My trip to Porto Playa was beyond amazing - I'd give it more stars if I could! The hotel was better than any I've ever stayed at in terms of its price in relation to the pristine quality. I agree with other reviewers that it almost seemed too good to be true! Porto Playa was close enough to all of he action but off the main path just enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, too. The 3 story penthouse we stayed in was pure luxury, including amazing views of the beach from the master suite and rooftop, incredibly comfortable beds, and decor that I wish I could have taken home with me! It was incredibly spacious and had a fabulous full kitchen that was perfect for reheating our delicious local leftovers for quick snacks and lunches. The staff was also great and Jose at the front desk was always available to us to answer questions or check in on us to see how our stay was. Although we didn't spend too much time at the pool as we preferred the beach club, the pool was still great! It's on the second level which I thought was really cool and it was usually pretty quiet by late afternoon, so we typically finished off our day with a quick dip while the sun was setting. In regard to the beach club, where most of our time was spent, I was literally hugging the staff by the end of the trip. They were so attentive, friendly, and the service was excellent. Kike, a staff member, even came to the rescue with aloe and cool, wet towels to calm our sunburn! In terms of the food, Porto Playa was right near everything you could ask for. I still couldn't tell you what my best meal over my 6 days there was as everything was so amazing. Whether you're into the local Mexican food, French food, Italian food, larger, more busy restaurants, or quiet, off the beaten path restaurants, it's all available to you and all within walking distance. The night life is great too! From clubs, casual bars, swanky rooftop lounges, and beach side bars, there are many options to have fun and let loose. All in all, I would recommend Porto Playa in a heartbeat to anyone looking to visit Playa Del Carmen and I plan to revisit as soon as I can!

This unit and location is excellent. Private rooftop deck and spa. Beautiful pool with waterfalls. This facilty is top notch beauty and elegance. Security guards at door ensuring quiet and safety. Staff is attentive and caring. One block from the beach, use of Indigo Beach Club and the premier " Gym " in playa is downstairs ! Famed 5th Ave one block other direction... what more do you want ? Nothing, its all there ! Enjoy it :)

Great vacation in this condo!

We were so pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to this large condo. It was e en better than the photos and it was beautifully decorated and maintained. The condo had many stairs to get to the rooftop but the views were gorgeous. We enjoyed coffee in our pjs every morning with a view of the ocean and sometimes we started the day in our privated hot tub. The owners were great to work with and the location of this condo can't be beat!

Stayed here last year and the owner has done many improvements to a vacation home that was already perfect. Love the decor, the pool, the beach club and the Gym. Owner was a delight to work with!

We loved the location of this resort. It was better that we expected and we were in the best location. the staff was great and we can stop talking about them with our traveling friends. William the concierge was very helpful in finding us a chef and recommending some great places to dine. We loved the interior space and its decor in this large condo....the grounds were landscaped with many tropical plants. We will return to Porto Playa!

Perfect Sanctuary!

This property was just as described. Marble throughout and beautiful views from inside and on the terraces. We liked to relax on the roof top to view the morning sunrises over the ocean and relax in the hot tub at night under the stars. We love how nice everyone treated us. The beach club was very nice but we really loved the Gym which is basically below room. This resort was very quiet even though we were steps away from the busy 5th Ave. Great Location!

This condo was amazing inside and out! Location was perfect and staff was so helpful. Any issue was handled quickly because they have a 24 hour staff, front desk, concierge, and security. We had daily maid serice and bottled water delivered to our room. Loved the large pool and the beach club! This place was perfect because we were at the beach and steps to the famous 5th ave. We were also very close to the night life but far enough away that we could not hear the noise

A quiet hidden diamond one block from the beach. From this unit you can see the ocean from family room, kitchen, Master Bedroom and private rooftop deck. Grill on the privacy of your own deck and eat under your own palapa while looking at ocean. Go in your own rooftop hot tub or go downstairs to infinity pool in tropical gardens. Walk one block to the inclusive Indigo Beach club spend a relaxing day at beach come back to condo & go downstairs and work out at The Gym... Playas best. Very accommodating people

Beautiful Three Bedroom Penthouse in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

The view is priceless at this wonderful place at Porta Playa. It is a very luxurious property. The rooms are a great size with an attached bathroom with double sinks and walk in showers, plenty of closet space as well. The location is awesome. Only a block away from 5th Avenue, with wonderful shopping and excellent restaurants to choose from. Such a relaxing atmosphere at the Beach Club at El Taj the sister property to Porta Playa. The beach is so beautiful and the pier to take a walk out on is right there. Take some time to enjoy the rooftop deck with the spectacular views and enjoy the hot tub, you could see Cozmel. We would have lunch up on the deck or enjoy an evening of drinks with our friends, so beautiful up there. The condo itself is amazing, from the furnishings to the kitchen space to the decor. I would highly recommend this spot for families or couples getting away, it fits everyone's needs.

