This updated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo is called 'Lower Hughes' because of its spectacular view of the Lower Hughes ski run from the balcony. The 180-view of slopes and surrounding mountains are hard to beat. The unit is professionally cleaned after each guest stay.
Lower Hughes easily accommodates six people with two queen sized beds and a new leather sofa sleeper. A queen aerobed is also available upon request.
The main level has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area. The bedroom has a queen bed with upgraded linens. It has mirrored doors and a flat screen TV. The living area is comfortable with new leather furniture including a sofa sleeper. Stay warm with the gas fireplace. There is a flat screen TV and DVD. This level boasts expansive windows and a deck that allow viewing the fabulous runs at the Winter Park Resort. The kitchen is well-equipped and open to the dining and living area. The deck on the main level has a gas grill. The main level also has a washer and dryer. Stow your equipment in the outdoor ski locker near the front door.
The upper level contains a beautiful master suite with a bathroom with shower, gas fireplace, hot tub, flat screen TV, queen bed with upgraded linens, and expansive windows with spectacular views.
The Winter Park Place common area provides a large hot tub and sauna. There are washers and dryers in the common area. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front of the building.
Lower Hughes at Winter Park Place is located 1/3 of a mile from the base of Winter Park Ski Resort and an easy free 2 minute shuttle ride to the resort lifts. The shuttle picks you up on the street in front of the condo. The town of Winter Park with its local shops, restaurants, sledding and tubing hills is only a couple miles away. Adjacent to the back of the building is the Fraser River, which is a perfect place to relax, or hike the Fraser River Trail which is just a few moments walk from the condo. The Fraser River runs behind the building and is wonderful at all times of the year.

Stayed for 4 nights in March 2011. Property was as described--very clean, well maintained, nicely stocked kitchen with basics provided, good location, great instructions, everything worked. TVs,beds, hottub, fireplaces,grill are nice. Great views! FYI: Some road noise at night and this goes for all lodging in this area--a loud train comes through in the early morning hours. Thanks for letting us stay--We enjoyed it!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is a perfect location for skiing with the shuttle stop so close. We found the condo very roomy and tastefully decorated. However, we found the mattress in the master bedroom to be a lot harder than we're accustomed to and had difficulty sleeping. The train noise at night also woke us up since we weren't used to it in addition to the hot tub cycling at night. If you're a sound sleeper, then this wont affect you and you can hardly beat the location at such a reasonable price! Another great asset was the Frasier Trail nearby where the snowshoeing was fantastic and within walking distance.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We recently spent our first week in Winter Park at this condo. It was very convenient - bus stop right across the street and the next stop was the slopes. Also there is a friendly ski rental place right across the street. The condo was exactly as advertised, with extra touches such as condiments in the cupboard, hand warmers in the welcome basket, and clear instructions for everything. It was quiet (except for the trains which go through Winter Park), the beds were comfortable, and the view of the mountain was great. Glad we found "at home in Winter Park." We would definitely stay there again. Lisa and Cathy were great, answering all my questions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My wife and I purchased this condo to enjoy all Winter Park has to offer all year round. The location is perfect as we can see the resort's slopes from our balcony. We love coming up throughout the year to relax and enjoy the mountains.

We chose Winter Park Place because of the spectacular views and convenience of quick access to the resort. The condo itself is very appealing and comfortable.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The Fraser River runs behind our building. The Fraser River Trailhead, used for biking and hiking, is just a couple of blocks away. The free winter resort shuttle stop is right outside the building and the ride to the resort takes only a couple of minutes.
