  We just completed a stay at the condo and wanted to share that it was fantastic and sleeping was great because you are so close to the ocean and sounds, that you are lullabied to sleep! If we have another opportunity to visit the island, we will definitely be back! The unit had all you need for cooking if you choose to and for your days at the beach. The only items we purchased that the unit didn't have were a few koozie cups to keep our drinks cold while beaching and insulated plastic cups with lids and straws for beach time. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise and mahalo!

  Patrice, I just wanted to thank you for an absolutely lovely stay at your condo. We loved Kauai and we thought that that the condo you provided was great! We enjoyed watching the sea turtles swim up while sitting on our lanai and snorkeling from right in front of the condo. The Poipu beach was great for swimming and learning to surf. We found that Poipu was a great spot to take day trips from and we were able to hike and go to beaches all over the island. We are in Maui now and we already miss Kauai. Thanks again! Sara

  We stayed in this unit in early August, 2012. We were very happy with our stay, it was so nice to be that close to the water. Within walking distance is the Beach House restaurant, a cozy beach with good snorkeling, and plenty of surfers to watch as the sun sets. We swam alongside a sea turtle at the beach, and watched several more from right outside our unit. We were running around so much I wish we had more time to spend relaxing on the patio. Although there is no AC, there are plenty of fans to keep you cool. And when we we needed a dust buster they had that too (tip: after a day at the beach, get in the shower before taking off your swimsuit). Our two kids easily shared the pullout bed. This unit is within walking distance (about a half mile) from a shopping center with restaurants, and within a quick drive of the rest of the action at Poipu. If you head to Spouting Horn (about a mile or two away) I would recommend also checking out the Botanical Gardens across the street. Even if you just walk around the entryway for free. It is great for picture taking and experiencing why the call Kauai the Garden Island. Plan a trip to Poipu Beach Park and Mahaulepu Beach as well for some great variety in the beautiful beaches you travel to Hawaii for.   We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It had everything we could possibly need! Watching the turtles feed everyday from the patio was such a joy. We were lucky enough to be there for the biggest surf of the year. It was so fun to watch the surfers around the corner. We didn't really have any problems with people walking by the patio. It was far and few between. We plan on staying here again next year! Terry was very accommodating and easy to work with!

  We stayed here in Aug 2011. We have stayed in Kuhio Shores a few other times but in different units. We found this unit to be fully equipped, ample of fans which were perfect. This was a really nice open floor plan. The bed was really comfy in the bedroom and the hideabed in the livingroom was not bad at all to sleep on. Bathroom was a good size. The unit is nicely updated and the ground level on the bay side was just perfect for sitting out there in the morning watching the sunrise. Been on the top floor ocean side everyother time we have come to Kauai and actually prefer the bayside ground floor. Nice to sit out on the grass and not so noisy with the waves. I would not hesistate whatsoever to rent this place again and will definately be coming back. Only thing that didn't work was the ice maker in the fridge? We survived that. Thanks again for the great memories.

  This condo was perfect for our vacation! It had all of the amenities and was very nice! It was very close to the water which made for a wonderful time sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset. All of the details were thought of (e.g., television in the bedroom, kitchen supplies, beach supplies). My husband loved it because he could walk to the surf break! I will be staying here again the next time I visit Kauai!

  We really enjoyed our stay there. The owner was very helpful and answered all our questions. The condo itself is very well situated and you are close to everything. Coming from Georgia, I was a little surprised to find that there are places without A/C, but there were plenty of fans available in the unit. Being on the ground floor you also sacrifice a little bit of privacy with people walking by the patio, but overall I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice place at a decent price.

  Owner response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Being oceanfront and with the nice tradewind breeze many buildings in Hawaii do not have or need AC. Also very "Green" to use natural cooling Vs energy consumption for AC. Being on the ground floor is very spacious and you can walk out onto the lawn and beach Vs having a contained upper floor lanai, we and other quests find that very few people walk by. We look forward to having you back again next year!

  We had a great stay here and would reccomend it to anyone. Beaches and restaurants are within walking distance so no need to drive unless you want to explore the rest of the island. The ground floor condo has everything we needed for our stay including very comfortable king size bed. You walk right out to the lanai and onto the lawn and to the ocean with no stairs. The location of the condo is away from the lobby and elevator so very quiet and private. We are coming back next year!