Our Experience staying in Porta Playa was AMAZING!!! THe 3 bedroom condo Penthouse was perfect for our families. It was in MINT condition and was very spacious! The view was incredible. Having a private hot tub was nice to have. WE will definitely stay there again when we go back next year!

" One of the best units in ALL of playa"

I have been to playa many times and this is one of the best places ive ever stayed. I rented this unit for some family friends and their 9 year old daughter. It was their first time visiting mexico and they were blown away by playa and this unit! I was staying separate from them with others but loved it so much i came over at the tail end of my trip and rented it for myself and extended my stay! Ive stayed at other units before at Porto Playa but this was the best one by far. Spectacular roof deck and view to me is the key. These signature properties all have these amazing roof decks but this one was one of the best. It had a great view off to the right of the turquoise sea and another view down to pool. Great sitting area on the deck as well as comfy loungers, hot tub and private outdoor shower across from hot tub. Some units do not have the private shower but a more open concept. Full grill, fridge you name it! You could come up from the pool and enter the slider on your lower level deck which was also a unique feature to this room. The inside is spotless and has great open living area and kitchen and even a washer and dryer hidden upstairs in the bathroom. Master bedroom views are amazing. Perfect place for multiple couples or couples with kids. My friends daughter had the time of her life. This unit is all the pictures show and more. The owner is fantastic and was a breeze to deal with, she really takes pride in her condo and it shows throughout. Porto playa is set away from the main action and noise but still literally just a few minutes walk to everything on 5th so location couldn't be more perfect. Its more quiet and peaceful then some of the other condo hotel resorts and no taxis needed! Walk to the beach walk to shops and restaurants and then come back to your spectacular condo Oasis @ Porto and relax. A+ *****

Hi I'm Mikaela, from NY and I am 9 years old. This was the first time going to Playa del Carmen and I stayed at Porta Playa. We had three floors to ourselves. I had a great time there! You have a nice pool and even a hot tub on the roof all to yourself. The view is awesome! The food in town was great. It's right next to shops and restaurants or you can go right down the street to the beach. I liked having breakfast on the beach at El Taj. We had everything we needed and plus the service was great there. I had an awesome Christmas vacation and it will always be my #1 vacation ever. Make sure you get into that hot tub at night under the stars (estrellas). Im working on my spanish for next year! :) Adios.

We were lucky enough to spend one week at Porto Playa for our honeymoon and despite a little rough weather, we loved every minute! Check-in was easy and informative. Communication was seamless as everyone spoke excellent English. Service during our entire stay was on point, the staff is so accommodating and the concierge suggested some fun activities that we probably would not have even known about otherwise. The penthouse condo is a beautiful, luxurious space yet it is also comfortable and inviting. Clean with contemporary decor, I'd liken it to a 5-star resort. While the property is situated one block from the beach the views make it feel like it is sitting right on the water! The rooftop deck is where I'd live if this were my home - I spent many hours throughout the week just lounging up there with a good book. The penthouse also has very easy access to the pool, and the pool is wonderful - calm, serene, and refreshing in that warm sun! Now to be honest, the penthouse is such a wonderful place I would've been happy to never have to leave it. BUT since the condo is located just one block from the beach as well as only one block from the main strip in Playa we had to get out and explore every day. And the big plus is that you're always so close to home, you don't have to use a public restroom if you don't want to chance it (I'm not prissy but knowing I had the choice of 3 clean and gorgeous bathrooms made it a no-brainer for me). Midway through our honeymoon we were surprised with the threat of a hurricane. It was an interesting experience but we never worried a moment because the staff made sure to keep us well informed. The day the hurricane was supposed to hit it was downgraded to a tropical storm, which still required us to stay in doors for most of the afternoon through the night. We borrowed movies from the concierge and with the fridge stocked full from the MEGA the hubby got busy in the fabulous kitchen whipping together dinner. As I said before, I would've been happy to not have to leave the property so it was a good excuse to lounge on the comfy sofa and enjoy my beautiful surroundings. This property really has it all, I would come back with family, with my girlfriends and of course, for another romantic trip with the hubby!!!

