The charm and coziness of this guest house and garden surpassed our expectations. Even the photos cannot capture the wonderful ambience. The guest house is nicely furnished. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. The view from the windows is of a beautifully designed backyard and garden, complete with a small coop with 3 happy hens. The owner was very responsive throughout our experience of renting and staying. Though we were not specifically doing activities in the Ojai area (having come to California to go to the Channel Islands National Park) we found the location perfect and a nice getaway from the slightly frantic business of the coast. It is a convenient drive from the coast and easy to find, located right in town but with a feel of being "away." We would recommend this rental highly.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

I meant to write a review the minute I got home. Great spot and perfect location to town and by the shops and farmer's market. The owners were lovely. The place was very clean and had all the perfect amenities. I wish I had bought the coffee that was thoughtly in the fridge because it was probably the best I have had in a long time. Next visit I 'll have to pick some up at the neighborhood coffee house.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This cozy hide-away is wonderfully close to town and very comfy. Amazingly spacious for a studio, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The grounds are lush and the windows large enough to create a sun-drenched interior. The weekend was very cool and threatened rain most of the time, but that didn't stop us for enjoying the very close walk to everything. And the heater in the hide-away made it so inviting just to lounge inside a read a good book. The bed was very comfy, the kitchen fully stocked, and the home grown oranges placed in a basket with local coffee was a nice surprise. We will be back! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The guest house is delightful. It's spotlessly clean with pretty views of the garden. The bed is comfortable and linens are very nice. I stayed for 3 nights with my dog and enjoyed spending time exploring Ojai and hiking. The location is very close to town, but also within walking distance of National Forest trails and a dirt road that skirts the town. Upon arrival I had a basket of homegrown oranges and lemons, local organic coffee, and a few chewies for my dog. I ended up having to do some work, so the wireless connection was a plus. I recommend this guest house!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This is a great getaway for couples. The studio is well maintained and beautifully decorated, and is a peaceful place to stay while still being a short walk from the stores of main street Ojai. All of the comforts of home and a much better experience than staying in a hotel. The owners are amazing and have put a lot of love into the property. Highly recommended!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

I would highly recommend this guest house rental for a couple or a couple with small children. My family and I stayed in this guest house in October and this was the first time we had used VRBO. The owner had nicely prepared a pack and play as well as a twin bed for my children. The house was nicely decorated in a "restoration hardware-style" rustic way. The guest house had very nice french doors that opened up to the private backyard. The kitchen was adequately supplied and the property is not far from grocery stores. Furthermore, the guest house was just down the street from shops including a great toy store and from the year-round Sunday farmers market. The owner gave us privacy when we needed it, but was also around when we had questions. Overall, we were very happy that we stayed in this guest house and we would certainly recommend the property to others.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This guest house had a feel about that made me feel really peaceful. I stayed there for a week and had the most wonderful time. Walking distance to the town. The guesthouse felt really private and the garden is a lovely place to sit and have lunch or drink tea. I will be going back to stay again and can honestly not sing enough praises about this place.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

The photos don't do this place justice! The guest house was by far the most charming, beautiful place we stayed our whole vacation. It's airy, full of light, and surrounded by beautiful citrus trees and cacti (we loved the little patio near the stream out back!). It felt like our very own little cottage. It's also in a great location with plenty of restaurants and wine rooms within easy walking distance, near some gorgeous hikes, and a short, easy drive down to Ventura if you want to spend a day in the Channel Islands. And you won't meet nicer folks than the owners. We're definitely hoping to stay here again next time we're in the area!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent two nights recently in this cottage. It proved to be quiet, private and clean with all the amenities. We appreciated having a working kitchen and patio area. Also, the location of this cottage was within walking distance of the small, downtown area where shops and restaurants were easily accessible.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
