I rented this adoreable cottage for a month and found it to be delightful. I had lived in Rumson for over 50 years, moved away, and used this rental to visit friends and family. It was in pristine condition when I arrived and most comfortable and cozy. The owner's sister was available for any needs and the neighbors friendly and also helpful. I felt like I was home again. It is in a quiet area but near the center of town with stores nearby. Friends and family who visited also loved it and made sure that I wanted to rent it again next year. I often took a walk after dinner, enjoying the boats on the river and the people I met along the way. I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

We looked at a few places in the area and I am SO glad we decided on this one. The house is tucked away from the street and was perfect for my group of 6. Where to begin... it's clean and comfortable and the guest house was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen has everything you could ever need, the BBQ was fantastic combined with the outdoor picnic table, bedrooms were comfortable and clean, and when it unexpectedly rained, the living room provided the perfect setting for evening cocktails and conversation.. we may have even slipped in a game of Monopoly (along with scrabble, chutes and ladders, and yahtzee). When the sun was out the next day, the provided beach and kayak permits were put to good use. The Kayak launch was a block away and anyone can pull their own kayak with the provided dolly. The neighborhood was perfect with a pub blocks away along with a deli right down the street. I will return soon - would recomend to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing weekend or weekday getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