Beautiful Beach Penthouse

Stayed at this luxurious condo just steps from this beautiful beach. Walk to everything! Great restaurants, shops, etc. all nearby. Beach club had all the free amenities already there: towels, sunbeds, umbrellas. So much room to spread out and fantastic views from the private rooftop. Can't wait to go back!

This condo was absolutely perfect!! We loved this unit and all the amenities that our provided. The private beach club is almost right out the front door of the condo. As soon as you walk out of the condo and walk towards the pristine aqua water, in less than 100 steps, your toes will be in the warm sand! the beach club is trendy and the beds and lounge chairs on the beach are extremely comfortable!!! Our family loved this unit and everything playa has to offer. The location is perfect!!! We can't wait for our next vacation! We already booked our next two trips :))

Just got back from a boys weekend trip for scuba diving with 7 guys. We just had the time of our lives. Less than 100 steps from the condo and your feet are in the sand! The nightlife is awesome, there are tons of trendy bars and restaurants. You can also enjoy the relaxing casual beach front dining at the many great restaurants in playa. The scuba diving is amazing and the water is crystal clear. As for the unit, it was perfect, spacious and had the best views. When we didn't go out for dinner we relaxed in the unit or on the rooftop penthouse and grilled out. We can't wait for our next trip. We have all spoke with the owners about our next trip. We are all coming back with our wives and children! Thank you so much for such an amazing time. Can't wait to go back to paradise !!

Esta condominio es simplemente preciosoo!! Mi familia y yo estaba aki por 8 dias y todo el tiempo nos quedamos bien impresionados! El club de la playa es un sueño. Puedes quedar todo el dia en las camas y sillas de lounge en frente de la vista mas bella de todas mientras escuchar el sonido del mar!! Y el mejor parte--el club de la playa es privado para todos los huespedes que estan quedando en el condominio y la playa esta una cuadra del condominio!!!! Unos pasitos del condominio y ya estas con tus pies en la arena!! :) Ya hablé con los dueños y tengo la próxima vacación reservado y no podemos esperar!! This condo is absolutely beautiful! My family and I were impressed 100% of the time we stayed in this condo! Everything is amazing, the condo, the gym, and the beach club. The beach club is a dream! You can stay all day relaxing in the most comfortable beach chairs and beds they have at the private beach club. The beach club is only 1 block from the condo door, only a few steps and your feet are in the warm sand!! We already spoke with the owners and we have our next vacation planned!! I went here with my family over the summer and i must say it was definitely one of the highlights. The place itself was very clean, with beautiful furniture, and an incredible view! The roof was my favorite part, complete with hammocks, a couch, a grill, and hot tub. You could even see the beach from the roof! The location was also fantastic. With only a short walk you will be in the center of the action. Shops, food, entertainment, and clubs are only a hop, skip, and a jump away! I could go on and on but what i will say is this, i had the time of my life staying at this place. I wouldn't trade the days here for the world, if your looking for relaxation, fun, and serenity... this is the place to be.

THis property is better than advertised. The pictures are nice but it appears larger and more spacious inside. Our family had plenty of room to spread out. The owners were helpful in making our reservatrion and providing information for cheap transportation and recomending great places to dine. I would recomend this to my friends and I hope to return next summer.

If you are considering going to Playa Del Carmen, you should stay here! This condo was not your ordinary condo, it was beautifully appointed throughout the unit. This is the best condo that I've rented with my family ever! From the moment we arrived until departure, everything was just perfect. The condo was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The staff was friendly, booked amazing adventures, and recommended delicious restaurants. We also dined in the condo utilizing the awesome grill on the rooftop terrace! Having dinner under the stars in the privacy of our own place was spectacular! There is so much to do and see just steps from the condo. The amazing shops on 5th Avenue were so close that when I lost my camera in the MAC store and realized it hours later, I only had to walk about 2 minutes to the store (and it was with security behind the counter). There is an amazing local Gelato storefront called Gelateria De Alma on 5th and 14th that we treated the children (and ourselves) to each night of our week stay! We deserved it after all of the fun in the sun! The owner of this condo, was very helpful recommending where to eat, activities, and local stores. She is passionate about her home and has made it a very welcoming place to visit. I will recommend her to all of my family and friends because she wants the best experience for everyone. Thank You for sharing your lovely home. I can't wait to bring our extended family for our Winter Vacation.

