Raymond cottage description
Spring hasn't sprung quite yet, but summer vacation will be here before you know it and there's nothing better than a vacation in Maine!
Enjoy all the comforts of home from this spacious and tastefully furnished cottage on quiet Panther Pond in Raymond, Maine with Western-facing views. Our location is beautifully scenic, private, and provides you with easy access to the water via a large private dock.
The beauty of the lake is so captivating that we've created a variety of spots where you can simply sit and enjoy the view and the sweet sounds of the Loons. Hang out 'on top of the water' on our bench seat at the end of the dock, or sit back and swing on our A-frame swing at the water's edge, or if you prefer, recline in a chaise on the deck. No matter where you are, you have full view of the lake and it's beauty.
Hop in one of our three kayaks and paddle the lake or take the canoe for a fishing excursion, but be sure to leave time for quick jaunt into town for antiquing, berry picking or take a scenic drive and explore more of the lake region. Check local listings for a plethora of fairs and farmers markets and, after a long day of sight-seeing, there's nothing better than making smores by the fire.
A beautiful deck with comfortable seating overlooks the water and screened-in porch with Pottery Barn sofa and picnic table allows you to enjoy the views anytime you’re lounging or dining.
Abundant area attractions include: dining, site-seeing, scenic drives, amusements, apple picking, golf, ski, zip lining, snow tubing, museums, and shopping! ... In addition, Portland's historic 'Old Port' is just 30 minutes away.
Enjoy all the comforts of home and a beautiful lakefront setting for your family fun.

Small bit of paradise
Small bit of paradise
We have rented this beautiful cottage for two years. Both times we went, we found that it is as advertised. Wonderful setting on a clean and quiet lake. Comfy beds, cable, wifi, and good cell service. Wonderful deck overlooking lawn leading to the picturesque lake. Under the deck is a screened porch that is very nicely equipped. We swam, canoed, kayaked and made s'mores by the lake. It is a wonderful setting. The lake is clean and extremely refreshing. You do not see the neighbors and there is loads to do in the down east part of Maine. Portland, Boothbay and Kennebunkport or short drives away. This home offers all the creature comforts you will need and the owners are very accomodating and most importantly, the home was clean and ready for us!! We look forward to coming back next year!!

(A small excerpt from a lovely letter one of our guests left us...) "We had the BEST time at your cottage...the kids swam all day, we roated marshmallows by the fire, and no one wanted to leave!"
