  A week here is sure to rejuvenate even the most tired of souls. Everything was as described by the owner - it felt like a lovely, casual home away from home! Just bring food, if you want to stay in and cook, or go out an explore some of the wonderful local restaurants - Keegans Seafood Grille (excellent specials!) is just a short hop north or sample the fresh-made Key Lime doughuts at Lighthouse Doughnuts about 1/2 mile south. Get 'em early, because they go quickly! Thank you, Shawn, for this offering your lovely beach condo for rent! This was on the best experiences I've had on VRBO. We'll be back for sure!!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

  We stayed at the nest during my wife's spring break and it was everything we could have asked for ...and more. The condo and the grounds were beautifully kept and clean. The condo also had a spacious bedroom and was very comfortably laid out. We have been staying at different places for the last 12 years around IRB and this was definitely one of our favorites.The location was perfect for walking to many restaurants and the beach was not crowded at all even though it was spring break. The private view of the gulf from the balcony is second to none! The photos don't do this place enough justice and the TV was never turned on during our stay. When you can sit and look at the water...hypnotizing. The owner was easily accessible and I have recommended this place to many of our friends and family. We hope to return for many years to come.

  My husband and I are active, retired seniors and we stayed at The Nest for February and March of 2012. We wished we could have come earlier and stayed longer! The Nest is the perfect spot in so many ways: it couldn't be located any closer to the amazing beach, with a great balcony view of same; is squeaky clean; lovely and bright; has a comfortable queen size bed in a larger than usual bedroom; a huge shower; lots of storage space in a good sized dresser and closet; has comfortable furniture and a big flat-screen TV and a great big foot stool; giant beach towels; lots of nice pots, pans and dishes -- and a great collection of glasses. We especially loved the privacy of the balcony in the evenings. The photos give a fairly accurate picture of the condo, but don't show it off to best advantage. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in for the first time. The photost don't show what we found to be a really nice feature of this open space unit: the kitchen area is raised up a step which provides a gorgeous view through the double sliding balcony doors while you're cooking and/or eating. At the same time you also look over the large living room, and the whole unit is kept cool by ocean breezes and big, quiet ceiling fans -- unless of course you want to turn on the air conditioner..... which we didn't. The owner and manager are very pleasant to deal with, easily reached by long-distance phone, and instantly helpful when needed. We were within easy walking distance of some terrific restaurants, and the CVS is only a couple of blocks away. Great seafood at Crabby Bills. It's very convenient location is one of the many terrific features of this condo. The other people in this 4-unit building were very friendly, and it was fun to socialize in the common area at sunset. This grassed area and large boardwalk-style deck, complete with lawn furniture, provided an alternate to the beach for sunbathing on days when we didn't feel like hitting the beach. Also nice to have a deckside shower to rinse off the sand on the way back from the beach. The Nest is very much like a comfortable home away from home, and we are so happy we found it. We'll be going back next February and as often as we possibly can over the years.

  I spent a week at The Nest an thoroughly enjoyed myself. The location is really great.. just steps from the beach with a great deck for outside dining and amazing sunsets. Upon arrival, the unit was extremely clean and well maintained and I we realized that everything we needed for a great vacation was right at our fingertips. The description and photos were spot on, so you won't be in for any surprises other than good ones! Crabby Bills is 5 minute walk up the road and a great place to grab some dinner and/or drinks. A number of other local watering holes and restaurants lie within walking distance. A 5 minute drive to the marina offers jet ski rentals, speed boat rides, and dolphin cruises. I've been on the dolphin cruise twice and it was a BLAST! On top of it all, the owners were extremely helpful and kind when it came to answering questions and making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Overall The Nest has a lot to offer and is really a great place to kick back and relax. I can't wait until I get a chance to go again!

  The Nest is located on one of the most beautiful beaches we've been to (and we've been to a lot), which is one of the many reasons we are repeat visitors. The location is within walking distance to Crabby Bill's, P.J.'s, Jimmy Guanos, just to name a few. It's just a short 10 minute drive to Clearwater, which has numerous activities and restaurants, the pier is a great attraction at sunset! Just south of "The Nest" is John's Pass Boardwalk which houses wonderful restaurants and "watering holes" as well as great shopping! The condo and surroundings are well maintained, clean and comfortable. Love having morning coffee on the veranda, reading the local newspaper and watching the dolphins swim by! It's a perfect place for all ages!! Can't wait to go back.....

  This vacation spot was the perfect getaway! The private beach was unbeatable. The condo was immaculate and had everything we needed, from beach chairs to cooking supplies. We didn't choose to cook, and walked to the local restaurants instead (wonderful local fare!) The condo easily sleeps up to 4. It is open and breezy, with a view of both the ocean and the causeway. You can see the sunrise in the morning through the kitchen window, and the sunset off the balcony. It really is a little piece of heaven. I can't wait to go back!
