The property (1427 sq ft) has three very good sized bedrooms (two each with a King and a third with a Queen and two twin beds - there is also a pull out Queen sofa bed in the living room). The two King bedrooms have an en suite bathroom and there is a third (communal) bathroom off the dining area. The bathroom en suite for the master bedroom has a whirlpool bath. The dining area has a large table for 6 and a full kitchen. The living area has ample sofa and sitting space, with balcony windows leading to an excellent deck with great views of the mountain. Wifi broadband internet is available.
For families or a group of two families, the property is EXTREMELY close to the indoor swimming pool and the indoor Funzone, the latter having games galore and several large inflatable fun slides and play structures. Balsams is also within a short walk to the village, though the resort has regular shuttle buses every few minutes if you want or need them.

Wonderful place for a family, all the bedrooms were large, the living space was ample. We'll be back when we visit Smuggs again. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

About: Our family lives outside of Boston MA, we have two small boys who are loving the skiing at Smuggs. We have been going to the resort annually ever since our first son was born in 2004, drawn mainly by the Family-friendly atmosphere at the resort and also the excellent child daycare ("Treasures") facility. We have had excellent experience with the ski day camps for our kids from 3yrs old updwards. As adults, we have enjoyed the best of Colorado and the Alps and always enjoy the challenges and beauty of Smuggs' three mountains. For 17 yr old teenagers the resort might be a little quiet, for young parents with young families, we think it is ideal.
Why Smugglers Notch:
Balsams is one of the most modern condo complexes at the resort, we loved the space of the 3BR and 3 BA layout and we also wanted be able to come to Smuggs with all of our family for many years to come.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The Balsams condo unit is the closest one to the pool and the Kids Funzone (maybe 120 seconds walk away), ideal for burning off excess energy that the little ones have. Balsams is walking distance to the village centre where the ski lifts are, but the resort does have a regular shuttle bus if you need or want it. Unique to Balsams is the lower ground floor private gym/exercise room and the sauna that Balsams guests can and do use. The sauna is a real bonus.
