Our bright and cheery 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is on the third floor, so the views are incredible. You can watch the sunrise from the master bed, living room or private balcony. The carpeted master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and adjoining private tile floor bath. The guest bedroom is also carpeted and is furnished with a queen bed and adjoining private tile floor bath which can be closed off from the rest of the living space. The tile floor kitchen is open to the dining and living rooms. You can even watch shrimp boats from the sink as they reel in their 'fresh catch of the day' - which you can purchase from several local shrimp companies just a short drive over the Harbor River bridge.
You can enjoy crabbing at the island's crab dock, or shrimp and fish from the beach (SC fishing license required). You will also have access to the complex's private pool as well as the Beach and Racquet Club which boasts an Olympic-size pool, fitness center, tennis and basketball courts and store. Hunting Island State Park is only a couple of miles away if you have a desire to climb the historic lighthouse, fish from the pier, kayak, or bike or hike several trails. There are also numerous golf courses, scrumptious restaurants, unique shopping and interesting tours in and around historical Beaufort.
Harbor Island is a private gated community with 2.5 miles of beach. You can enjoy your morning walk on the beach watching the gorgeous sunrise over the ocean, or watch the beautiful sunset over St. Helena Sound at the end of your fun-filled day. Abundant with pelicans and dolphin trailing shrimp boats for an easy meal, the sights and sounds of the ocean will make you want to return again and again. If relaxation is what you're looking for, Harbor Island is the right place.

Nice place, well-maintained. Owners were friendly and easy-going. Condo was very comfortable and well-suited to the needs of my five-year-old, my 70-year-old mother, and me.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a GREAT stay at Harbor Island for 4th of July weekend. This condo was completely stocked with everything we needed and much more than we expected. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. My husband and I stayed with another couple and we enjoyed it so much we are already discussing when we can go again. Harbor Island is a nice area with not much traffic or crowds, but close enough to many restaurants, shops and things to do - the best of both worlds! The guys kayaked on Saturday while the girls stayed on the beach and shopped later. On Sunday we used one of the grills by the pool and had dinner and relaxed. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back soon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
