This was my wife's and I third trip to Cayman Brac. We stayed at Happy Hours the last two trips. This seaside rental is a beautiful piece of property. We enjoyed all of it's amenities to the fullest.Van our property manager met us at the airport, made sure we had everything to check in. He checked with us during our stay and was very prompt in addressing any questions or concerns we had and of course brought us a bottle of wine to toast the start of our vacation. My wife and I love this island with it's rugged beauty. Everyday we would choose an area of the island to explore or snorkel at, grab lunch items at a local market, return to our beautiful house on the beach and sip rum punches by the pool. Enjoy the warmth of the sun and the subtle island breezes. And as the sun would lower in the sky we would hop in the car and go to the west end near the airport and watch the glorious sunsets. After taking in the beauty we would either make supper at the house (the kitchen has everything you need) Or eat out. On Sunday night the Brac beach resort has a buffet reasonable priced and delicious. Tuesday night we ate at the Alexander Hotel and enjoyed their Barbecue at the outside bar and enjoyed the sweet sounds of Perry a local musician who played a beautiful Takamine guitar .The people of this island are very gracious and respectful. We rented kayaks one day from Sister Island Sports and kayaked the north side of the island, the waters are beautiful and sealife abundant. Another day we took advantage of the boat ferry from Sister island sports and spent a day exploring and snorkeling Little Cayman Island what a beautiful island also During our stay this time my wife sustained an injury and we had to make use of the local hospital, we are both medical professionals and were so impressed with their health system, highly trained professional staff and gracious care she received. We had such a beautiful, restful time there and look forward to our next trip and our next stay at Happy Hours Villa.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time...the pictures do not do this house justice. It has everything you could possibly need. We had our 9 month old with us and Van sourced a crib and high chair for us. Perry and Van were excellent, very attentive. We will be renting Happy Hours again no doubt. I toasted ( my husband doesn't drink) the Owners at our first sunset and thanked them for this fab house. Very very clean in and out...we were so impressed with everything. You get your monies worth! We live in Grand Cayman and my husband is from the Brac originally so we are here often, we usually stay at one of the condos down the road, but now we are spoilt we want to stay here every time ! We did bring our own meat from GCM as we were feeding 5 people and food is very expensive here, we found it much more econonimcal. One thing I would have to mention are the beds. We found them very hard. We used the sofas to sleep and padded the bed in the kids room. We made it (slightly sore) but thought maybe we are just used to our memory foam mattress. Thanks again. Can't wait to be callin Debbie with our next reservation. I would recommend this house to any one coming to the Brac.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family stayed at Happy Hours for two weeks and the house fit our needs exceedingly well. We have a three kids, including a baby, and Van and Tammy (the on-island hosts/managers) were helpful in sourcing a high chair and crib for us to use during our stay. The house and the grounds are definitely "as-advertised": clean, new and well-maintained. The ocean makes for a spectacular backdrop and view, but know that you'll not likely be doing much swimming or snorkeling here,or anywhere on the south shore of CB, for that matter. The beach consists of large stones and there's little sea life. Also, the beach is sadly cluttered with debris and garbage from Jamaica and Haiti. This is not the owners' fault, as this is ubiquitous on the entire length of the south shore, but it is certainly a blemish on an otherwise idyllic setting. The pool is absolutely wonderful. The depths are kid-friendly and it's well-maintained. We used it many times a day, especially when we were housebound while our baby was napping. Make sure that you rent a car as there are no amenities within a couple of miles (all of the services on CB are along the north shore of the island). We had no issues or problems of real significance during our stay at Happy Hours: the barbecue grill needs replacing because it is broken down and we never did determine whether we were responsible for consumables like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and the like (we ended up buying these ourselves). The dishwasher works poorly, but this is essentially because of the low water pressure on the island. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Happy Hours and would recommend it without hesitation. The value quotient is high, as well.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed at Happy Hours from 3/17/12 to 3/31/12. We loved the pool .... loved the fact that we could check out sea life as we were walking up the steps to the porch .... a turtle, a shark on several days, and a ray! Were able to snorkle one day briefely ... I was worried about that shark! Van was great and we loved Perry who took care of the pool and let us know about his band! We are not into night life ... love staying 'home' in a wonderful villa, watching the stars and listening to the waves, but listening to music a couple nights was great! We do hope to return! I can't say enought about the pool!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+.

