  It is very convenient to area activities. Our family enjoyed playing horseshoes and the fire pit in the backyard. It was perfect for our family gathering. Pies & Pints has excellent pizza and beer selection. The owners were very helpful with questions. We will definitely come back for our next family gathering.

  The house itself is in a great location, but the furniture is very old, broke down and down right uncomfortable. Other than that this owner has a good thing going on.

  The house is beautiful, clean, easy to find, close enough to town, and far enough away for a quiet restful stay! We loved staying at your property. The location is excellent for exploring the Fayetteville area. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

  Upon arriving to this property we found the grass too high to let children play outside for fear of snakes. The grass was not cut for 3 days after our arrival. The backyard was one of the highlights of the property that we anticipated using. Also trash was overflowing in trash can at entrance. The front door handle was loose. The house was not clean,and housekeeping charges were included in the rental. We had to clean the kitchen before unloading our supplies. Cob webs hung from light fixtures and a bees nest with bees were in living room. MIrrors were smeared so badly , we could barely see our reflection. Another amenity we wanted to use , the dishwasher , leaked in the floor. I emailed owner, who emailed me back that housekeeping would be alerted immediately and she would send someone to repair dishwasher and microwave, which was sparking and slightly smoking. NOONE ever came the entire week we were there to address any of these issues. I emailed again and no response from owner. Was told a large trash can would be in the back yard for excess trash but no trash can was back there. Our trash was overflowing in front yard with many pest swarming. The owner finally , on my way back south, emailed me back after several emails to her, sorry for your inconviences. We paid good money for this property and the ammenities listed on VRBO and we were not able to use some of them and housekeeping problem also. The house is very nice , just in dire need of a through cleaning and many repairs. The owner seemed very uninterested in my complaints and did NOTHING to accommodate us during our stay. I would NOT rent from this owner again. We were in town for two family reunions and very busy with cooking , which is why we rented a large home, and if these issues had been promply addressed , our stay could have been much more enjoyable. Area was superb. I will definetly visit this area again. I do not recommend this property.

  Owner response: We responded to each and every one of the renters emails with a few short hours of receiving them. The grass at the rental is mowed by lawn care contractors each Saturday. Renter had arrived on a Wednesday. The lawn was mowed the previous Saturday and was again mowed the Saturday during renter's stay. The trash is removed each and every Friday. The house is thoroughly cleaned after each renter is gone and before the next renter arrives. We DO NOT charge a cleaning fee. The front door knob was not loose before the renters stay. It happened during their stay. They loosened the front door knob, shattered the master bathroom toilet seat, broke the master bathroom shower knob and shattered the horseshoes we had for the enjoyment of our renters. There are no bee nests inside this rental. Renter threatened to leave a scathing review is she was not given "a few free days in the fall" for her inconveniences. This house is beautiful and very clean. We strive to maintain a high degree of cleanliness and excellence for our renters.

  The house was amazing. It was exactly as described and in excellent condition. My husband and I took our two sons (ages 18 and 11) along with two other 18 year old boys and another 11 year old boy for spring break. The boys loved it. The house was very open and very roomy for 7 of us. It was nice that everyone had their own bed for the week. The older boys took a bike ride to the bottom of the gorge and back up which was a major adventure. We also drove down to the bottom and saw a group of rafters and a train along the river. It was beautiful. The hike on Long Point was probably the highlight of our trip. It was amazing even though we'd done it before. Overall we had a very relaxing and entertaining week and will definitely do it again. Thanks for a wonderful week.

  A group of friends and I stayed in the house for a weekend ski trip and had an absolute blast. The house was great!! It was a well maintained and very presentable. The owner provided us with easy directions to the house and made it very easy to check in and out. It was big enough for 8 people to sleep people comfortably. The house exceeded our expectioans in the first place, but the owner was nice enough to bring us a bottle of wine when we showed up to make sure we showed up alright. Great stay and I would highly recommend the rental home for any kind of vacation.

  We had a wonderful experience at this home. Secluded but very close to nearby shops and the New River Gorge Bridge. We had our entire family of 14 there for Thanksgiving and our wedding. The house was as owner described and the owner was more than helpful in anything we needed. Would highly recommend to any family wanting some seclusion but close to activities. Definitely a "Home Away from Home" experience. Has everything you need and very well maintained.