The best trip I've ever been on" My girlfriend and I just returned back from the best trip of our lives. It was located in the heart of playa centered around the best nightlife. The condo is located 1/2 a block from the famous 5th avenue, a cobblestone pedestrian street closed off to all cars. The 5th avenue is filled with open-air restaurants, shopping, bars, and thousands of people from all over the world. The ambiance is energetic, trendy, and romantic. The condo also has access to their own private beach club, "indigo", providing free beach lounge chairs and beds on the beach so you can really get comfortable. The master bedroom in the unit is breathtaking, you can see the turquoise and deep blue ocean from the giant window in the bedroom. The inside decor or the unit is amazing, covered in marble. The kitchen is well-equipt and has a nice kitchen table to throw a dinner party or invite friends over for drinks and appetizers. The pool is increible and right off the deck. The rooftop penthouse has a jacuzzi, grill top and the best view in town!! There is too much amazing things to say!!! All we can say is you need to go here now!! We already are planning our next trip !!!

Excellent elegant condo with ocean views in an amazing location, accessible to all of Playa del Carmen's best! Superb spacious and elegant condo with all the finest amenities! Perfect descriptions of this beautiful and immaculate ultimate relaxation environment, excellent maid service, with security and concierge available 24 hours/ day in this premier location. Perfect for all ages! Jacuzzi and Tiki lounge area under the stars at night and beautiful sunshine during the day was the best of the Best! Loved the Beach Club for the ultimate pampering and fun in the sun. Beautiful beach, surf and shoreline, great for leisurely walk or long run! I have rented numerous homes around thhe world using VRBO. This was by far the most beautiful of all. The owner was amazing and a wealth of information. We enjoyed learning about the touristy things to do as well as the local areas. Although the kitchen was enormous, we mostly used it to heat leftovers and for snacks and breakfast.... so many amazing restaurants that owner Colleen recommended on the beach and 5 th.... We were walking distance to everthing! The pools and hot tub in the compex were gorgeous and sparkling clean. However, we had our own private hot tub on the top level of the home as well. There is also an outdoor kitchen and dining table on the top level with panoramic views. It was an incredibly relaxing stay.... HIGHLY recommend this home for a perfect rental..... Playa was as nice as the Island of Mykonos in Greece and only a short nonstop flight. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

This penthouse served as the location for one of the best vacations I have ever had. The condo and amenities are incredible. The rooftop provides the PERFECT location for a fiesta with the best views of the ocean- the only penthouse in Porto Playa where you can see a full view of the ocean! You can easily relax poolside or take the two minute walk to the fabulous beach club. The pool feels private and the service at the beach club is great! The condo is spacious yet still feels like home when you are so far away. Easily cook in the beautiful kitchen, or walk out the door to 5th avenue where you can find the best places to eat, shop, and drink! I plan on staying here each time I return to the beautiful Playa Del Carmen.

Wow! This place was perfect! The location cannot be beat! We vacationed with 2 other couples and the accomadations were nothing short of luxurious! The best restaurants were in walking distance. Be sure to try the Italian Restaurant Casa Mediterriana! Great conceierge; told us the best places to go. So much better than staying in a hotel. Loved the beach club and free beach chairs that were just like beds on the beach. So trendy and fabulous! We cannot wait to return!

Loved the condo. It had everything I would ask for in a condo. The view is great. The pool is awesome and beach Is a half block away. Free use of indigo beach club and free use of gym in building are huge pluses. Great restaurants and bars are steps away. Would recommend to families or couples .

the hotel staff was great and attended to all of our needs and more. We loved the air-conditioned gym in the first level of our condo because the machines were new and it was a nice break from the sun. Best part was that is was very quiet and yet one block to the dining and shopping district!! Great food!

Our trip was PERFECT from the time we walked in the door! So clean, bright and welcoming. The concierge was so helpful with recommendations for wonderful dining and activities. We were able to utilize the healthclub which is very clean as was the condo and grounds.... Pefection!
