you to feel at home away from home!

We rented this house for a short getaway with our girls, and it is just as "cozy" as it looks! I was very impressed with all the amenities they provided: tons of fresh towels, extra pillows & blankets (beds & sheets were good!), a seriously well-stocked kitchen (even sharp knives and full spice rack!) with service for 10 or more (including every type of glass you could ever need), a closet full of games, a whole DVD library, TV's in every bedroom (husband happy about that!), Wi-Fi (husband happy about that, too!), an iPod stereo, a guest info book with anything you might need/want to know. There was even a huge basket of treats to welcome us, which our kids attacked daily, and a big bowl of York Peppermint patties my husband couldn't resist. We made a fire the minute we arrived & there's a whole shed full of wood (attached to the house) so we kept it going the entire weekend. There is a garage to use, a brand new very large gas grill, a laundry room with full size washer & dryer, ironing board & iron. It rained a lot, so we didn’t get to take advantage of sitting out on the deck. The house is just steps above the Sol Duc River. Wouldn’t normally list so many details here, but they provided more than was expected, which was so appreciated by me! It is obvious they anticipated everything that a guest might want or need. House looks just like it does in the photos and it was impeccably spotless. Julie was a delight to talk to, she emailed all the information we’d need including a very detailed map, and when asked, she even sent more information about things to do en route. Anyone who chooses this house will be very happy. It’s cute, clean & you will have everything you need!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family stayed here for 4 days of fishing on the Soleduck, Hoh, and Bogachiel rivers. I could not have imagined a better house or location. The house it spacious and warm and right on the Soleduck river - about 15 feet away. Lots of comfortable beds, and a very well outfitted kitchen. There is a nice deck and bbq. It is also only 1/4 mile from the Maxfield boat ramp, prefect for fishing and rafting. What really set this place apart is the attention to details - the fishing books and posters, the kids toys, the decorations - really made it homey and welcoming without being too kitchy. The owners and their housekeeper were available and attentive to our questions. Really doesn't get a whole lot better than this. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

What a wonderful place to stay during our vacation! It was so nice to relax by the fire pit after a long day of fishing, listening to the river down below. Everything was so well stocked and the welcome basket of goodies was very much appreciated by all! We had a great time exploring the Hoh Rain Forest as well as 2nd beach and Ruby Beach. The views were amazing. Even packed in some guided fishing trips and caught some salmon! A Cozy River House I has been in our family for many decades, and is a place that is near and dear to us. It is perfectly located to see all the sites - the beaches, rainforest, lakes, waterfalls - in just a 30 minutes or less. The back deck overlooking the river is so peaceful and is the best place for an evening fire, and to catch glimpses of bald eagles and otters going about their daily riverside activities.

Cozy 1 is the perfect river cabin where you feel like you're off the grid and away from it all, but you still have all the modern conveniences you need to stay connected to the 'outside world' if you need to. The deck affords not only views of the Sol Duc River, but bald eagle fly-by's throughout the day. They often provide excellent photo moments by landing on one of the property's trees! It's just the right size to accommodate families and friends. With the public boat launch and fishing access to the Sol Duck river, Cozy 1 has become a favorite for both small and large groups of fishermen too.
