We had a wonderful time! The condo was very clean. The beds were very comfortable! Bikes are awesome to ride around the island without having to worry about renting. We had a light switch go out and I called the owner and he had someone fix it within an hour!!! Did I mention the rates are GREAT also! The location is very convenient to the beach and pier! Hoping to return again to make many more happy memories!!!

This was the 2nd time we rented from this owner. We found the condo grounds well maintained. The condo is very clean, nice furniture, comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and appliances, great stove/oven. Close to beach and village. Lots of fun things in the area to see and do. The owner was always polite and helpful. I came to St. Simons as a child every year. Alot has changed in 40 years and we plan to rent again in the fall.

Property was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. Bikes are wonderful -- how nice not to have to worry about renting. Owner provided some great restaurant ideas off the island and we enjoyed his suggestions very much.

Our stay at Island Townhouse has been very good. The proximity to the beach and the Village is excellent, and the bikes were very handy. We are especially impressed with the manner in which any/all of our questions were promptly answered by the owner/manager. As this was our first visit to SSI, we had no idea what to expect and are Most Impressed! We'll be back!

Lovely Condo on SSI

We have stayed at this condo 2 times now and it has not disappointed. Even better now with several nice upgrades (new TVs, bikes, ceramic tile, etc). Great location on SSI and can go by bike virtually anywhere we needed. The condo is clean and fully outfitted to cook if you want to eat in. Access to pool, tennis, ping pong, and laundry are a definite plus. We love SSI and will come back to this place. We would recommend to anyone as it is also a super value!

April Sister's Weekend

My mother and three sisters enjoyed 3 nights on St. Simon's Island the end of April. We had a wonderful time and made memories that will last forever. We visited the lighthouse on St. Simons Island and the Lighthouse on Jekyll Island. Our favorite excursion involved tracking down the carved sea spirits on the island. The condo was as described. Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us to visit!!

Staying at this condo was wonderful. The owner put lots of consideration to make this a home away from home. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos. A very nice location, safe and secure, clean, family oriented and quiet. No surprises or disappointments with this selection. Be sure to bring a bike lock so you can enjoy riding to the beach and the village. Will definitely return to this condo and highly recommend this property. It was a great, easy drive to this quiet get away, and we enjoyed our stay greatly!

Clean and Comfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks on St. Simons! The condo was very comfortable and very, very clean. We really like the attractive tile floors which are easy to keep clean of sand and such (no skeevy, damp carpet). The kitchen and especially the fridge were very clean upon arrival and included a few basic items (salt and pepper, sugar and such) which was nice. The owner was wonderful to deal with, offering great recommendations and responding immediately to questions. Working internet is very important to us for work reasons and it worked perfectly. The accommodations are similar to what we experienced at The Beach Club but it's half the price. You aren't right on the beach, but it's a three minute drive to East Beach (you could easily walk, but we had too much stuff!). You cannot beat it for the price! Our only disappointment was that the tennis court wasn't available, but that is apparently because they are about to renovate them. Plus there are public courts pretty close by. Be sure to go to Savannah for a tour and to eat at Mrs. Wilke's. On the island, our favorite restaurants are Blackwater (shrimp and grits), Barbara Jean's (Southern comfort food) and Sal's (fabulous pizza).

Just wanted to note how helpful the owner was in assisting us with a St. Simons rental. His condo was booked for the week we needed but he offered up some suggestions and we were able to get a place for the week we wanted. We will definitely check back on this place when we visit again.

We have stayed at this condo 3 times over the past 3 years and have absolutely loved it! We have 4 children and 2 adults in our family. It is a perfect location on the island-once we park our vehicle, we ride bikes the rest of the week anywhere on the island we need to go. The condo itself is very functional and homey. The beds are very comfortable and the condo is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We have never had an issue or a problem. Our kids love the ping-pong, tennis, and pool on site! The complex is family friendly and having the laundry room right by the pool is a plus! This is a no hassle rental- no extra fees, easy in/easy out, and the owner's tip sheet is a bonus! We absolutely love the condo, where it is located on the island, the ammenities, and have made fabulous family memories both on and off the East Beach.

My family has stayed at this condo several times and we love it! The owner is really easy to talk to and makes sure you have everything you need. It is located close enough to the beach or the village to reach by a bike ride (provided by owner). Everything is very clean and well furnished. There are wonderful restaurants on the island - don't miss Barbara Jeans' crab cakes. We hope to be there again in 2010.

I have been vacationing on St. Simons Island since I was a child and have stayed at many rentals. This condo is definitely one of the best places I have stayed. It is within a bike's ride to the beach or to the village.(which were provided by the owner) Everthing is well-cared for and clean. Furnishings were very nice and everything you need is provided. Owner was very easy to talk to. Hope to go back again in 2010!

We spent a wonderful vacation during Christmas at Condo #31552 which we saw on Home Away. The condo was very close to the village and the pier. It is bright, very clean and most confortable. There are many restaurants close by and loads of places to shop. We would love to go back in the spring or early summer. We recommend this place to all who love the coast!

Had a great time. A wonderful place to relax. The condo was very comfortable, I stayed in both F8 and F2, the ammentites were excellent, well mantained. The onwer was so very helpful and gave great advice on where to eat and places to go. The condo is located in the best place on the island,so easy to get to everything. This is a wonderful and comfortable place to stay - like a home away from home. The location is perfect - close to beach, restaurants, village. We walked every where and enjoyed taking the bikes as well. We really did not want to leave as evidenced by the fact that we altered our scheduled 3 days in Savannah down to 1 day just to stay in St. Simon's longer. It's a long trip for us but so worth it. I hope to spend 2 weeks next year and a whole month the following year. Owners were so easy to work with and very accomodating.

Great central location and very comfortable beds. Easy to ride around to all the areas whether by car or bikes. Kitchen had everything we needed. And the pool and ping pong became a favorite thing to do espcially while washing. Wi-fi in both condo and at the pool keeps you connected. Owner is pleasant to deal with, with no problems. We will be back and next year hopefully for two weeks!

Although I didn't get a chance to take my trip to St. Simons and stay at this property, I would like to comment on the wonderful cooperation I received from the property owner. First of all, when I decided to stay at this property and notified him, he was very cooperative, pleasant and always had a quick response to any questions I may have had. When I sadly had to notify him that I was not going to be able to make my trip, he upheld his refund policy and returned my deposit in a very timely manner. Hopefully, I will get a chance to visit St. Simons and this property next year.

Owner response:The kind comment is much appreciated. We would add that the refund policy is, that we refund 100% of what we can recover by renting to another party for the same dates. So far, we have always had enough notice from cancelling guests to give an 100% refund, but that may not always be possible if no other guest takes the cancelled dates. We simply want to be clear that we do not have a "guaranteed" refund policy, but instead, it depends on getting a substitute guest for the same dates.

We had a wonderful visit to the island! The condo is VERY clean and newly renovated. There is plenty of sleeping room and all the decor has a relaxed feel. The kitchen is well equipped and feels larger than it appears. The pool has been upgraded and is very nice. Bicycles are provided with this rental, which is a big deal on St. Simon's. It is in a great location, close to everything. The owner made this rental very quick and easy! My family really enjoyed this condo and all its "perks". We will certainly stay here again!

Our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable. The townhouse was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed. You know how sometimes you're disappointed when you actually get to a place you've rented? This unit EXCEEDED ALL of our expectations. Perfect location, clean, well maintained grounds, everything in working order (right down to the blender for those all-important margueritas!). The owners were very helpful with info about the area and the rental. We can't wait to come back. It was a perfect vacation spot.
