My husband and I had a fantastic stay in the Gardenia Suite. This suite has the blue bedroom and green bathroom and is as it appears in the pictures, clean, good size, with a view of the beach. The kitchen has a bar sink, bar fridge and across the room is the microwave, toaster oven, kettle and blender. There is a two burner hot plate as well. This suite has a powder room and four piece en suite, we always had lots of hot water. There is one small flat screen TV in the living room. There did not appear to be many channels but you can rent movies in Princeville's grocery store. The lanai was good because it was covered from sun or rain with a table and chairs and the hammock was perfect. Across the street are public bathrooms (which face the beach) and a parking lot, which was never a problem for noise and it was far enough away to not be intrusive. The street is small and busy with cars during the day. Everything is quite at night except for the roosters and they are all over the island. Maile was great and I felt a lot of confidence booking with her. I would highly recommend this vacation rental and we will definitely return for another visit.

My family and I have vacationed at the Hanalei Villa two years in a row and are already planning our trip for next year! We love the house and the location is unbeatable! The house is a always clean and the owners are so helpful. You can walk everywhere from this house! My husband and I take our baby on a walk into town every morning to get coffee at Hanalei Coffee Roasters. We love Hanalei Bay. It is perfect for the whole family. There is surf for my husband and safe places to swim for the kids. I have recommended this home to all my friends and will continue to do so.

Our time on Kauai was amazing. We love the island and love this house. The house is very comfortable and clean. I could watch the ocean from pretty much every room of the house. We felt like we were outside even when it rained because of the large windows and covered balconies. The jacuzzi tubs are great to relax in after a day of hiking and exploring. The owners leave bikes at the house for guests use which was great. We could easily bike or walk into town if we needed anything. Make sure to try Pats tacos at the pier..mmm. We will be back again for sure :)

I absolutely loved staying here. The location was so ideal. We were right in the middle of Hanalei, across the street from the beautiful bay. We could walk to dinner, breakfast, and beach. The home is very nice, with wonderful accommodations.

Beautiful villa at a perfect location!

We stayed at the Hanelei villa for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The location is directly across from the beach, which has amazing sunsets. Also, we were very close to the shops and restaurants, which was walkable. It was truly a pleasure staying here and we plan on coming back in the future!

Perfect location for a vacation with young kids

We rented the plumeria suite for a summer vacation with our 4 and 6 years old kids. What a perfect location! A few steps from the wonderful Hanalei Beach, and a short walk to Hanalei's restaurants and shops. The kids absolutely loved it, and are already planning for next year... Mahalo!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This was our first Hawaii/Kauai/Hanalei experience and we are over the moon! The villa was all that we hoped for in accommodations for our stay. Maile, the website/blog and emailing responses were what sealed the deal-- you were such a pleasure to work with and so helpful. We loved working our way through your recommendations and found them uber useful. The front porch was where we began our days and honestly we couldnt have chosen a better spot. We fell in love again and look forward to making this an annual tradition. Spiritually, it was a very refreshing chance to listen and spend time with the creator. Thank you for sharing your home-- we treated it as if it was ours.

Heavenly Hibiscus Suite

My hubby and I enjoyed our 4-night stay in the Hibiscus suite of this large home, which would also be a great place for a family reunion if a larger group wanted to reserve more than the one suite. Our suite was roomy and comfortable--big spa tub, spacious kitchen, and a terrific view of the nearby surf and beach from our crow's nest deck. You just walk across the street to the beach. There's also a nice lanai for dining as well as a breakfast bar between the kitchen and living room. The neighborhood was nice and walking distance from the town of Hanalei. We also enjoyed a ride to the pier and around the neighborhood on the bikes at the property. Oh yes, the laundry room is a great asset

Wedding Crashing Hanalei

I just got back from a beautiful wedding ceremony with my wife. We were able to rent out the entire house for the rest of the family to stay in. It's right next to the beach, close to town and the house is a perfect setup for a group holiday but with enough division to tuck away and have some private time, with an ocean view. House was spacious and clean. We even scored surf while we were there. We'll def be back in the future.

The Hibiscus Suite is great! We were excited by the pictures when we booked the place and ecstatic when we actually walked into the suite. This place is beautiful! Open layout, cathedral ceilings, windows everywhere! Fresh flowers on the counter when we arrived. The house is literally across the street from the public beach access site. There were 4 bikes to ride in and around town! Last but not least, Joni and Edi are genuine and made us feel right at home. Thank you, we will be back

We had a lovely relaxing time in Hanalei in this rental. Across the street from the Pavilion Park (& beach) so just steps away. The park was noisy at times but never late in the evening. Easy short walk in to town for meals, groceries, shopping. The unit was spacious, very comfortable, clean, and generally as advertised. The owner had nice & useful recommendations for dining, etc.

Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. The location could not have been better for our family! It provided us with the perfect holiday in a very special place...a place we hope to visit each winter. - checked the surf by merely lifting my head from the pillow! - bike rides with our son every morning... - runs on the beach... - a sea of stars every night on the roof top deck... - brief walk to town for dinner/groceries/art/morning java... - a few short steps to the beach... - lovely owners to welcome us and make us feel totally at home... Perfect Family Vacation

The Hanalei Villa was the perfect home for our family. We came to Kauai with my three children and my brothers two kids and spent 10 fantastic days in paradise. We had considered several other houses when making our travel arrangements, and could not be happier with our choice. Location, location, location! We had planned to do more sightseeing and other activities while here, but we found that we could not tear ourselves away from beautiful Hanalei Bay. We walked everywhere-- town, beach, and the amazing farmer's market. The house is across the street from a beach access and literally blocks from shopping and surf board rentals which everyone loved! The outdoor shower is heaven after a day of surfing. The house was perfect for just hanging out and playing games in the evenings. There are tons of areas to hang out so everyone could do what they wanted. The kids had space to play and the adults had privacy. The outdoor lanais are perfect for sunset dinners, you can sit outside for hours listening to the waves. I spent many afternoons reading and taking naps in the hammock. We felt truly spoiled the entire time we've been here. Maile was very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend it and hope to return again.

What I really liked about the villa was the location ,just steps to the beach and close to town .I felt more like I lived there versus staying in a Hotel. Walked to the cafe in town (5 min) every morning- great coffee and breakfast -try the fruit smoothies- excellent!.By far the best location I've ever had in the bay..Being a surfer I especially enjoyed the access to the surfboards and the outdoor shower , definitely a plus..The surf was really good up and down the Bay! I was there with a wedding party and shared the villa with 10 others we never had a problem with space surprisingly. The Kitchen was large and nicely equipped with new appliances and a great view..The property manger was very sweet and pleasant gave great recommendations..I will be coming back in the summer!

Great stay in Hanalei

I rented the entire house for my 40th birthday and we spent an awesome week in Hanalei. I had 8 of my friends fly in from different parts of the world, and we all stayed in this house together. This was definitely the most pleasant vacation I've ever had. The island itself is majestic, but the villa was more than we expected. Steps from the beach and so close to town, it was perfect for our group. The location made it easy for us all to do our own thing-- some wanted to surf, others hung on the beach, some did yoga or just chilled in town. The owners had three bikes for us to use and I biked every morning to the end of the road (20 minutes away) and back. Surfing in front of the house is AMAZING!! There is something for everyone. I couldnt have asked for a better birthday. I would highly suggest this place to anyone.

Wonderful house and perfect location

A year ago we began our search for the perfect location to celebrate our 5th Anniversary and we were lucky to find the Hanalei Villa. We are constantly traveling so for us the ideal vacation was one that allowed us the freedom to relax in a quiet atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty.. we definitely found it at this lovely home. The kitchen was excellent, allowing us to make fantastic meals for ourselves and my wife loved the hammock. The location made it easy to ride your bike into town for dinner out, a quick trip to the farmers market and best of all, a stroll down to the beach at any time of day or night. The rooftop lanai is INCREDIBLE! No other house in the neighborhood has a lanai like this and we absolutely loved it. We sunbathed in the day and spent every evening lying under the stars. We are huge fans of the North Shore and this was by far our best trip. It was due mostly to this beautiful and spacious home. Two weeks left us feeling like we wanted more but were ready to face our busy lives again. We cant wait to come back next year!

The vibe and character of this rental blended in with the culture and you cannot beat this location! I walked into little Hanalei town every morning to grab coffee and all you need to do is cross the street to get to the beautiful beach. Maile was very helpful and I was very pleased with my experience there!

My stay at this vacation rental was such a treat. The house itself is huge, it sleeps 12 people and so it made perfect sense to invite my entire family on a trip to Kauai with me. When we checked in, the place was very clean and provided all the amenities that we needed. I'm not of a going out to eat type of person so it was lovely to have a kitchen with all of the cooking ware that we needed to prepare meals for the family. Another pleasure about staying here was that you are literally footsteps from the spectacular Hanalei bay, and with in walking distance to town. The property is located in a quiet residental neighborhood and is well maintained. The owners were very helpful when I had questions about the place and had a very quick response time. I can't wait to go back to Kauai and stay here again. Such a lovely place
