I can't say enough about this home. It was perfect!!! The home is just a few yrs old so everything is new, very clean & well organized. There was a beautiful view of Camelback mountain. What I loved most about this home was the space, we went with anothef family & there was more than enough room. The basement was fully equipped with a TV, board games & a foosball table. The children played for hours. The homeowner Megan was great, she answered all my questions and returned all my emails. I would highly recommend this home. Thanks Megan.

I am normally skeptical of a great review after a bad one, and I have to say I was nervous in renting this home when I read the not-so-good June/July review, but I must say that this place was wonderful. We had a wonderful time at the rental home. This is the first time we have rented a house before, and it was better than we expected. It felt like we were renting a home, rather than a house. I’ve rented a condo/apartment before, but nothing like this. When we walked in everything was neat and clean. The house is well decorated with great, simple, comfortable furniture. It felt like I was walking into a very warm and cozy home (With plenty of space to boot.) The 4 big flat screen TVs, with 2 in bedrooms was a nice treat. We saw the Summer Olympics in style. My family and I stayed at the home. There were nine of us (Grandma, Grandpa, 3 Grandkids, and 4 adults). I must say that the basement and bunk beds were a godsend. The basement is very spacious, and when the kids went down there, we did not think they were going to come back up. The basement, with two bunk beds, and a futon, had a big screen TV, with a bunch of videos and games to play. (PS2, DVD) there was even a table they used to draw pictures, and the foosball. There was so much room in the basement that my daughter and my niece decided to do a dance recital for the family. (The recital was wonderful - My wife won’t let me post it on YouTube :) ) The other bedrooms were also very nice. The beds were very comfortable (at least the one I slept in). It was one of the best night sleeps I have had in a while. We did not realize how close we were to Camelback/Camelbeach, and it was fantastic to be able to drive there in a few minutes. If you have never been to a water park (or even if you had) I must say that Camelbeach is one of the biggest and best I’ve gone to. Camelbeach takes up the entire bottom of the ski slope, and then some. And the offer of cabanas was very tempting (I would suggest spending the money, if you have a big group). There is also an Adventure park next to Camelbeach. PS. Don’t go there without getting or looking up a coupon. I can imagine skiing being just as fantastic, as you are so close to the slope you don’t have to get up at wee hours for the morning drive. We did a bunch of other activities (which I do not want to bore you with the details) but I do want to mention that I did see my very first “pig race” at a county fair. Take care and happy vacationing.

What a great house!! The house is exactly as it is advertised! Very comfortable living space, kitchen was great, it had everything you could need in a kitchen. I really loved the Keurig machine, as I am a K Cup junkie at home! The basement was much larger than pictured. Great bunk beds, with basically a living room down there as well. My 12 year old daughter & her 2 friends really loved the independence & space the basement provided. The master bedroom was very nice, bed was comfy, and bathroom attached. There is a bedroom next to master that has 2 twin beds, was great form my 5 & 8 year old children. A 3rd bedroom is on main floor w a full bed, we did not utilize, but could easily sleep 1-2 more. Overall the house was spotless, & it was perfect for the 7 of us. 2 minutes from camel beach & 5 minutes from Mt. Pocono state park. The owner Megan was lovely to deal with, would highly recommend property, and will definitely be back!!

My husband and I went to celebrate our joint birthdays and found this Camelback home a peaceful retreat in the lovely Four Seasons Community. The property is exactly as it's described and more. The house is exceptionally clean and well decorated. It's obvious the owners have added many personal touches, and take great care to offer quality and comfort. The kitchen was a delight, and had everything we needed to cook and grill during our stay. We really used the kitchen, making dinner every night. It's full service, not just a minimal vacation kitchen. Condiments supplied were plentiful and very useful, as were cookware, utensils, paper goods, etc. The Queen bed in the Master Bedroom was incredibly comfortable. The water pressure was excellent, and hot water was plentiful, even taking back-to-back showers. Multiple flat screen TVs all over the house was a major bonus. The cable service provided plenty of choices for viewing, and WIFI made internet access instantaneous. The living room recliners and sofa were very comfortable. The views from the living room and deck are wooded in the summer, but must have great views of the mountains in the winter. There is a fireplace for cozy winter nights, and excellent air conditioning for the summer. We'll recommend this vacation rental to all our family and friends.

