GREAT 4 BR house-982 Ocean Blvd West-2nd Row. Enjoy the views of the marsh, waterway, and ocean of Holden Beach from the 4 balconies in this 2nd row inverted floor plan beach home. Nicely decorated. The back of the house boasts unobstructed marsh and Intracoastal Waterway views where you can watch the tide roll in and enjoy the island deer. The main level has hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a large open family room with TV and stereo. The dining room table seats 10. There's a well equipped kitchen with a large window overlooking the marsh.
The master bedroom/bath with a King size bed and small TV are on this main floor. A 2nd downstairs den is a great place to send the kids to play and hang out with their own TV/DVD. This den also has a queen pull out sleeper sofa. 3 more bedrooms (1 queen, 1 queen, 2 twins) and 2 more bathrooms are on this floor.
There's also High Speed Internet, an outside hot/cold shower, lots of rockers, easy beach access and a picnic table.
Linens for all beds provided from Memorial Day to Labor Day with weekly rentals only. Guests are required to bring towels.
Holden Beach is the perfect place to relax, read, jog and bike. Stretch out on the long wide beach, fish at the pier, enjoy the water slides, putt putt and nearby pavilion. Lots of nearby golf courses. If you're lucky, you'll see a turtle hatching one night!
Holden Beach has been ranked in the top 10 Beaches by National Geographic Smart Traveler and is in the Top 30 overall beaches of the AAA Vacation Travel Journal.

The home was lovely, and the photos depicted it accurately. The views from the kitchen and back porch were better then the photos. We saw a fawn and deer in the preserve area. The house is nicely located toward the end of the island, so there is less traffic. Crossing to the beach is an easy walk. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking, and the dinning area ample for gathering. The house is well stocked with books and board games, though we brought our favorites. It was nice to have the den on the first floor for video games, away from the upstairs (kitchen/dining/LR). It would have been nice to have a gas grill (charcoal grill is provided), but you can rent one from Boomer's. The owner was very helpful, and yes I would recommend this house to friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We took the suggestion from this guest to heart and recently added a full size gas grill to the outside of our property. Hopefully this will make outdoor cooking easier for everyone!

This is our second year staying at this house and our family loved it. Holden Beach is a wonderful, laid -back,family atmosphere oasis. The photos are accurate and has a well stocked kitchen. The owner was very accomodating and very responsive to any communications. I would recommend this house to anyone with a big family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

An amazing marsh view and a simple walk to the beach mixed with awesome weather made for a wonderful family vacation. Appreciated the cleanliness of the house, the layout and the quietness of Holden. Beautiful home at the beach! Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Lots of room and very well decorated. The view of the ocean and the sound were amazing. We look forward to renting this home again. We were looking for a beach to go to that would be family friendly...not too expensive...but spacious and convenient to the beach. I thought I was crazy...and then came across this listing. Jo was very responsive and forth coming with any information that we needed while making our decission. The beach was awesome for the kids. The price was right and it was plenty spacious for our four adults and 6 kids ages 6 and under. Just got home and had to write....we had a GREAT time! The house is beautiful and everything we could want. And just as pretty as the pictures if not more. My mom's favorite place was the upper back deck early in the morning watching for sailboats on the Intercoastal waterway with a cup of coffee and her book. The beach was wonderful and most of the time we were the only ones within 50 yards of the walkway over the dunes. The owner was great to work with and a wealth of information. All of us hated to leave this morning.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Just got back from spending five days in this lovely, well-appointed and pristine Holden Beach house that far exceeded my expectations! The home is very comfortable yet very nicely decorated and everything you need for a beach house vacation is at your finger tips. I loved the open layout on the main floor - and the fabulous dining table that could seat a large group. The property owners were great to work with; very responsive and helpful. If you're looking for a house to rent in the Holden Beach area, I would highly recommend this great rental property!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our house has no houses behind it. It backs up completely to the marsh and the Intracoastal Waterway. The marsh fills up with water several times a year during certain tides and moon phases and is absolutely breathtaking during these times. You can watch deer and egrets in the marsh and boats in the waterway from our back decks.

During certain tides and moon phases, the marsh behind our house fills up with water. It is absolutely breathtaking! We often see Island deer and egrets in the marsh. It's fun to relax on the back deck and watch the boats go by in the Intracoastal Waterway.
