"Whether you are a Padres fan or another team, go catch a game if you can, this park is something to see - amazing views of the city and a great park to catch a ball game. They have a little field for the kids to play on in the grassy area (those seats are just $5, so it's actually affordable too). Get your hotdogs and popcorn and cracker jacks and check out a day or night game, it will be fun no matter what!"

"It might be under construction, but it is pretty quick both getting in and out...you only need to be there a little over an hour to leave domestic flights and 2 hrs for international...only a 20 min drive to the house."

"Another GREAT amusement park for all ages, they also have a water park for the summer time...about a 45 min drive from this house. Best for the younger kiddos...parents will have fun here too. "

"Surf, Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding, boogie boarding, swimming, tanning. This is so much fun - great restaurants featuring cuisines from all over the world, and relatively inexpensive in comparison to down town or La Jolla/Del Mar eateries. Lots of great shops (many thrift stores too), tatoo places, Sushi and cheap beers to boot. Best for the young adult crowd for the night life...Daytime is fun for all...there is also an amusement park with a roller coaster in Mission Beach at Belmont Park - many great surf shops too. Bring your bikes and blades or rent them there, plenty of places to rent equipment including surfboards and wet suits!"

"The Superbowl of Comic Book Nerds descends upon us annually at the SD Downtown Convention. If you can get tix (the sell out in minutes annually) then you should check it out. Even if you don't have tix to the venue, go downtown and just check out the people dressed up, it is like Halloween in July!"

"So fun...great to check out the Hotel Del Coronado and bike around the island. It is like a small town feeling when you arrive on the island - warning...go the speed limit, they are sticklers for that and will ticket you for going just 1 mile over the limit - especially right when you drive off the bridge - which by the way is an amazing bridge to drive over. If you don't want to get out of the car and walk around for the day, at lease drive over the bridge and then turn around and leave, its truly something to partake in before you go home!"
