Escape to the mountains in the spring and summer with beautiful trees and flowers blooming. Enjoy hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit Grandfather Mountain, or Linville Caverns. You might also enjoy a round of golf or a game of tennis at the nearby Sugar Mountain Resort. If adventure calls your name, plan a day of white water rafting with a local outfitter. For those who prefer the slower pace of life, a good book outside on the deck overlooking the mountains can be the best medicine, or fishing in a nearby stream/trout pond might better suite your style.
If you are visiting during the winter months, you will enjoy skiing or tubing on Sugar Mountain, or ice skating at nearby Beech or Appalachian Mountains. It is recommended that you have chains or 4-wheel drive during the winter months. There are great restaurants and shopping nearby. Free ski shuttle can pick you up within the complex. Skyleaf is located 1/2 way up Sugar Mountain. Our unit is a corner unit on the 2nd floor with a beautiful, unobstructed view. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a master bath, while the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and the family room has a queen sized pull out couch allowing our unit to sleep 6 comfortably. There is a 2nd full bath outside the 2nd bedroom. Check our calendar for rental availability.

I brought the family to Sugar Mtn. for a weekend of skiing. The condo we rented (315571) was exactly as it was presented in the VRBO listing. The condo held all of our gear without making us feel cramped inside. Getting the unit (and the kids) warmed up after a long day out on the slopes took only a few minutes! After a day of skiing my kids played out in the backyard, building snowmen and sledding down the small slope behind the condo. The condo was easy to get to from the common driveway and I really appreciated the shovel that was available outside to remove snow from the steps! All in all, the condo was everything it was advertised to be and when we come back we will be renting this unit again.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! The condo was perfect and exactly what we needed for the weekend. We had plenty of room, comfortable beds, and everything was clean and well kept. Perfect location~ very convenient to the ski slopes. Cathy~ thank you for making everything so easy for us and working with us. The kids are already looking forward to our next trip and asked that we stay in the same place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

We loved our accomodations! The condo is conveniently located to everything you need. We enjoyed the italian restaurant, Bella's, as well as Fred & Larry's (coffe and paistries), both of which are just at the base of the mountain. The condo is also located very close to ski shops and the Sugar Mountain entrance. We enjoyed breath taking views from the condo and had plenty of room for the four of us. I can't wait until our next trip!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was the 2nd time my family and I stayed and its still the best unit. So private and peaceful. The new flat screen in the master bedroom was an added surprise. New appliances in the kitchen were a nice bonus also. I love how easy Cathy makes renting and I think I received my deposit back before we even unpacked. The best part to me is the view. When you sit in the living room the views are unobstructed, no other buildings, no parking lots, just open space. Trees and mountain views as far as the can see. If you are looking for a homey relaxing place to unwind, this is perfect. The Bagleys were as always accommodating and as nice as can be!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you so much Ilene. We were glad to have you back and appreciate your comments as well. We hope you and family will come again to relax and ski. All the best, Rob and Cathy

We recently met our daughters and their young families in the NC mountains for a weekend. We used this condo and one other. This 2nd story condo had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with the essentials. We will stay here again. Oh yeah, and the back deck has a great view of the mountains!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Had a lovely time at this very adequate condo, clean and beautiful view, nice space for two couples and a little baby who slept snugly in a large window seat in one of the bedrooms. A bit tricky figuring out the heat and too bad the fireplace could not be adjusted since it was REALLY hot and we did not want to open windows. Very convenient for the skiiers and the owners really helpful in making our stay pleasant.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

Cathy and Rob were great. The condo was charming and very cozy. Everything was clean and orderly. The master bedroom was very comfortable. Oh and the Trivia Game for dummies provided us with many hours of laughs and family fun. The kitchen equipment although dated worked just fine. The only 3 slight criticisms we would have is the hot water tank isn't very large and you run out of hot water pretty quick. 1 or 2 ppl showering is about all until it fills back up. The TV in the master is small.. but works just fine.. and a new can opener is definitely a necessity. Best part of the condo is the view at night.. on a clear night its magical with all the lights on the facing mountain all light up. I can imagine how beautiful it would be in the warmer months to have dinner on the porch. The condo is also very warm. We run cold and generally can't ever get warmed up.. Not a problem with this location.. it was very warm and cozy after a day on the slopes. Thanks Cathy and Rob for all your help with our trip. It was def one for the scrapbook! Owner response: We are glad you had a nice family trip. We are updating the condo this spring, which will include painting and new carpeting.

We just got back from Sugar Mountain. This condo was very roomy and clean. The balcony view was beautiful and the kids had a great time skiing on Sugar. The drive up the mountain (which I think is about half way) is beautiful. The condo was actually a little more roomy than a three bedroom we stayed in last year. Thanks for renting to us...Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad you had a great weekend full of fun. We hope you will call again when you need another 'sugar' fix! Rob and Cathy

We have stayed all over Sugar Mountain and this was by far my favorite experience. From working with Cathy to arriving to check out it was all easy as can be. The bedrooms were both a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. The view off the back balcony was beautiful. There are no condos behind it so it was perfect for kids to go outside and have plenty of roon to play. The laundry and trash were very close (didnt even have to walk 50 feet). The slopes were an easy walk as well, so we didnt need the shuttle. I would definately book again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Very nice, spacious ,comfortable and the best location in the NC mountains. Quiet parks nearby with boating, fishing and relaxing. Fun to explore the surrounding towns, mountains and of course you can spend days on the Blueridge parkway just down the road. Lots of crafts and artist nearby with real bluegrass clogging you have to experience before you leave. Had the best trout fishing float trip of my life.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Owner info
About the owner: This condo has been in the family 20 years, starting with my parents buying it for an escape from the Florida heat. We now enjoy bringing friends up to ski with our family. Our children love snowboarding and skiing. There are hiking trails available for all level hikers with breathtaking views along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We hope that you will enjoy our cozy haven as much as we do.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
For spring and summer rentals, being outdoors is a real treat in the mountains with the cooler temperatures and beautiful vegetation blooming. Fresh mountain air and as much activity, or as little activity as you wish. In the winter months, you will be walking distance to Sugar Mountain ski slopes if you choose skiing. Sugar Mountain also has tubing for those not looking to ski or snowboard. Another option maybe to sit in the ski lodge and be a spectator of the skiers and enjoy some hot chocolate. You can also enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, overlooking the mountains. Our kitchen is equipped with whatever you may need to create a home cooked meal-including crock pot.
