Caso Paso is located in the East side of Paso Robles near the intersection of Geneseo and Ground Squirrel Hollow. Our wine country escape is a new single level four bedroom house (sleeps 9-11) on a two acre lot with gorgeous hilltop views of vineyards and rolling hills. The vineyard-inspired back yard is the central attraction, with a large patio, a high end gourmet outdoor kitchen with a 36" DCS grill, DCS refrigerator and DCS dual side burner, plus traditional wine country diversions: a bocce court and two horseshoe pits. The enclosed backyard was designed from the very beginning for relaxing and is perfect for either families or couples. There is plenty of seating, including 6 chairs around the kitchen island, an old growth redwood table that seats 10-11 and 2 low matching chairs around the decorative firepit. Low-voltage lighting over the kitchen, table and around the perimeter of the patio help extend the fun outside. Star gazing is impressive at our country house, especially with a new moon.
Inside is a comfortable one level house that includes a bonus room/kid's play room. Adjacent to the living room is a large dining room table which seats 8, the adjacent breakfast bar seats 3. The kitchen is very well equipped with truly top quality cookware, cutlery, bakeware and kitchen gadgets from brands like All-Clad, Le Creuset, Staub, Calphalon and Cuisinart. Countertop appliances include a Cuisinart burr coffee grinder w/ thermal carafe, toaster oven and blender. The complete list of kitchen items is on our website, you won't want for anything.
The true-master bedroom has a decorative fireplace that is shared with the master bathroom's deep bathtub for cozy relaxation. The master has a queen bed, as do 2 other bedrooms. The 4th bedroom has 3 single beds. There is also a queen sleeper couch in the living room. TVs in the living room and master bedroom have DirecTv access, the bonus room/kids room TV just has DVD/VHS.
Caso Paso is approximately 12 miles East of charming downtown Paso Robles and is a short drive to a number of award winning wineries on the East side of Paso Robles. The closest wineries are within approximately 5 miles, including Cass winery, Bianchi vineyards, Meridian and Tobin James. The house is a wonderful mix of country “away from it all”, but not TOO far from it all.
It's a perfect place to unwind in wine country and only a few hours from Los Angeles or San Francisco.
(Note: fireplaces are decorative only and are not functional) Maximum capacity at any time is 11 people, registered guests or visitors.
NO WEDDINGS/EVENTS - This property can not be used for functions such as weddings, wedding receptions, family reunions, or any other gatherings involving more than the maximum number of occupants (11). In short, at no time can there be more than 11 people at the house. We do have neighbors and we do have rental restrictions from the county. This is not a commercial property.

The house is located on a hilltop with a great view of the area around it. One can see vineyards from the family room, the kitchen and the backyard. The kitchen was spacious and so were most of the rooms. The best part for us was the backyard. We had planned for a BBQ and the house has a great setup for that, complete with a complete setup, tables and chairs. The owner was prompt with responses to any questions and confirming all details. All in all a breeze. Would look to go back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful home. It is located away from the town, but worth every bit of the views and drive. It is a quiet location with a lot of space and HUGE backyard. We really enjoyed the bocce ball court and wonderful outdoor kitchen. The indoor kitchen is well equipped and even has your everyday spices and oils! I highly recommend this place if you are looking to spend time with friends or family. It is close to a few great wineries as well!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had a great time in Paso Robles. The home was very comfortable and all of the kid's toys and games were great to keep them occupied. We loved the Bocce court in the back yard and the great outside cooking station. Nice a quiet location with a beautiful view out the back.Recommended for: Families with young children.

The house is beautiful, set in the middle of the country on a hill. Rooms are nice size, comfortably fits 3 couples and has extra single beds, and is VERY clean. It is at least a 25 minute drive from downtown Paso Robles, so the location was not convenient for our drive back and forth for wedding events. But if you like remote, quiet places, and you don't plan to leave much, this is a really nice place. Another bonus- close to many wineries!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks for your nice review. If you primarily want to be in the heart of downtown, there are closer places. We're about 20 minutes from downtown. Our places's strength is a mix of being a bit more away from downtown but near a number of excellent wineries while still close enough for the times you want to be downtown. The house and backyard are great for hanging out with friends, cooking indoors or outdoors, bocce, etc... with lovely vineyard views.

Our party of six (3 couples) had a great time at this home. All furnishings were in excellent condition. The photos and property descriptions are exactly what you will find waiting for you - and it was as very clean!!. How nice to know it was pet-free!! We noticed they were lots of board games, video games, and movies to keep kids and teenagers occupied. A nice variety of high-end cookware. It is a little off the beaten path - Which we found that to be perfect for relaxing with friends and family - Watching the sunset with a nice bottle of wine discovered earlier in the day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Thank you so much for our very enjoyable mini-vacation. Your second home is beautiful and the view was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed visiting the Paso Robles area for the first time, our friends we went with have been there several times before and were able to take us to some of their favorite wineries. The kitchen was a favorite as we are foodies and love to cook. It was so nice to come back and relax, knowing we had everything at our fingertips for a comfortable stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much! Your home is beautiful and we had perfect weather. I particularly wanted to mention how much we appreciated how well your kitchen is stocked. We are all cooks and really appreciated the sharp knives and selection of pots and pans. Your back yard is spectacular and we had some fun horse shoe and bocce competitions along with beautiful sunrises and sunsets You obviously took great care in setting up the house and anticipated the needs of your guests!!! We will definitely make this a yearly trip, or perhaps ½ yearly!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

We recently spent the weekend in your beautiful home with friends for my husband's 50th birthday. Once we got to the house it seemed like everyone was very content to just hang out. They played Bocci ball, Horseshoes and just enjoyed the amazing view. The rolling hills were majestic. We had a delicious dinner cooked on the grill and the kitchen had everything we needed. That is so important to a bunch of foodies!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The house was just like the photos and we weren't disappointed. The view was amazing and everything about watching the sun set to star gazing was something that has to be experienced first hand to truly understand what all the reviews are saying. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed to cook and plenty of space to work in. The master suite was wonderful as was the huge master bathroom. We would recommend visiting Sculpterra vineyard for their Cab Sav, their art collection (both in the sculpture gardens and indoors) AND, because that is where my husband and I were wed. The whole weekend was enjoyable and we would certainly recommend this property to our friends as well as return in the future. Thank you Rick and Cheryl! - Mr. & Mrs. D. Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Our family has long time connections to Paso Robles including a school named after a great uncle, but we bought the house for the hilltop vineyard views. We had been coming here for a long time and love the rural character and beauty of the area.
Why the Owner Chose Paso Robles:
We chose to buy this house for the area and the view. Our Paso Robles house is a perfect getaway for a group of couples or a couple families with kids. The large backyard is designed for entertaining and hanging out in wine country. The hilltop view is fantastic, better than a picture can really capture. The Geneseo/Ground Squirrel Hollow area has a nice rural charm, but it's not too far from wineries or downtown.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The backyard is the unique and best part of the house, as mentioned above. Very few places (if any) combine a professional quality outdoor kitchen, a large patio with plenty of seating, and a bocce court and horseshoe courts a few steps away from the patio. As we've always joked, plenty of one-handed games so you can hold your glass of wine while playing.
