My family of four just got back from a 3 night stay at Points to View. The best surprise was that we were SO close to the water and unlike some spots in Alligator Point, there was enough beach to set up our chairs, toys, etc. The house was perfect for us and so comfortable. Two things to know--if you've never been to Alligator Point, it is very remote. I would definitely plan to bring plenty of groceries and plan to stay in for dinner most nights. The closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away and restaurants are at least that far too. The kitchen at Points to View was very accommodating but does not have a dish washer so you might want to bring paper products and dish cloths! The area is very quiet and in March there weren't many other people staying close by. We felt comfortable running up to the house and leaving our children out on the beach for a short time alone and letting them play outside the house in the yard and surrounding area. Overall, our stay was very relaxing and I would definitely return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

You don't have to have pets to enjoy Points To View, but if you do, you will find a really comfortable place for you and your buddies. Having a fenced yard makes the whole experience more relaxing. They run on the beach (right here!) then sleep in the yard until they dry off. I searched a long time for a truly pet friendly rental and this is. A real beach house, everything is casual and tranquil and quiet. Town is nearby for essentials but we have been driving to Apalachicola a lot for exceptional seafood. We're here for 10 more days and don't want to think about heading North. Weather has been perfect.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much. I hope you come back. Sydney

My friend and I had the pleasure of spending 10 days at the Point. We found the house to be clean, nicely decorated and completely furnished with everything we needed for a stress free vacation. The location is great whether you choose lazing on the beach or a more active experience; kayacking, fishing or biking (2 bicycles provided by owner) is available. We also enjoyed visits to Appalachicola, Wakulla Springs, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Points to View. So did our dog. The house is comfortable and within a hundred feet of the ocean. Just down the road is a terrific state park. This morning's blood-red sunrise took my breath away. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere was just was we needed, and we hope to return soon.Recommended for: Pet owners, sightseeing.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get to enjoy this home for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Points to View is very comfortable and well furnished. The fenced in yard was fabulous for Abby (our fur baby)! The walk to the beach was so quick and easy. We spent most of our time on the beach, but we found most everything we needed in the house while we were inside. We would love to stay here again in the future (for a longer amount of time)! Thanks for opening your home to us! TerriRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you. We look forward to seeing you again. Sydney

Points was a very nice place to stay. Our family loved the home and want to come back again soon. We had the entire street to ourselves until the last day. It was so quite and peaceful due to the remote location. The home was very nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable with the memory foam tops. We had a great time fishing, snorkeling, and walking on the beach. We even got to watch a deer come up to eat under the tree next door at dusk. There's a friendly little squirrel living in the tree in the front yard that would always welcome us back to the house when we came back from the beach. We got to see the dolphins and it was cool to see the sea turtles pop up 2 feet from the shore line. The only problem we had was the no-see-ums and biting flies at dusk when the wind wasn't blowing much. Sydney was very helpful and easy to work with. The listing for the property was spot on. I highly recomend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Points to View is a very comfortable house with comfortable beds on a quiet and beautiful part of N. Florida beaches, just a short walk to the water. We rented kayaks and took paddling trips in the Wakulla River and out into the Gulf, saw manatees, dolphins and were here for the horseshoe crab mating season, not to be missed. Sydney was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and has done a fine job of decorating the house. We'll be back after we work off the fabulous seafood we ate on this trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fantastic, Awesome and Rare are the best words to describe our experiences at this magnificent property! I never write a review before the vacation is over, but this is the EXCEPTION, rather than the rule! One of the best features of this property is that it has all the conveniences of home, but it is secluded enough that you feel that you are "getting away from it all!" The house is superbly furnished. It has a fully furnished kitchen with all the AV accoutriments necessary if you have teenagers and need to keep in touch with business back home! It is just a few feet from the beach, which makes it wonderful if you have kids! It even has the bonus of a bell in the driveway to "call the troops home" from the beach for lunch or dinner! It has provided us a wonderful vacation, one which we would like to repeat! If you have kids, this is especially "kid and pet" friendly! It has a hose outside the front of the house to clean everyone off before going in. If you have tweens, as I do, I felt perfectly safe in letting my kids go to the beach without my direct supervision! If you have small children, the water is not cold as it is very shallow at least 100 feet out! No scarey fish around! If you have a pet, there is a fence around the property along with a small tub your pet can get cool in or get a drink from! With a microwave, direct tv two complete baths, wifi and full washer and dryer, THIS IS THE PLACE TO VACATION on a budget! Fantastic, Awesome and Rare...a tremendous value for all that you get!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 8/8

Our stay at the cottage was more then we expected it to be. We enjoyed the beach being so close, the fenced in area, and the fishing was just great too. Walking the beach with its white sand and the sunrise and sunsets were very beautiful and added many memories to our trip. We went to the Festival at Carrabelle and experienced our first time eating alligator meat. Also the restaurants were great a couple were "Old Salts" in Carrabelle and "Backwoods Bistro" in Sopchoppy. We'll be back and hope to extend our stay next year!!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved Points to View. The beach was great - sandy and white and we were usually the only ones on it. There were dolphins swimming in the water every day. You could hear them playing in the water from the yard. The house was neat, comfortable and cozy. You could always find a shady spot in the yard and you could see the gulf clearly from the front and back yards. It was great to take my dog to the beach and let her swim - the dolphins didn't like her too much though! Would definitely consider going back and would recommend it to anybody who prefers not to climb steps every time they come back from the beach.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much! We hope you do come back. I rented a 2 story once and it was cute for a day. I got real tired-real fast climbing stairs all the time. Thank you again, S Allen

I had a very relaxing and enjoyable week while staying at this house. All that is stated in the details of this rental is an understatement for the actual experience. The house was easily accessible for my young daughter who is handicapped, and Sydney made sure she was able to enjoy her time there as well. The house was very comfortable. The beach was a lot closer than the pictures made it appear. The time we went literally gave us the beach to ourselves for almost the entire stay. We were able to relax and enjoy our time there and would love to come back again. Sydney was available for anything I needed and went above and beyond in ensuring an enjoyable stay. Thanks Sydney.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful place to visit! One would never guess by looking at the exterior of this simple little house that inside is a beautifully furnished home! The soft 'ice cream' color-toned walls were soothing and welcoming. The accesories and furniture gave one the feeling that a very nice family would soon be coming home to meet you. Because I have a problem climbing stairs, the 'walk right in' aspect of this house wes perfect for my situation. I was delighted with the wonderfully-equipped kitchen. When vacationing, we eat many of our meals 'at home.' This kitchen was a wonderful place to work, and since I love to cook, it was one of my favorite places to be! My husband truly enjoyed fishing from the beach which was only a short walk to the end of Bass Street where we were staying. Having the ocean so close was a real pleasure for him. For me, one of the best things about this house was the warm feeling inside along with the peace and quiet outside. Being away from the usual hustle and bustle of a Florida town was a definite plus for us. It is said that this is the 'forgotten coast' of this state. Let's hope that it continues to be known as that, for it is perfect the way it is.....no changes needed! ' We enjoyed trips to Crawfordsville where we bought food at Walmart and to Carrabelle where we found a wonderful local restaurant. It is located a mile after crossing the bridge over the Carabelle River. They serve all three meals. The food is hot, delicious with generous portions and is reasonably priced. Watch carefully for the painted sign advertising 2Al's Cafe at the Beach...then just walk in past the netting and enjoy a great meal! If it had been possible my husband and I would have stayed another week. For us, this was a real find for a great vacation!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
