  We only spent three days there over Christmas while traveling to Florida but would return again! Paula and staff were very accommodating and had many suggestions that helped us find the best spots for our short visit. Unfortunately, we couldn't hit them all with most everything closed for Christmas. Being pet friendly was our main reason for choosing this location. The unit was large, had a great screened in porch with an awesome view!! All the comforts of home and the beds/bedding are out of this world!! Everything went smooth from check in to check out and deposit was returned promptly.

  The photos do not do this unit justice. The big picture window in the great room looks out to a small clearing in the tall pines through which Oyster Bay is visible, a very calm and peaceful vista. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the screened balcony, watching the dolphins play and feast on the mullet. Clean and very well maintained, the condo is not far from the shopping, beach and restaurants in Gulf Shores, and enjoys the benefit of being in an area of private ownership rather than with a bunch of rentals on the strand. Sundai and Paula were most responsive to all our questions and accommodated our requests. There are plenty of towels and other linens for a lengthy stay and the condo is well-equipped in the kitchen, having an excellent array of dishes and serving items for the maximum number of guests. We ventured all the way to Fort Morgan, enjoyed the sights of sugary white sand beaches, intracoastal waterway, and the nature preserve. We highly recommend LuLu's for the food, fun and service, as well as Happy Harbor pizza. The biggest surprise were the scrumptious burgers and fries at Flippers at Bear Point in Orange Beach. We would love to have one of those here at home! After a fun day of exploring and walking the beach, it was great to come back to the condo, have "treat time" with our dog Baxter, a glass of wine and watch the beautiful and glorious sunset. Thank you for a lovely and comfortable place to enjoy our vacation! We have recommended this experience to friends and family, even putting it on my Facebook page, and will definitely be returning for an encore.

  We had a wonderful stay at Bay John! Location is perfect, just off the beaten path to the beaches and shops. The condo is just as described on the website, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was very helpful in answering any questions that I had, and returned the security deposit exactly one week from the date we left. My grandkids had a great time there, the two year old did not want to leave. He loved playing on the screened patio, as much as we loved sitting out there in the evenings. Would definitely stay there again!!!

  Our stay was way too short! It was Memorial Day weekend and we were in town for a family reunion. As expected, the whole area was jam packed with people-except Bay John. It was as calm and relaxing as anyone could want. Our commitments kept us from enjoying it to the fullest but early mornings sitting on the dock with my coffee were unmatched. Nicest people, awesome condo, and when everyone else was waiting for 2 hours to eat dinner on Saturday night we literally drove about a hundred feet from the entrance and had an awesome meal with no waiting. Excellent! Thanks Paula. We'd love to come back.

  Just got home today from our week long stay at Bay John. It was a fantastic vacation!! Our 2 boys (10 & 12) absolutely LOVED it!! They couldn't wait to get up in the morning and go fishing off the dock. It was so quiet and everyone at the complex was extremely kind and full of suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Nothing better than sitting on the dock, having my morning coffee and watching my boys fish...they even learned how to throw a cast net!! Definately plan to come back...may have to get a larger condo & bring the brother and sister-in-law along next time!! The location was fantastic too, only a short drive to beach, shops and eats. Happy Habor Pizza is amazing and Jake's Grill & Steakhouse was a favorite for all (lots of variety).

  We enjoyed ourselves immensely during our recent holiday visit! This was our second visit to the Bay John condos (first in December '09) and we hope to enjoy more visits. Paula "goes the extra" to make you feel comfortable and right at home. The listing and pictures of the condo and complex are very accurate. The unit was clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed our early morning coffee time watching the dolphins from the balcony -- way cool! One afternoon we soaked up the warm sunshine while sitting on the boat dock (something we midwesterners can't do in December!). The views from the very large south and west windows are so peaceful and beautiful, not to mention all the wonderful sunshine that comes in. And, the sun glistening off the water in the afternoon is fabulous! We love the location, both the beach and shopping in under 10 minutes. Check out Hope's Cheesecake, Happy Harbor pizza (walking distance from condo), and the Tin Top (those sauteed crabclaws are to die for!).
