  If you feel a need to relax and de-stress, this is the place to be! This little cottage is plenty big enough! There were eight of us (two families of four) but yet we never felt crowded! There is a nice big picnic table on the covered back porch where we ate most of our meals. Morning coffee was usually taken on the back porch on the swing. Some of us would be on the pier fishing or bird watching, while others were out on the boat. The Adirondack chairs out back were perfect for evenings out under the stars! The selection of board games and movies was a nice touch as well! We thoroughly enjoyed playing the trivia game! (Boys vs Girls... Girls won of course!) All in all, just a great week! Look forward to returning soon! Thank you so much Tim and Cindy for sharing your lovely cottage with us! (BTW, Tim and Cindy are VERY EASY to work with!)

  This place is PERFECT. Tim and Cindy have thought of absolutely everything, and you could not ask for easier owners to deal with. I literally felt like we stepped into their home and were house sitting for them. There were movies, puzzles, board games, and even toys for the three year old in our party. Even though the weather did not cooperate, it did not matter, there is a covered back porch with a picnic table, a fire pit and a porch swing. OOH YEAH, there is also your own private pier. This is also the ONLY house in the neighborhood that has easy access to the water. I could go on and on. I can promise you that my family will not vacation any where else! Thank you Tim and Cindy, we will we you again this summer, Adam Collins.

  We spent a month at this place. It was great. The house was clean, stocked with everything we needed. The owners were very accommodating and helpful.

  We loved the cottage by the water. It's so peaceful there. We're very impressed with the accommodations. Everything was very clean! Seeing this cute little house decorated in a seaside theme made it all the more enjoyable. Great books & games available if you get tired of the beautiful weather and scenery. Thank you Cindy & Tim!   What a great place.... Let me start by saying the description of the property is very, very accurate. Three bedrooms with big, comfortable beds, a large bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchen, all super clean. And what a great view looking out across the bay right from the living room. Very, very nice. Out front was a huge lawn area with plenty of space for the kid's to spread out the slip'n'slide we brought with us, play croquet, frisbee, just ton's of space to play around on. Comfortable chairs, a large picnic table, firepit and grill under the covered patio all looking out across the bay was a perfect place to relax. And the lighted fishing pier. Oh boy, that was so much fun to go night fishing. I'm so glad all of us reeled in a few trout, a few catfish. We even managed a few blue crabs in the crab traps provided. Our stay was tons of fun... Cindy, the owner, replied promptly to every one of my questions and made the whole renting process an absolute breeze. I'm looking forward to returning some day soon. Thanks!!!

  The owners are extremely easy to work with and paid great attention to every detail. As an example, there were reading glasses in a basket with several novels and chocolate mints by the bedsides. The nautical decor made you feel right at home on the Gulf Coast. Crab traps were available for use and just about anything you'd need to have a great fishing experience. Our family definitely wants to return next year.

  My experience here was amazing and peaceful. I enjoyed the stay so much that I came back again and will keep coming back again and again. My family loves it alot here and friends ask about this place when they see our pictures. This place is really affordable and the owners are great people who treat their clients like family members. This place is a Fisherman gettaway as well. You will catch crabs and many fish. My biggest catch was a Red Drum weighing almost 30lbs and 43" long on this private pier. Amazing place to stay!!!!

  Owner response: I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture of the redfish Joe caught while staying at our bayhouse. We couldn't get over it until we saw another red just as big last week end diving into the water right by the pier. It really is amazing. Another thing that renters really enjoy are the dolphins that swim in and out of the pier on a daily basis. They aren't afraid at all of humans and really seem to enjoy the locale. A dolphin family of three are regular visitors:) More pictures to come......

  The property was exactly as described; and when we arrived, music was playing and a candle was lit in the kitchen...very welcoming and inviting! The best feature is the full-length porch out back with the swing, BBQ pit and picnic table. The owners were very helpful and the cost was very reasonable. My son got some crabs from the traps and caught a couple catfish, which made the trip for him. Neighbors also friendly in this small community.

  Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! My family and I stayed at this rental in April. When we first arrived there was soft lighting and music playing, it was very inviting. There was a total of 7 of us and there was defiantly enough space. We all (including my 2 year old grandson) enjoyed the view and just sitting on the back porch watching the active wild life. We got to do some fishing, crabbing and lots of oysters right at the waters edge. The setting was beautiful for both sunrise and sunset. The first day we were there we seen dolphins swim right up to pier, everyone was so excited, an event none of us will ever forget. The little house offered so many amenity's, fully stocked and ready for guest. My husband and I re-newed our vows on the pier and we could not have asked for a better day or setting not to mention the owners had a little something special for us waiting there. We all wanted to make plans that week to return next year or sooner. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

  We stayed the weekend with our grandkids and everyone had a great time! This cute cottage is comfortable and clean,equipped with everything we needed and more.The kids had a blast catching fish off the pier and the bay view off the large back porch is fantastic! The owner was very accomadating and a delight to deal with. We can't wait for the opportunity to stay again!

  My husband and I came down to get away. We didn't get there until late on Friday night. When we got there all the outside lights were on and relaxing music playing! We were speechless. The house was perfect and the fishing was great. We stayed 4 nights and still didn't want to leave. As soon as we got home we looked at the next time we are going to go down. Our stay was great and would recommend it to anyone.

  This pretty little cottage appears inviting to the guest with it's use of bright cheerful colors, nautical theme and veiws of the Bay. Port Alto is the perfect restful get-a-way and you could not be more comfortable with all the amenities; especially the comfortable large beds. the property was clean with plenty of towels and well equipped kitchen. The owner made the rental and check-out process very simple and followed-up to be sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

  Breathtaking is the first reaction we had to this beautiful home and incredible view! We just spent the weekend and are ready for our next trip. The house is immaculate and so smartly decorated in a lovely nautical theme that gets you right in the mood for...the pier! Stepping outside the back door is taking a step into bay area paradise. Saturday morning a dolphin swam right past the pier and the pelicans are so fun to watch. If you like crabbing then this is a prime spot to find dinner! Sunrise and sunset over the bay are amazing and very romantic. The property owners were delightful to deal with - prompt with responses while we were booking and thoughtful and courteous throughout the whole experience.
