Our cottage is located directly off of Cherokee Scenic Hwy 11 in Salem, SC. Located adjacent to The Cliff's-South, a private, gated community. Tucked away in a private, quiet cove, you will find some of Keowee Lake's best large mouth bass fishing! The floating dock directly below the house has moorings for two boats and a ladder to enjoy swimming in this crystal clear lake. Fall Creek Landing is just 5 miles from the cottage and less than 5 minutes by boat.
This location is an outdoor lover's paradise. Within just a few minutes drive you will find some of the SouthEast's most beautiful national forests and rivers. Whitewater Rafting, hiking and mountain biking abound in these beautiful mountains. Although secluded and private, nearby amenities include gas, groceries and even licensing for fishing! We are located on the Salem side of Lake Keowee, approximately 25 miles/40 minutes from Clemson University.

We stumbled upon this little cottage and loved it from the time we walked in, perfect for us and our "son" Jax, a 13 yr old mini schnauzer. The weather turned cooler while we were there, providing us with a glimpse of what's to come this fall as the leaves begin to change. The lake is crystal clear with wonderful coves for swimming and boating. Thanks to the owners for sharing a little slice of there hidden paradise with us ... We hope to be back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+.

Our family stayed for the weekend last month and can't wait to return. The home is unbelievably private, set nearly at the end of a private gravel road...there's not a sound to be heard! The house itself is lovely, with two adequate bedrooms and sleep sofa. Beautiful high ceilings and huge picture windows open onto a large deck with gas grill. But it's the floating dock that really makes this place a find...large enough to handle the owner's four Adirondack chairs, space for two boats (if you've got 'em) and a great ladder for swimming. The dock is just at the bottom of a series of steps and is nearly underneath the patio...we had no problem letting our teens sit out on the dock and gossip the night away by themselves. Also, the home is set far back in a cove so there is virtually no wave action, save for the occasional curious boat. We brought our dogs (one is 55 pounds, one is 65 pounds)...home is pet friendly with plenty of tile in the entry way and hardwoods throughout the rest of the house. It was a little tight with the three kids and the two bigger dogs together...will stick to one pet next time around! Dogs loved it though, as there were tons of great walks for them all around the house and road. There is a small grocery store with a breakfast and lunch counter located very close to the home (5 to 7 minute drive). Lots of high end goodies to be found in the store and the lunch counter was amazing...excellent quality and variety at a reasonable price. We definitely recommend this home without reservation...a hidden gem!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
