Lovely, comfortable apartment in a charming larger home (Listing #284078) with rolling lawns and towering pine trees located on 4 very private acres in a park like setting. Apartment has its own driveway and entrance separate from the main house. Very tastefully furnished in a French country style with bathrooms completely redone recently in 2010. Completely suitable for a young family. Lots of outside room for children to play or go sledding. In the summer, this apartment has possible access to an outdoor pool and dining space when owners are not in residence.

The Mad River Valley is stunningly beautiful with lots of amenities but far enough off the beaten track to retain its Vermont country character and charm. The property is on a publicly maintained side road just off of Route 100 with easy access to all amenities in the Mad River Valley. 10 minutes from 3 ski mountains and only 5 minutes from the towns of Waitsfield and Warren.

This is a place of serenity and charm where you can escape the hustle and bustle, recharge your batteries and enjoy everything the Valley has to offer.

Why the Owner Chose Waitsfield

WE love the natural beauty and peacefulness of the Mad River Valley. With access to skiing, sledding, hiking and many other activities this area is a perfect get away.

The Unique Benefits of this House

The property is convenient to all the Mad River Valley activities, but yet remote enough for a restful and tranquil vacation. We love being outside in the snow sledding as well as enjoying a warm fire on a cold day. The summers are lush and unhurried, and the lawns and gardens provide an oasis of beauty and tranquility. A great place to read a book or play a game!

Charming Apartment in Country Ski House Avail for Seasonal
5/5

Superb Accommodation, Peaceful Setting

Guest: Lu-Ann (Pottstown, Pennsylvania)
Date of Stay: 12/01/10 Review Submitted: 03/22/11

My son and I stayed in this charming, Vermont apartment for 5 months during the snowy winter of 2011. It is situated within a stately home on a semi-private road, and conveniently close to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen ski areas. The apartment is extremely well-kept, tastefully decorated, roomy and comfortable. An escape here could be enjoyed in any season for a long or short retreat. During our residence every feature of the apartment worked well, and we particularly appreciated using the recently remodeled bathrooms, and having the availability of a brand new washer and dryer. The working fireplace in the living room added coziness to the cold winter days, which we surely enjoyed, and the large windows provided a view of the professionally maintained grounds. I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation, as I am grateful to have had this exceptional apartment to inhabit for 5 months. The owners are welcoming, and the caretakers that oversee the property are wonderfully efficient. Many thanks to all involved for maintaining this property in tip-top condition, so that renters can enjoy clean, comfortable lodging.
