Everything in the house was nice and clean when we arrived. The hot tub, pool table, and ping pong table were all used during our stay and they were all in great shape. Lori was excellent in returning our calls and answering our questions. The view was spectacular during breakfast. Bottom line --- you can't go wrong renting this spot for your next stay in San Diego. Thank you for your hospitality!

We returned for the 2nd time to enjoy this wonderful home. The location is great with easy access to all that SD has to offer, the views are beautiful, the home is clean, has lots of room and is very up to date. A great value for a vacation home in San Diego with plenty of room for a family. We look forward to next year and another stay here. The owner is very professional and easy to work with and I have recommended it to family and friends. Mary Lou Donnegan

If you are group of adult fellas who want to have a great place to stay this is the spot. Great neighborhood, great view, pool table, cool center island, great breezes and did I mention the hot tub. The house is well maintained and decorated in good taste and ready to be enjoyed. Lori is extremely easy to work with, flexible, capable, and determined to make your stay one of the best experiences of your life. Thanks again and we'll definitely be back.

Our San Diego sister arranged the rental of this home for our stay during her wedding week/weekend. The home was exactly as described in the ad. Clean, comfortable, beautiful views, easy drive to all of the city, convenient location to grocery & gas. Hummingbirds were amazing. The weather was freakishly hot during our stay (100's and up) but creative use of fans during the night helped to cool off the house.

We found that the house was very clean and in an excellent location. The view from the backyard was lovely ,and the picture on the website does not do it justice.

My family and another family converged on San Diego for a wedding. We both have two kids between 7-11 years old. The general areas were large and spacious. The kitchen was large and the ping pong/pool table was a huge hit. The view was awesome and could see fireworks from Sea World. The drive to the beaches or to the Stadium is 20 minutes which is pretty close. There was a huge supply of kitchen ware, towels, 5 boggy boards, an umbrella and all of the other amenities. The back patio area had two large tables and chairs next to the hot tub. We were gone during the day and when at the house there was a nice breeze at night that cooled the house down. All in all this was a great house to stay at that was within minutes of a grocery store or the huge Fashion Valley Mall. You can stay two blocks off the beach and pay double or even more. We would stay again! Nice area!

I rented this house for me and a group of friends ahead of Comic Con 2012. I had some transaction problems on my end to begin with when paying the deposit but the landlord was extremely considerate and comfortable to communicate with. At arrival I was astonished at how the house was exactly as I had imagined, and was promised, and I mean this in the best of ways. The house was topnotch, it's located in a very secure and cozy neighborhood and the honesty and helpfulness of the landlord make this house a great getaway for any sort of group (I'd imagine), family or otherwise. Overall I couldn't have been more pleased with the house and wouldn't hesitate returning if ever I were to venture to San Diego again.

We stayed for a week with two kids and brother and sister, had plenty of room, Lori outlines everything around town perfectly. Beautiful mountain views, great patio, hotub was wonderful. Easy to get to all attractions and beach. Would stay again in a heartbeat, can't wait to get back! Ready to book again now and so is the rest of my family!

We had a great experience while at this rental. The home was clean, there were towels for the beach, beach towels and boogie boards. We ran out of gas for the BBQ pit and Adam was there at 8AM the next morning replacing the tank. We would definitely stay there again when we visit San Diego.

There is also a train & carousel to enjoy while you are visiting. Open all year round and is fun to go rain or shine! I recommend going first thing in the morning, there are many animals out then being fed and waking up - also, it is not so hot if you are going during the summer! "

"San Diego was set to play host to the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, and “City Park” was a less-than memorable or distinctive name for such an internationally prestigious event. In 1910, Park Commissioners announced plans to re-name City Park and the public was eager to throw potential names into the hat, including: San Diego Park, Silver Gate Park, Horton Park and Miramar Park. After months of discussion and great public interest, the Park Commissioners decided on the name Balboa Park, chosen in honor of Spanish-born Vasco Nuñez de Balboa, the first European to spot the Pacific Ocean while on exploration in Panama."

                      Owner info

                      Year Purchased: 2001

About the owner: I am a 38 year resident of Southern California and grew up in San Diego almost my entire life. My husband has lived her for over 13 years and is a transplant from VA. We just got married in July 2011 & had a baby boy in Nov. 2011, so we are enjoying being first time new parents. I am a licensed Realtor and love my job and can help you with homes to purchase if you'd like to see listings during your stay. Our house is really well maintained and we have only happy visitors! I make it my mission to make sure your stay is pleasant and provide you with a wealth of information in our 'welcome book' and are available to help you with any questions during your stay. I live just 2 miles away from our home and can assist with anything during your stay. I only manage this one home and you get the best customer service from me!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
Walking distance to Mission Trails Regional Park (biking, hiking and walking trails steps away from the home), on a gorgeous canyon with open views of the city and it is a one story home!

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Centrally located to all sites and parks - just about 15-20 mintues to get to all attractions San Diego has to offer - go to the beach without the beach prices and get away from the old run down places the beach has to offer for less! We also offer beach equipment - chairs, towels, boogie boards and coolers...all set - just load up the car and go. Also the weather in Tierrasanta is often better than the beach and gets the morning sun sooner than the beach area and stays light and warmer longer into the day than the oceanside rentals....Tierrasanta is known as the Island in the Hills, and is one of the safest neighborhoods in San Diego County!
