  This is a beautiful home with all the amenities one could want. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The daytime view is breathtaking, and viewing the stars from the hot tub in the evening is great. This spacious home easily accommodated our family of nine. Perhaps it is best summed up by the comment of our two grandsons when they walked into the great room with it's tremendous river rock fireplace and said: "This place is awesome!"

  I have stayed in many VRBO's, and this is by far the best. It IS AS ADVERTISED! From high quality fluffy big towels for the hot tub, that worked perfectly, to the housekeeping and linens-- This is a class act! Interacting with the owners is like doing business with friends--very reasonable and accommodating. 4 bedrooms and baths easily accommodate 3 couples and several children. We were a group of 5 singles and it worked spaciously for us. This is a great property that I hope to visit many times.

  What a wonderful Christmas week our family had at Aspen Haus! Our week was filled with memory-making moments while staying at this amazing house...the breathtaking views were just the "start"...the entire home is just incredible, with every amenity and comfort you could want! Very comfy beds, as well :-) The pictures are accurate, but still don't capture how beautiful this home is. The layout would be perfect for a large family or several couples...lots of privacy! We have stayed in Estes Park before, and I again "poured" over all the available properties at this time of year...SO glad I found this home. It was Perfect! VERY clean, comfortable, felt "right at home"...wish we could've taken it home with us! We really enjoyed being able to fix some amazing meals (including Christmas Dinner!), and the kitchen has everything (!!) you need, including really beautiful serving pieces. There was just no "need" to ever leave the house (or the hot-tub, fireplaces, jacuzzi, twin flat screen TV's, etc...), but we did! There are several great restaurants in town, we enjoyed the one next to Country Market near the house. We also went horseback riding with the Sombrero stables in town. We loved ice skating on the pond at the YMCA and also rented snow shoes there to take up into the RMNP - snowshoed around Bear Lake (beautiful!!). Even our 8yo daughter had a blast!! Next time we will definitely be taking the snowshoe/hiking tour with the Warming House! Thank you to the Werder family for opening their gorgeous, fun, vacation home to us...the special touches made everything so very special (love the huge, soft hot tub towels!)! You can tell how much they love their "home in the Rocky Mtns"! And getting to know Sue in the process was awesome...she was so helpful in pointing out things to do/see...and so nice... You will love dealing with her...and you will LOVE Aspen Haus!! We highly recommend this property & can't wait to come back, ourselves :-) The Miller Family (North Texas)

  We found this to be a perfect fit for our group of 6. We searched a long time before deciding on Aspen Haus. We loved having 3 king beds each with thier own bathroom as we had 3 couples. We enjoyed using the fireplace and great room. The pictures on the website don't do this home justice. We were so impressed when we saw it in person. We encountered two large elk only 1 hour after arrival. They walked up from the river within 75 yards of the house. One of the best things about this home was how clean it was. I could not believe that the place was spotless. I have stayed in other vacation homes that were not near as clean and lacked the personal touch that Aspen Haus provided. The soft fluffy towels and the dove soap were a hit the ladies! I must say the hot tub was also in great working order and very clean! It shows that the owners take a vested interest in their property and are commited to having others enjoy it. We all talked of returning and maybe bringing the kids next time! Thank you to Sue for always being available as we planned our trip and providing helpful information about the area! We took your reccomendation and ate at the Rock Inn, it was great!

  Stop right there, this is the place you are looking for! We rented this home for our family for the Thanksgiving holiday. It is even more beautiful than the photos.The home was spotless, well appointed, and is convenient to everything. It is spacious, a perfect place for families - our kiddos had plenty of room. Despite its great location, it still has that "away from it all" feel. We have used VRBO many times, and this by far exceeds them all and this is the first review I have bothered to write. The best part of renting this home is the owner, Sue, who let us know local happenings and the inside scoop even on things like where to buy coffee in advance so we could get the most out our of trip - it was like having a personal vacation planner! Can't say enough - will definitely be back!

  Our family stayed at the AspenHaus Lodge to celebrate two very special occasions: our wedding anniversary and the day we brought our adopted son home. I can't imagine a more perfect place to celebrate these events than the AspenHaus Lodge. This home is absolutely gorgeous, from the mountain views to the spectacular great room with a gas fireplace that I enjoyed nightly. Vacationing with a toddler forces more time indoors (for naps) than we would want but staying at AspenHaus I welcomed the afternoon naps! I curled up with a book in the adirondack chairs overlooking the mountains and could sit for hours! We loved every hike we took in Rocky Mountain National Park, thanks to the recommendations from the owner. We could even hike into the park without getting in the car! After one hike, we ended for dinner at the Dunraven Inn and ate the most delicious pesto pasta I've ever had in my life. Being a 5 minute walk from that restaurant was just an added bonus to our stay! AspenHaus was by far the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in, the place was spotless and every attention to detail was considered. Nothing in this house seems like the quality you find in most rentals, down to the Pottery Barn throw blankets. This house (for one glorious week) seemed like my home and we felt so warm and comfortable staying here. We weren't even on the plane to come home when we were planning our next trip to stay at AspenHaus. I have told all my family and friends about this amazing mountain getaway, and even sent them pics from my iphone! We loved everything about our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone.