Undoubtedly one of the loveliest places we have stayed in. Van and Tammy do a brilliant job of managing the property on behalf of the owners. You won’t find a cleaner holiday house. Attention to detail and all the amenities you can think of. The kitchen is so well equipped you’ll be surprised that there are no full - time tenants occupying the house! The back of the house is enclosed and overlooks the ocean - this is where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. The large deck surrounding the outdoor pool, which overlooks the ocean, and the pool lounges renders afternoon sunbathing simply irresistible. Van and Tammy go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Simply put we had an unforgettable time, on a most picturesque island where we just loved beginning and ending our day at Happy Hours. Our only regret was that the stay was too short! But we will be back and will definitely recommend Happy Hours to our friends on Grand Cayman.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your response. Please know that our Thank You for staying at Happy Hours Villa Home I would like to extend a free night stay your next return visit. All the best Deb US Property Manager

What a beautiful piece of property, the pictures of the property are very accurate but no picture can truly relay the sense of peace and tranquility both my wife and I experienced while staying at Happy Hours. It was so clean, comfortable and so beautifully decorated. The amenities enhanced our stay, allowing us to just relax and take in the beauty of the Brac. The Managers Van and Tammy were very helpful and oh so friendly.Van met us at the airport assisted me with our car rental, took us to the house and presented us with a lovely bottle of wine. Both Van and Tammy made us feel welcomed and promptly addressed any concerns or questions we had.I truly would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends. This was our second trip to the Brac and were able to balance relaxation with exploring and truly appreciate this beautiful island and it's friendly, respectful residents. We explored a few more caves this trip, snorkled one day at different spots on the island(check with Van he'll tell you where to go) Ate the local jerk chicken...delicious ! Also did the Tuesday Barbecue at The Alexander Hotel with Live entertainment had a great time. One evening we chartered a sunset cruise through Cool Breezes with Dwayne...what an experience seeing the sunset from the water...truly amazing. We so hope to return in the future. What a beautiful place..Happy Hours...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our hours at “Happy Hours.” The owner's description is accurate, honest and all too modest. Our expectations for the villa were exceeded by a large margin. The value/cost ratio is very favorable. The on-island hosts, Van and Tammy, were excellent. We have rented quite a few Caribbean villas and this one is at the top of our list for a return visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

I would just like to thank you for your excellent service on our marvelous stay at the Happy Hours Villa on the South Side of Cayman Brac. Thanks for meet us at the house with the keys and make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and for calling the next day to make sure everything was ok. The house is beautifully decorated (right on the beach with beautiful ocean views) and well furnished and very comfortable, which made us feel right at home, including internet and cable TV. The property is very reasonably priced for being on the beach and having a large swimming pool, which the kids really enjoyed. The beautiful and peaceful ocean views with the hammock was perfect for relaxing. The house location was quiet but yet near enough to groceries, etc. and it was just a wonderful 4 day stay. We will be recommending this rental and your services to all of our family and friends when visiting the Brac, we loved it so much we will be enquiring about renting it again for the christmas holidays.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Frank and Sharon were great property host. This was easy booking and a very reasonable cost. Everything was supplied at this home that I could possibly need. I am a diver and it was great to have an on-site area to clean my equipement. I could also walk right into the ocean from the property. What a great advantage! I planned this trip with my fiancee who is not a diver and with carefull review I chose this property because of the inground swimming pool and the outside seating areas that give many awsome views of the island. My financee was very comfortable and enjoyed the surrounding village flare. We are planning a return trip possibly our "Honeymoon". We will be contacting you Mr. Yost. High recommendations to my friends and business partners to book at your "Happy Hours." Thanks again for a smooth vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We appreciate your comments. Hope to see you again.
