My husband, son and I are repeat guests at this amazing home. Beautifully situated on the waterfront and surrounded by trees, this vintage rental was exactly what we expected. The deck was perfect for grilling and enjoying the sunset. The house was comfortable and quiet and every detail of the house made our stay memorable. The kitchen was great for cooking for a crowd and the bedrooms very spacious and comfortable. The property is well maintained and i would recommend this house to families, romantic getaway seekers, creative people who have a love for all things vintage.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Thanks for a great weekend! We really enjoyed being at the house. Grilling out on the deck while the sun sets was a highlight. Such a beautiful area. I like the set-up of the house too--the big common area (i love those orange chairs!) is great for spending time with everybody--but the bedrooms being in a separate area allows for nice privacy when you need it. We enjoyed it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was our first stay at a VRBO rental. Our expectations did not match the reality of this house. The location and the views were very nice, but the house was worn and dated. We were told to bring sheets and towels in the contract, but coming late from out of town we didn't have enough for the two rooms. Soap and toilet paper were also not supplied and the bed spreads and pillows were not clean. The first night was a little rough. The next day we had to find and store to buy everything. The owner was helpful, but there was a miscommunication on the expectations.Owner response: Dear VRBO, We're sorry if the tenant didn't appreciate the vintage character of our waterfront home which we try to convey in the link, text and photos of our listing. He told us he was spending several days with family in Manhattan before arriving to our home, and would bring linens from there. We do provide linens if requested. Our home is regularly maintained, professionally cleaned with the laundry done. With two and a half bathrooms, soap and bathroom tissue are always at the top of the checklist. Over the many years of repeat tenants, we always try to address our renters' needs, and very rarely have had anything but very happy vacationers.

About the owner: We are a New York City based family who has been coming to our house on Three Mile Harbor for over forty years. Two children have enjoyed many summers of swimming among the gentle waves in the harbor, and playing on the lawns and around the trees. We have always loved coffee in the harbor breezes and eating our dinners on the deck while we watch the beautiful sunsets...and we hope you do to.
