Property description

Located on the north end of the world acclaimed Kaanapali Beach, Paki Maui is its own island of tranquility. Paki Maui is a four-story, three building, 108 apartment structure located directly on the ocean with a sand beach and a double-reef so you can swim and snorkel in safety and comfort. This complex also offers a large grassy lawn area that fronts the beach where you can sit comfortably under the palm trees and gaze out on the islands of Molokai and Lanai and where you can enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon umbrella drink. Whale shows are frequent from mid-November through March and every sunset is amazing!

The Koi pond, lush gardens, and ocean surf all lend to creating a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotels. Our unit, number 119, is a one-bedroom one-bath ground level garden apartment that reflects that sense of peace and harmony. Situated in the midst of the lush tropical garden, you feel the seclusion and the fragrance of the ginger plants adds to the ambiance. The trade winds continually blow and keep this shaded unit cool and comfortable-no need for air conditioning. Here’s a tip: The best spot on the island for a meal is on your lanai. We all enjoy going out every now and again, but the Paki is so relaxing that barbequing and fixing a meal “in” can be the perfect conclusion to a perfect day on Maui. The professionally designed kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to whip up a gourmet meal or a casual snack. The bathroom has a thermally controlled European shower system for your comfort. The bedroom offers a queen size bed and an efficient custom-made closet system in which to keep your island attire during your stay. There is free WIFI Internet, cable TV, and a room safe. You are steps away from the cabana area where you will find a swimming pool, spa, picnic tables, and Jenn-Aire barbecue grills surrounded by granite countertops. Washers and dryers are located on each floor for your convenience.

There is a Times grocery store just a 5 minute walk south, along with a Subway, Jazzin’ Java, and several other stores. Directly across the street is Ohana Tacos, Honokowai Okazuya for the best deli on the West Side, and The Fish Market for the freshest catches around. Just a few steps north is Bad Ass Coffee (Maui’s version of Starbucks) and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is host to a Farmer’s Market in their parking lot, where you can buy fresh produce and other island delicacies.

Room rates are plus tax (Hawaii General Excise tax of 4.167% & Transient Accommodation tax of 9.25%) and a one-time cleaning fee of $100 will be added to your total stay. There will be an additional $50 cleaning charge for occupancy over 2 persons. We can arrange for additional cleanings at your expense if you wish. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay.

1/2 of the total rental with a non-refundable security insurance premium due at booking ($49) and the remaining 1/2 due 30 days prior to arrival date.

Cancellation policy: If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, the payment(s) is forfeited. If cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, you will receive a refund less any processing and/or penalty fees.

About the owner: This was our first home on Maui and we enjoyed it so much we decided to share our aloha and offer it as a vacation rental. We lived in this apartment for 6 years and maintain it to the highest standards. We love the entire Honokowai/Kahana/Napili area so much that we still live a short distance away and are usually available to answer any questions or meet any special requests. In fact, we look forward to meeting you during your stay!