  Sue and Mark, I'm just back from my second stay at your beautiful AspenHaus Lodge in Estes Park. I wish everyone could experience the joy of this property. This amazing home takes my breath away! The setting is so peaceful, with the sounds of the river and beautiful mountain views in every direction. The home itself is stunning and yet so comfortable. There isn't a single detail overlooked. It's so well-appointed, clean, and cared for, inside and out. I love everything about AspenHaus. Your hospitality is just icing on the cake. I can't wait to return this summer with my entire family for my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. We'll range in age from 18-80. I know they'll ALL love it as much as I do. I look forward to visiting as often as I can. And of course, I've told all of my friends about this perfect vacation getaway. Thank you for making it... perfect, every time! Best, Lisa

  We arrived mid-afternoon at this wonderful property and if I had my way we would've stayed at the house all weekend. The open great room with vaulted ceilings and rustic feel made us all feel like we were right at home. Since we had our kids and my sister's kids in tow, we opted to go ride bikes around Lake Estes. That didn't quite do it for the kiddos though so we decided to rent a pontoon boat as well. The views were amazing with The Rockies reflecting off water in the distance and the kids smiling from my lap as they steered the boat....priceless. Late that nigh we stayed up late playing clue as the fire keep us warm on a chilly summer night. The next day we hike Rocky Mountain Nation al Park and saw our first ever moose in the wild. WOW! We barbequed, drank, and danced to all the top 40 hits of the day. I didn't know half of the songs but the kids ranging from 4 to 8 years old seemed to know all the words. My 6 year old fell asleep in my arms that night as her cousins and sisters continued dancing. I went to bed when the kids did around 10ish but all the other adults decided to have a good soak in the hottub before they called it a night. The following morning I went for a run on the trail on the YMCA property beautiful and challenging. We got back to the house loaded up the gear and the kids and made one last pit stop at the amusement park before heading back home. Definitely will recommend this property to family, clients and of course "you".

  In my opinion AspenHaus is hands down the best combination of amenities, location, price, and privacy in Estes Park for a small group. We had (4) couples in our group this year and there was plenty of room for everyone. We've been visiting Estes Park for over (20) years and it's become a family tradition. It can sometimes be difficult satisfying everyone's preferences but no worries with AspenHaus - there's something for everyone to like. As a bonus the owners are very communicative and friendly. Sit on the patio at night with your favorite beverage, enjoy the cool air, the stars, and the gurgling sound of the Big Thompson.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  Aspen Haus provided a perfect setting for our vacation and proved to be far superior to other options I considered. We were a group of 9, including my husband and I, 2 married children and their families (including a set of toddler twins), and a single adult son. Aspen Haus is spotless, well-maintained, and well-equipped. It is tastefully decorated with lovely furniture and Colorado decor. Each of our family groups had its own bedroom and bathroom.The mattresses were oh-so-comfortable. Having our own bathrooms came in handy when we all were getting ready for an early morning day trip. The half-bath in the hall came in handy for the little ones (although we had to purchase a little stool so they could reach the sink. Ha!) The hot tub worked beautifully and was a welcome treat for the adults after hiking. The land line phone is great, since cell phones are iffy. The toddler playground in the common area could use a little sprucing up, but we did use it twice for our little ones. The only disappointment -- and this was very minor-- is that we could not find a nice "flat spot" to fish at the river's edge. The ground was a little steep on our side of the river. My son-in-law took the kids to Mary's Lake to fish instead. They enjoyed pony rides nearby (Glacier Lodge) where parents could lead the ponies all over the property instead of just going around in a pony ring. We found the Aspen Brook community very friendly (people waved at our car all the time); it is very private (not like a city subdivision); so convenient to RMNP & town; and very well-kept. We didn't use the fire ring in the commons because of fire restrictions at that time, but it looked nice. Our family cooked breakfast and supper in the kitchen almost every day. There is plenty of space for multiple cooks, plenty of frig space, and enough indoor dining seating for 10. A beautiful deck, picnic table, and additional outdoor seating are perfect with the mountain view and river sounds. Our Activities: Stanley Hotel, Bear Lake, Georgetown Steam RR, Wild Basin, Old Fall River Rd, Trail Ridge, Long's Peak, wildlife sightings (moose, bear, wild turkeys, elk & deer), Aerial Tram, Gem Lake, Bike Riding down a mountain. and more. Sue provided much care before and during our stay, assuring a great experience. She answered all questions and was always accessible by email or phone. Mark & Sue are very enthusiastic and eager to see guests enjoy their home and beloved Rockies. Our sincere thanks!