This rental home is advertised as no pets allowed. However, the main living area smelled like wet dogs and the couch had some dog hair on the surface. My youngest daughter and I struggle with pet allergies, and we were both very uncomfortable in this home. Also, it was disappointing on our last night in the rental when we had planned on using the grill to have a family cookout, only to discover the "new grill" did not work. Yes...it did have plenty of LPG in the tank. Unfortunately, there is also some confusion with the listing as to what is charged. The owner requires a deposit, which is much higher than comparable rentals in the area. In addition, she retains three percent of the total rental cost from he deposit if you pay by PayPal, which is basically charging a different amount for a different form of payment to cover the processing fees charged by the credit card companies to the retailer. These fees are generally considered the cost of doing business, and are usually absorbed into the cost of the goods and services. She does accept payment by check, but did not allow us enough time for the USPS to deliver in her remote area. Since our transaction, she has also now added the ability to accept payment by HomeAway Payments, which may be another good option and an improvement with this rental. I would suggest, if paying by check, to send it via UPS or Certified Mail so there is a confirmation number and proof of delivery. I did initially attempt to pay by check but made the mistake of sending it via standard USPS delivery and they lost the check. The owner did attempt to work with me and allow a few extra days for the check to arrive. However, she suddenly began to get demanding and put a great amount of pressure on me when her deadline approached. She basically forced me to pay via PayPal. At this point in time, we were in a time crunch and did not have any other options available. I had my bank put a stop payment on the check, which charged me a fee, and then sent her a PayPal payment which was an additional fee withheld from the deposit payment by the owner. With my instant payment to accommodate the owners time deadline, I would have appreciated a little compassion from the owner with a suggestion that we split the PayPal transaction fee. The location of the home is very good as described. However, based on the the disappointing items I listed above, I cannot recommend this rental property. Dave

Owner response: After holding Dave’s rental time without any sort of payment for a full month, and turning down four or five other parties interested in renting the same period of time, I asked that he use Pay Pal. I had no security deposit or payment. It is important that when accepting a personal check, that the check has time to clear which would be ten days prior to check- in. So I had asked that he send the payment via Pay Pal so that I had a valid payment. Pay Pal charges a 3% transaction fee which I explain to all of my renters before they send me any funds. I have never had a complaint regarding the Pay Pal fee since I do offer rates lower than others and include tax and cleaning as a part of the total cost. Dave never asked me to split the Pay Pal fee which I would have gladly done. He also had plenty of time to send out a second check which was suggested to him but he choose to call and email me on a DAILY basis for weeks demanding to know if the check had arrived. I went out of my way to be home when the mail arrived to look for his check which was obviously lost in the mail. His constant emails and phone calls were bordering on harassment. He also complained about the fee that his bank was going to charge for him to cancel his lost check and accused me of fraud. I gave him a good rate with an extra night for free. During his say, Dave did not contact me to tell me there was a problem with the grill. He had both my home and cell numbers and I ask for a call anytime if there is a problem. I had just used and cleaned the grill a few days before his stay and it worked perfectly. There also are personnel that can come to the home and assist with any problems that may arise during a rental. Dave’s impression that there was animal hair on the couch or of any such smell must solely be his. My cleaning personnel call me The Lady With The Good -Smelling House! We do not allow pets and I had just vacuumed on all of the furniture before his arrival. Five people in my home have asthma and allergies and the home is kept spotless. Keeping this home clean, comfortable and up to date for my renters is of the utmost importance to me as you can see from all of the other reviews.

We thoroughtly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home that was exactly as described and pictured. Views of Camelback are also exactly as represented and the house was extremely clean, very well maintained and equipped with everything you need. The kitchen has every needed, appliance, pan, and utensil. The Four Seasons development is a very beautiful setting, well laid out and the distance to Camalback is seriously only 3 minutes!! I will not bother to look any futher for a future Pocono getaway but instead get right in touch with Megan about re-renting her home. All communciation with Megan was prompt and informative and she made the rental process very easy. The size of the house was perfect for our group of 2 adults and 6 teenagers. You will not be disappointed renting this mountain home!

My family ( parents, brother and girl friend) and I spent the weekend at the townhouse and loved it. The view was great, accomodations clean, new, updated, spacious, etc... we were very comfortable and it really worked for my dad who is 85. He likes to sleep on a couch watching tv, which is exactly what he was able to do!! If we stayed in a hotel room he would have been very uncomfortable. I went to Pocono Mtn HS 30 yrs ago and now live in Florida, staying at the townhouse, on the side of a Mtn, surrounded by trees and wildlife (deer, turkeys, chipmonks, etc...) reminded why I have always had fond memories of the poconos. The owners were very easy to deal with and flexible. I would highly recommend staying here and when I come back I will be staying here again! Jim, Rhina,Glenn, Frank and Sonia

About the owner: We are a family of six! We enjoy taking time from this busy world to spend time together. This home allows us to do just that! We like to watch movies, go for walks, enjoy the State Park, do puzzles, play games and relax in front of the fire.

                      Why the Owner Chose Tannersville:
We choose to buy a home in the Pocono mountains because it's far enough away from our home to be a vacation. And the views and atmosphere are so relaxing and beautiful!

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
We love the peace and quite of the home and the fact that it has everything we need to enjoy time together. A full kitchen with a great coffee maker, the games and movies, and thanks to our great cleaning team it's always so very clean! There are all kinds of unique places to visit while we are there and we like to share them with our renters.
